Carian Sword desperately needs an AoW re-work. It should allow a light/heavy input along with a base (no attack input) version that does three different Carian sword attacks. For example: AoW+Heavy = Carian Grandeur, AoW+Light = Carian Piercerm AoW+no input = Carian Greatsword. And these should be combined with a hidden multiplier that at the very least puts it on par with the generic AoW. I figure re-working this weapon has got to be on their to-do list.
I have watched so many elden ring build videos on youtube that they now get recommended to me constantly and I am completely bored with them. However yours are the only ones I still enjoy watching because of the pure entertainment value and presentation.
I would also recommend Rogier's Rapier as an alternative to the Lordsworns straight sword, you can get it early on after godrick at +8 and it has a fitting great blade phalanx ash of war and aesthetic. Its move set is unique among the thrusting swords having pretty strong heavy attacks and you can swap out the ash of war for the grandeur if you so please. I would still like to see a STR Fist build. I did one with IronBall at the beginning and later switched to StarFist and it was a blast. Now that I finished the CarianKnight playthrough I think I will try a Claw/Bleed build. Claws have been buffed and they look crazy fun.

Awesome. I'm playing this painful toxic game called Hell-den Ring and I have seen many videos to reach the final boss. Your videos is beautiful and full of infos, top content. Thanks.
I tried a Moongrum cosplay once because I really like the melee spellsword abilities, some of them are super useful, like Piercer just knocking down the Leonines and the hammer staggering them. It was hard to stick to it, though, because the Carian Knight Sword has a block on charged heavy, which actually makes it very slightly slower, enough that charged heavies on enemies you knock down are no longer safe, and the block was NEVER useful. Very sad stuff. The versatility of everything else is insanely good, though. It's easy to just go wild with Slicer and dodge when appropriate, but using spell combos with virtual dex and getting creative on an enemy-by-enemy basis is so fun. Really sad Carian Knight Sword is such a huge disadvantage in terms of damage AND versatility since it's easily my favorite looking straight sword in the game.

The Carrian Knight's Sword *is* a somber weapon, so it is much easier to upgrade than any infusable weapon, but yeah I do agree I think it could have used an *actually unique* AoW or maybe something like the AoW of the Dragon Halberd, where it gives the weapon a buff after using it.

If you aren’t comfortable with the low damage absorption of the armour set I used the full hoslow armour set after getting to the mountain tops and if you want to push your endurance a little further you can wear a little bit of the scaled set as long as you remove the shield and dagger form your kit.
Just a quick thought, putting glintblade phalanx on misericorde is great for crit damage, but you get better poise damage from a larger weapon as the extra attack does the same damage as a jumping attack from the weapon equipped, put it on the claymore or similar and watch people fall over instantly. :)
Does that mean that the poise damage of the phalanx AoW depends on the weapon it is used with? I’m wondering how to pull this off still even after the patch…
been playin ER with my dad and it is not the first time i play it, but to him it is so he looked up "strong elden ring build" and got this thanks so much for not getting me stuck with a frenzy flame build. PS:FOR CARIA, AND THE FULL MOON
It’s been a whole year that I’m using “Ray of Caria” a character of mine entirely built as the perfect carian knight for coop. Man, I call him the invader nightmare. Almost never lost a fight with that guy both against bosses or other players. Not cause I’m that good at the game, really I don’t think I am. I suck especially in pvp cause I panic. But the carian knight has generally so many tricks up his sleeves, and it’s so efficient both in ranged and melee combat that you always have a way to overcome any opponent through tactics, strategy/intelligence. Especially if you have the original carian shield with its proper antimage ash of war. That’s unstoppable. Only other build I think could be that strong is the hybrid Strength/Faith/Dex Leyndell Dragonic Knight build, with gransax spear and the Erdtree Shield. (Basically original Godwyn the Golden build) Edit: Just wanna add this just because. I have three different “Ray of Caria” characters, same name slightly different appearance, completely different levels. I used to daily leave my summon sign with all 3 of them in any location related to Caria and the academy of Raya Lucaria. One on his early twenties around level 30, Another mid-twenties around level 75 And the last thirty years old, level 175 If you ever met one of those during this last year, glad I’ve been of any help.
At 27:18 it says he has 12 Dex and 10 strength but I at base (I can see it rn cuz I'm respecing my stats) have 14 dex and 11 strength, i started as a prisoner using his spell blade build so when i saw this video in the description I thought I try it, now I'm just confused lol (great video and content overall)
One thing about the Carian Knight sword that I like is its semi-unique R2 (shared with one other weapon) that blocks attacks during the charge animation. I used a weapon with a similar mechanic in Dark Souls 3, and it can be fun to deflect attacks that way, rather than try to time a parry or use your staff hand for a shield.
I decided to change my old INT build to this. A shame it's from before 1.02 and I didn't know how to get the Magic Scorpion Charm (Selvus sucks) then, so I'm locked out of that +12% until NG+. Oh well. The good news is that it enables me to use the Bull-goat's Talisman, which lets me enjoy some poise with my style. Really good for trading with Carian Grandeur. I look forward to clowning on Margit with this build at full power.

(Basically original Godwyn the Golden build)
Edit: Just wanna add this just because.
I have three different “Ray of Caria” characters, same name slightly different appearance, completely different levels. I used to daily leave my summon sign with all 3 of them in any location related to Caria and the academy of Raya Lucaria.
One on his early twenties around level 30,
Another mid-twenties around level 75
And the last thirty years old, level 175
If you ever met one of those during this last year, glad I’ve been of any help.
At 27:18 it says he has 12 Dex and 10 strength but I at base (I can see it rn cuz I'm respecing my stats) have 14 dex and 11 strength, i started as a prisoner using his spell blade build so when i saw this video in the description I thought I try it, now I'm just confused lol (great video and content overall)
are there any tweaks that I should consider to make in this build after the recent patches?
Yeah, I'm switching to this in anticipation for the DLC (the last "DLC" build I tried switching to was already fucking patched by Fromsoft)
Only 309 less dmg st endgame? The look of the sword is worth. Elden bling for life.
