- I manage to use a combination of sorcery and incantations and the Greatshield Soldiers to cheese Radagaon and Elden Beast fairly easily.

Incantations: Lord's Divine Fortification and Pest Threads.
Sorcery: Comet Azur
Summon: Greatshield Skeletons 9 or 10 (I forget which). Make sure to shield your skeletons with Lord's Divine Fortification during the Elden Beast phase to keep them alive longer.
Physick - I used Cerulean Hidden Tear to get infinite FP for 15 seconds - that's how I pull off the laser in the first part.
I did this post nerf of Pest Threads. The spell still works well it just takes longer and gives the Elden Beast a longer second half. It's annoying but Lord's Divine Fortification did a good job of keeping me alive.

Hands down the best guide to beating EB I have seen so far. Took just 2 attempts to do it with Pest Threads and the greatshield Summons 🙌🏻

@@DeezNuts-ig5kd 212-I think it’s still achievable at far lower levels than that with the summons, fortification incant and pest threads. I used comet azur for phase 1-that but only took 40 seconds

I did it at 150--60 int and 24 faith (65 and 29 with Marika's seal) Getting to the Elden Beast without using any heals makes the fight way less intimidating 👍

Thank you for this guide. I was struggling with Radagon/EB with various mage builds until I stumbled onto this video. Was able to finally bring down EB with this strategy in only three tries. Those GS Soldiers really are the best summons for this tactic. I tried Black Knife Tiche previously and she just couldn't aggro Radagon well enough.
So, this works.
After getting my gear and spells setup, I went in for essentially a practice run. I messed up everything, took me three Comet Azur's to kill Radagaon, and three of my Greatshield summons' were already dead. But I went ahead with the Elden Beast phase. Last two summons died when EB was at 80%, but Lord's Divine Fortification was the key. I had Crimson Bubbletear as the 2nd half of my Physick, and between that and Lord's DF, even as I ran around like chicken with its head cut off, I still was able to do the last 80%.
So basically no practice, first try, messed everything up and still was able to beat the bosses.

A tip if multiple soldiers survive Radagon phase, then Eldon Beast gets locked onto them. Run to the back and you can kill it super quick.

Cool tips. Radagon was out very quickly. Didn't know he/she could be taken out that fast. Never woulda thought of pest threads for the elden beast, but pest threads 'track,' so great idea. I got fairly high intelligence, so gonna try this out, next time.

I thought I turned to the darkside when I made a blood build for melenia. But I really turned to the darkside when I converted to magic for this boss. And I beat it first try with this build.
Yeah I think mine is bugged because I use it and I get hit by write a gun or the Eldon beast and it takes almost more than half of my health and I have 60 vigor

Thanks Chris Stallard for pointing out that I call the summons the "Greatshield Skeletons" instead of its correct name "Greatshield Soldiers." This was was recorded in V6.03 - after pest threads received its major nerf but before Comet Azur seemed to get nerfed a bit. Still works. Tested it on cooperator mode on June 17 2022 which if anything makes it harder due to the additional nerfs for cooperators. The key two ingredients are 1)Get Holy negation up and 2)Kill Radagon as fast as possible so you can endurance your way through EB using that holy negation. Greatshield soldiers help a lot with that second part no matter what.
I thought that the Elden Beast got 2 health bars? I've had it down to 1/4, a couple times but I have always been under the impression that I still had another one, to go. Thanks for the tips!

Great shield skeletons are my go-to on my mage because of their ability to hold bosses still to be blasted. I killed Radagon with Rock Sling and the EB with Meteorite of Astel, though it took about ten tries for the second part to work as you have to stun the EB in order to kill it in one cast.

You can use Erdtree Heal to heal your summons too... including all the GreatShield Soldiers in one cast

is there any way to know which spells do physical dmg?! I'm using Comet which seems like it would be magic dmg but the only thing that seems physicals I have is rock sling and meteor which do less dmg
Rock sling is great and it deals phys damage

What is your other tear in the physick? I’m the same level at the moment, but I’m not doing nearly enough damage compared to the video.
I'm not sure - usually I pair everything with Opaline so I get that free damage hit, but there's a chance I paired it with Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear that'd give +20% damage for magic for 15 seconds. That'd only help with Radagon though - it'd run out by Elden Beast. More significantly, I had Golden Order Seal +10 and Carian Regal Scepter +9 - that'll be more significant for damage output. There's a few other things you can do to kick up damage output from there.

@@SpeedCuber2016 a good alternative if you have it is the prince of deaths staff which scales well to FAI and INT. My build skewed INT so Regal was better but the damage gap between the two isn’t too different

I can't get lords divine fortification any one advice another incantation for protection or prevent damage of the elden beast will be appreciated
Off the top of my head, the Haligdrake Talisman and Pearldrake Talismans provide holy defense. You're using up talisman slots to make this work, but this is probably your best non-magic way of boosting holy. Your summons will probably die really quickly in Elden Beast fight but you should be able to make it work.
Why is the sword not working for me I have way over the stats for it did the sword update?
I don't use a sword at all - I use a staff (Carian Regal) and seal (Golden Order).

If I remember correctly magic black hole also sucks up elden stars from EB

Great-Jars Arsenal. Probably unnecessary for this fight but I like my fast rolls and it makes it easier to get encumbrance down to light for speed rolls. Sorry for the slow response! Didn’t realize people were still watching this even a year later!

OK I think that’s funny because the wind fortification doesn’t do anything for me it doesn’t matter whether I use it or I don’t use it three hits I’m dead
The first part works great, the Greatshield Soldiers will lock him down in phase 1, phase 2 is really shakey. I used Pest Threads but the range is very short and the Elden Beast keeps running away no matter how close you try to get to him he runs away every time.
Alright, I found if you wear the Faithful's Canvas and Flock's Canvas you can get more damage out of Pest Threads. I accidentally killed Millicent so I had to kill Gowry to get the bell for Pest Threads and the Flock's Canvas. Works great now!

Thank you because of you I defeated elden beast, before last 5 bosses I knew that comet azur will be so useful in last game but I didn't realize how prest threads will be so helpful and affective with elden beast consider it as a magic solution even I used 28 faith. Lord's divine was fine but you have to raise faith to get benifet from it, in total your mix is the best with last boss it deserves to change your attributes for it

how do you deal that much dmg to radagan? I got 99 int and my staff to +25 and still need at least 3 blasts of comet azure (I do only have 35 Mind not 40 but still that should be THAT big a difference)
What staff you're using? The scaling on the staff matters a lot. I'm using Regal Staff +9 for sorcery and Golden Order Seal +10. Regal Staff has pretty bonkers INT scaling which helps a lot. The Death staff +25 works ok, but you get reduced returns at higher int.
@@TheDataWizard I am using the staff I started with as astrologer cause it seems to have the best sorcery scaling and the others only seem to boost one type of spells where I never know which spells count, it does have an S int scaling
@@ashleycrow8867 That’s a very ok staff. You can make it work but it’s not gonna have the same damage potential as about half of the staffs in the game. The others either scale even faster with int or scale well with other stats. I recommend playing around a bit with others.
@@TheDataWizard I switched to the glintstone staff +25, by the stats the game tell me it's slightly worse, I didn't notice much of a difference but I got lucky with the skeletons taking good aggro and got it now so... thanks the protection spell certainly helped

Dude, that bubble is from the Physick flask with the Opaline Bubbletear mixed into it.

she is really not that bad linoels armor, a buckler, a bleed weapon with fast attacks, and stay aggressive. if you add a mimic its almost cheese.

On NG+3 pest threads absolutely do not work anymore. Had to use duelist great axe lions claw at 99 str 99 dex. Barely even damages him.
It's just complete ridiculous. Pest threads don't work anymore to begin with. Latest patch removed all player favorable RNG. Elden Trash is getting worse and worse with every patch.

Yes! All starting builds do is give you a head start on certain stats. The game also lets you reallocate stat points later on though I won’t spoil more details beyond that

yes, i switched to the ones you used. Don't know if there is a sequence or order to put them on the four slots to improve stats.

@@ExiledOnEarthMetal Figured it out - Godrick's Great Rune. Adds +5 to all attributes when activated. Apologies for not being clear in the video or previous description. Honestly haven't touched Elden Ring much in a year. I did quickly look up my base 158 stats though if you really wanted to reverse engineer things: V 35 M 30 E 25 S 13 D 12 I 62 F 45 A 15.
What’s your armor set it’s dope
Black knife set for the clothes, Alberich hat for the hat. Not the most practical gear set but as you mentioned it looks dope and gives a bit of poise for PVP in case if I get ganked with a light attack. Won't stop much for anything more than light attacks, so getting good at rolls is helpful. If get endurance to 20-30 and use talismans, you can get it down to light build for speed rolls.
Just beat Radagon and Elden beast in first try using your guide, had to rebirth by Rennala to make it like your stats in particular faith.
This is the most helpful and probably the most straight forward guide on youtube.
For those how are struggling here is how I did it!
On Radagon best Ash is Greatshield Soldier Ashes+10(max upgrade) as they just keep it in one place and you can easily do Comet Azur!
On Elden Beast used Pest threads and they are awesome, make sure to do Lord Devine fortification as soon as you get to elden beast arena and apply it again in mid fight, do not worry about ash anymore and just get close to elden beast and do pest threads, try to doge few of his moves and you beat it easily!

The level in the video shows 158, but your stats are way way above that. How did you do that? Was it special armor or something?
My talismans. The soreseal talismans add +5 to a set of stats (radagon=physical, marika=magic) that when put on basically give you 20 to 40 bonus levels at a steep cost of taking a lot of extra damage. And it sucks against Radagon if he’s able to connect an attack. But if you kill him quickly? Not a problem. And Elden Beast is mostly an endurance test as long as you can absorb holy attacks.

Ok. This worked. Pest threads was definitely enough to fell the beast. I think getting behind him right out the gate and spamming pest threads is the key. He was at half health soon after. Then just stick with pest threads. It might be nerfed but it still hits. I survived with all my soldiers. Thanks.

Idk why everyone agrees how great pest threads is it barely damages the elden beast for me as well. Must be using it wrong
I was bad at making this video, but Elden Beast seems to take a lot more damage if you hit it in its butt. It also got nerfed like twice. If it isn't doing it for you, I'd try swapping out a physical damaging incantation or sorcery.

I have gotten pretty close to his butt and pest threads don’t seem to do 1/4 of the damage you get in your video. I’m gonna try a solid few more times with pest threads though so I’ll let you know if I’m just stupid and needed to figure it out!
How at a skill level of 158 do you have the stats for a character of a level of someone at 297? I really wanna know, because I'm at 202 and I'm soooooo many points away from you. So...are ya flubbing something? Inquiring minds wanna know.
Marikas Soreseal + Godricks Great Rune = 60 points of total stat boosts albeit they’re distributed across several stats. Then there’s the spell speed one that effectively adds a bunch of Dex that only applies to spells. TBH - I did it so I can have my light rolls and look cool in that armor while PVPing.

EDIT: tried to post a link to my full build but it reset. But it does add up to level 158 if you do it manually.
Azurs comet is useless for me i had int of 65 barely did any damage
Good strategy but it's annoying that I almost have to respec to a strong faith build just to beat the damn final boss.
Radagon goes down quick for sure, but pest threads aren't doing enough damage. Messing with rock sling now.

That's cool, but azurs is quite a bit nerfed now. It's not nearly as op as it used to be. It still works, but not the way it used to

I may have been too quick when talking about it and I'll update the description, but Cerulean Hidden Tear in the physick will give you 15 seconds of unlimited FP consumption. More than enough time to blast Radagon with what I call the Infinite Anime Laser. That'll blow through a lot of bosses, but they need to stay still or be stunlockable to take advantage of it - the greatshield skeletons make that possible. Hope this helps. I'll update the description to include that detail more clearly.

@@Raynedog00 It is - Marika basically gives you 20 free levels at the cost of 15% damage against you. Pretty bad tradeoff in PVP unless you're really good at evading or instakilling, but a pretty sweet deal for PVE content. Godrick Great Rune can add another +5 to all stats to boot though it chews up a Great Rune and it goes away when you die. Big stats boosts are not a problem in this game as long as you're willing to eat the tradeoffs.

Welp, guess I'm screwed because I'm level 161 and not a single level was spent on Faith. Int build.
If your faith isn't super low, you might be able to inflate it to FAI 27 using medallions, godrick's great rune, and certain clothing. That'll get you to Lord's Divine Fortification. For sorcery against EB, I don't like gravity spells for their long cast time which is why I pest threaded, but Rock Sling's a good one to try.

Do you have the DLC? If so, the black steel greatshield can be infused with holy for 100 holy resist.
hah this is shit, tried it with a lvl 200 nd it have to be nerfed, I almost find this one harder then Melania, she took me 3-4 attempts

Pest threads does no damage compared to the video. Obviously pre patch video.
It was recorded after the pest thread patch, and other commentators have been having success with it. It's not as strong as it once was, but it still works well enough. It works particularly well if you hit EB in its butt and spam as much hits. I hope this helps.
Maybe look at when the video was uploaded vs when the patch was released. Don't forget that some seals are better than others and Incantations scale depending on seals, talismans, activating great runes etc. Some seals are only great for dragon based Incantations etc.
I only say this because I made this very mistake before and after switching things around, adding stones to seals etc then did I notice a HUGE difference in DMG output.
But yeah, I feel your frustration man.
Pest Threads works well if you are close to him and the threads travel through his body, if you are further away and they just touch him they will do very little damage. Got to be close in and spam like crazy
Yeah this boss fight is dogshit without magic jesus I’ll have to give this a try when I reinstall the dogshit game. I enjoyed it until the last boss and it’s actually pathetic as fuck that I have to change my whole build just to do this shit. I’m lvl 200 and still can barely do any fucking damage to the beast but I shit on the first part without getting hit once and I use no summons until the beast.

Summon = easy mode.
This doesn't work (anymore). This all depends on good RNG. And any player favorable RNG has been patched out with the latest patch. Elden Trash is getting worse and worse with every patch.

I haven't used any magic, I don't have a lot of intellect. Last night after so many tries, I just killed him. Normal, without any tricks, cheese, just plain old dodging, getting behind him, hitting, dodging again etc. Oh what i did use is the incantation that protects from holy damage, thats the only thing I used. Even my mimic made it to the end of the fight, pure skill if I may say so myself. I kept on dodging and hitting patiently. If I may give an advice, I kept the aggro from the elden beast, cause the mimic doesn't dodge the magic attacks feom the beast, so he got squashed a lot, so i made sure the beast kept on attacking me, and when he didn't, I made sure to hit him asap on his cracked belly to get the extra dps. Also, always dodge towards Radagon when he does his moves with his hammer, that way he misses a lot and you get a window to attack him. Anyways, you really need luck as well, lots of it, it is not a very easy fight imho.

@@lastxtrick2033 look at guides on here that show easy melee kill on this dude. Some weapons like rocking two Magma blades, or using the L2 of Blasphemous Blade, dual Hoslow's Blood Whip with Bloodhound Step ash or Rivers Of Blood (great to switch to vs Elden Beast once you kill Radagon spamming L2 with Blasphemous blade) are all great options along with either Mimic summons or Tiche summon.
