Really thank you for the guide. When it comes to Ash of War Carian Sovereignty, if you buff it with the below:
1- Golden Vow
2- Howl of Shabriri
3- Seppuku
4- Terra Magica
5- Magic Tear
6- Tear of charged attacks
7- Ritual Sword Talisman
8- Lord of Blood Exultation talisman
9- Shard of Alexander talisman
10- Godfrey Talisman
I managed to deal 9,000 damage first attack and the follow up around 10,000+.
you can use bloodsucking cracked tear instead, it's better
Whats crazy is with videos like these, I’m typically skipping to what I need to see. But the amount of effort and creativity in your videos make me actually want to sit and watch first then build it. Super engaging and not over the top. Kudos to you just gained a subscriber
Nizar is the only one who can get away with this level of crazy editing. I usually hate it but I love his vids haha
WARNING: if you book it straight past Bonny Village, or approach the shadow castle, you'll set off an ingame event that lurches NPC quests forward. It's an invisible line you cross. So. If you don't intend to do that, don't head straight there.
Can we get to Ymir and the Carian Sovereignity without trigerring that quest progress?
@@adamlantos2319No. you have to progress quest lines to a certain stage before going for this or it will lock you out of some rewards and summons and such

MINOR SPOILERS: It says "A great rune has broken" or something along those lines so just look up what to do before this. It's nothing too major but a PSA in the video would have been nice.

I think a point-blank shot from Impenetrable Thorns is the most damaging sorcery in the game now that comet azure has been nerfed
Yeah , I’m thinking about using the new staff and probably making that my only spell , and use the lizard sword/moonveil
Thorns is better but don't sleep on crystal torrent

For FP regen, you can now craft a Lulling Branch (from cookbook after beating one of the bosses). Pro: it regenerates 150 FP pretty fast.
Con: Slowly builds sleep. Depending on how high your Focus is, it'll probably induce sleep on you. Counter this with either armor that has a high focus rating, or the Clarifying Horn Charm (a +2 version is in the DLC) talisman.

Unfortunately, carian sovereignty got a shadow nerf with the latest calibration patch. You no longer get hyperarmor during the charge with greatswords. It still does insane damage and can poise through small hits

3:24 I have a theory. I think they nerfed the hoarfrost stomp into the ground so hard…(you could even say they “stomped” it into the ground)was because they didn’t want the hoarfrost stomp and the divine beast frost stomp to be identical 🙃

His other build based on night magic is not bad either. Super simple but it works. Ive actually been taking down dlc bosses with just night shard and night comet
I had a Int/Fait build that I brought into the dlc and I say the new death, finger and spiral spells along with that staff that allows you to cast both sorcerer and incant was a fantastic addition

With Vanishing Spell at 6:34 if you move around while using it you pretty much teleport (it is short distance but still). It has some potential.

Wow these AoE spells are exactly what I wanted from a mage build. CC is a must for a squishy mage.

I ran through the entire dlc at level 136 and 3 runes slots as an int build. I probably couldn't have done it if I wasn't a caster. Shard spiral for the MVP.
What spell do you recommend for final boss of the dlc?
@alexanderhauge2636 : There's no easy way around radahn, especially in his second phase. I did it by using comet and shard spiral charging the comet when I had an actual openings. Lhutel the Headless is my go-to summon for this fight. Lhutel will consistently teleport to break agro and then re-engage with range attacks. This can sometimes get Radahn to run across the map to engage the summon, that when you charge the commet to land heavy hits. Lhutel can survive the entire fight provided you share in the agro. There's no cheesing this fight as a caster. Optimize for spell dmg for build. Talismans: blue scorpion charm,Godfrey icon, and Beloved Stardust. Weapon: Lusat's Glintstone staff (80 int is a must). Best of luck, you'll get'em.
@@daniloventura112 thanks for a very nice explanation.😀 I will try my best. Currently I am a fire Knight using the fire Knight grestsword and the game is difficult but still doable. But I must admit. The last soul game I played was sekiro and the boss battles in that game gave me more feelings of Mastering the game. In elden Ring bosses for me at least Comes Down to much luck. However the level Design Story and details are incredibly. Love this game.

Vanishing isn't a troll spell. You can chain cast other spells with it so when you appear, the spell just casts. Its not for defense like bhs. Its for attack. You can increase the casting speed with talismans.

Got those two staves mixed up. The Maternal staff is int/arc. The great beyond staff is int/faith.
Also, if you do decide to go int/arc for the thorns spell, the Maternal staff ends up being the best mainhand staff you can use.

honestly dude your base game late game guide is still wrecking the DLC for me.. I 1 shotted rellana & dancing lion .. beat hippo with ease so far.... I do like the black orb AOE spell in place of the teal artillery bomb move. I'm trying out the defensive finger move in my arensel but so far I feel like the hammer is better. will keep testing

Base sorceries are so strong, they don’t need an upgrade. I was lvl 130 mage and I flew through the dlc.

Carian Sovereignty will probably end up seeing both a damage and poise nerf. I could see the damage of the blast wave on the vertical slash (it has 2 hits, 1 for the initial slash and a second with a wave that knocks things down) being dialed down slightly and I would be surprised if we didn't see a mild reduction to the stance damage on it. 91 stance damage for the two swings is insane.
It’s already been nerfed since release
Too bad the poise is misleading on it. You can only get poise on certain weapons not all. The ash of war is actually garbage if you cant even land a hit with it and you can easily get knocked out of it, so yeah no poise

@@Kemist_tree96 Probably stat spreads or talismans. Even with the most recent patch mine is still hitting for around 5k with insane poise damage
