Gota hand it to Michael Anthony. Generally bassists are seen as underrated and "less-than" but look at him up there. Just a kid from Pasadena who grew up watching Sammy in Montrose on Midnight Special just like the rest of us and now he shares the stage with him. He went from bassist for the world's greatest rock band to this! And he's still standing, singing, and looking good for a 68 year-old man. He might've got scewed by Van Halen but he's a very smart dude and he's still out there every night putting it down at a top pro level.
..yes..a lot of people don't realize Sammy is actually slightly older than Robert Plant..he's also 7 years older than David Lee Roth..he's closer in age to a lot of 1960's-early '70's rockers, but he always seemed so young and energetic for his age...looked it, too!..we associate him more with the '70's, '80's, and even into the '90's...I actually think his voice peaked when he was in his mid-late 40's...he's starting to look old now, but when you put it into perspective, how many '75-'76 year old guys do you know who can get around a stage and sing like this?....
Mike is truly happy these guys ROCK TO NO END, mike can sing to no end finally we get to see MIKE be at his BEST, Sammy Hagar Band/ The Circle, will go to Rise in History as the very best Band Around,.Great Group of Musicians,............Great to see how they show respect for each other,.............
MIKE DESERVES THIS RESPECT , THIS GUY IS TRUE TALENT, VIC JOHNSON IS THE VERY BEST, THE CAN PLAY ANYTHING, TRUE TALENT, THANKS TO SAMMY HAGAR FOR BEING THE COOL GUY HE IS,.....................
Thanks for this Great video here, My Best Concerts were at Pine Knob, in the 70's & 80's, This Band Here is one of the Best Rockin Bands out there today, Sammy & Mr. Johnson are very Underrated Guitarists, Jason & Mike are a Diamond Rhythm Section, A Great Show, Cousin Figel
I attended high school 75-79 in Gatlinburg Tennessee, need I say more, hillbilly rock at its finest ! First booze, first bud, first boobs all had to be while listening to VH. Saw them 5 times late eighties thru nineties. Sammy was high on that hillbilly rock as well. I couldn't drive my 57' Chevy 55 either. Glad I found this 👍🏻👍🏻❤ 🌬☠🏴☠️
Many think Van Halen was Better with David Lee Roth. I DO NOT SEE IT!! Sammy is a true legend of Rock!! Hats off to him for still being this great At 75!!!
I TOTALLY AGREE, John!! I've always said that DLR was a showman, plain & simple. He HAD a great set of pipes, NO disputing that fact, but there came a time when he developed what I call "Space-Panties" & thought his ass was outta this world... Case in point; the ass-less chaps in Paris!! No, seriously what I mean to say is that he overstepped his authority when it came time to make critical decisions for the direction that the band would take. VH was ALWAYS a VH-Bro's enterprise & EVH was the CEO, PERIOD. Odd, given that Alex was the elder brother, yet he was confident enough to relinquish that position to his younger sibling. Sammy, on the other hand IS an accomplished Musician Firstly, with a LONG History of consistancy, either as a member of Montrose or fronting his own band, and Secondly, a CONSUMATE showman as evidenced by his career post-VH & he STILL HAS the pipes & the Licks to prove it!! Need I say MORE?? Note to Self: Gonna have to pony up & purvey some of his Blue Aguave Mezcal to cross that off my bucket-list....
listen to sammy and mike, you get the (best of both worlds)!!!no ego and enjoy the music!!eddie was a control freak!!!you cant have a band with guitar player and drummer as he thought!!you need a singer!!!
I just seen some guy talking about Taylor Hawkins tribute and Wolfe Van Halen playing his dads work and he couldn’t understand why well if the comments would have been turned on I’d told him that Van Halen was Taylor’s favorite band and that’s why he did it I know a lot of people watched those 2 concerts and Wolfe was fantastic I know Sammy talked about it already because there’s a lot of talk about a Van Halen tribute for Eddie I really hope it happens Eddie was loved by millions of people Van Halen was loved by millions all over this world I think Alex is still grieving for his brother
I was at this kick-ass concert 6 days later in Denver! Sammy, WHY didn't you play "FUNKY FENG SHUI"? I love that song! And howdy to VICTOR. We once knew each other in Colorado Springs back in the 70's, when I played drums in "On Tap", and you were in "Starshadow". 😎
Sammy you & your band is so awesome! I love ❤️ y’all! Hey if you happen to see Whitesnake again tell him I said hi! I watched a video sometime ago & it sounded like he was going thru different time! Hope on your road trip you can do interview someday on him! His song Here I go again I think is so awesome! Y’all are both awesome singers! Love ❤️ y’all! 👏💯🌟❤️👋 KGM 10/05/22 Midnight
...I Can't Drive 55?..the speed they are playing it sounds more like 45...I love this, but I wonder why they slowed the songs down so much?..almost slow motion..I certainly can understand why Sammy would step down the vocals a couple notches at his age, but what does slowing down the whole song accomplish?..again, not knocking these guys, they are great!..just puzzled by all the songs being slowed down so much...
Hmm, I never saw tour dates with them coming to Pine Knob. Does this mean they will also be coming to Pine Knob in August 2023? How do we get updates the next time they come to Pine Knob? On their site it only shows NV, Mexico, SC, FL, CA, AZ, UT, and then Mexico. no east (other than FL) or midwest states.
Is it just me or is Vic's tone & playing style more VanHalen-esque now? I wonder if he didn't do that before Ed's death out of respect? Because he sure sounds like him now.
@@boatech356 it wouldn’t matter if it was December, that’s probably one of the best songs Van Halen has with Hagar….. and they didn’t play Cabo wabo! Why? I don’t know! Someone needs to get their crap together on the set list! Those 2 songs need to be on the list!

Maybe they need the money, I don't know? When you have fantastic memories of your hay day, and being greatly paid for it as well, popular all over the world! Some of these guys miss playing the music 🎶 so much that they're willing to take a Chance on bad reviews!! It's just the love of performing to crowd and being paid for doing what they love to do so much!!!...... Just a few months ago, I heard a newly released remake of an album, (a all-time top 5 band) this album had to represent a blatant message, stay out of the studio, and most definitely off the stage!!! 75 and older, it's just time to officially retire, respectfully, dignity intact!
You obviously don't listen or read what they say. They do it because of the fan's and they love it. Sammy's worth $160.000.000, Mike $60.000.000, Jason $20.000.000.
Time for these guys to call it quits, Sammy needs to kick back and enjoy the rest of his life. He sounds terrible here. Out of Gas a long time ago. Dinosaurs still touring
Sammy Hagar is The Lead Rocker in America Right now
Micheal and Vick Jason WHAT SUPER GROUP
SAMMY HAGAR THE COMPLETE RED ROCK ROCKER

he was all the harmony vocals on the old vh stuff
@@telecasterday and throughout Sammy’s area
@@telecasterday without Michael, VH would of lacked its massive crossover appeal. They probably would not have been as explosive as they were.
I was at this concert ...If and when the circle goes on tour ill be front and center...75 year old Sammy is my inspiration..unbeleivable!!!!!
Damm its awesome to see Sammy ,Michael,Jason, and Vic jamming. Damm
Good for Michael and Sammy to move on down the road thank you
Can I just point out Sammy is 76 years old in this video, STILL KILLING IT!

where is Joe Satriani??????

Too bad they didn’t have summer nights on the set list!

Where having fun, right ? 😎
Stage security chic with the glasses looks really intimidating
Actually she was pretty nice compared to the guard to her left (video right). She got Sammy to sign a couple of hats for us after the concerted.
What is the name of that first song?

How in the hell is Sammy's lead so low in the mix???? Not good.
Their trying harder than they have too come on now.
like sands through the hour glass . all our time runs out. sammy is good at this age but should just go back to cabo and sell tequila
They didn’t play Cabo wabo either! Someone needs to get there crap together!
Really Poor Sound. Sounds Like A 70's Cover Band. Shocked! Elder Bands Make Sure They're The BEST. SAMMY....OLD MAN. BROKE....A
Its recorded on a GoPro you idiot. Its not a FOH desk recording... Shows how fucken good your ear is.
Where are new young bands...these guys should be helping produce ? Instead they still milking the cow..lol
Sammy too good to use EVH heads or something for amps? Psshhhh unreal.
Because MARSHALL is better! EVH are Peavey. 😅
Just like the show, worst Haggar show ive seen, vocsls were hard to hear, George Thorogood was great that night.

I was at that show, sound was terrible on the vocals, seen Sammy many times, worst show of them all.

is the black guy a token ? come on sam.
