The FATH (Fundación Argentina de Trasplante Hepático) and DDB Argentina present “The man and the dog”, a story of friendship that seeks to inspire people to become organ donors.
The film "The man and the dog", by DDB Argentina, is an awareness film created by DDB Buenos Aires for the FATH (Fundacion Argentina de Transplante Hepatico), a non-governmental non-profit organization that thanks to the commitment of people and companies has been carrying out its charitable work since 18 years ago.

I actually thought the dog acted as a metaphor for a vital organ. The man died and didn't need his organs anymore so by passing the dog onto the woman he is passing on a vital organ. Something he doesn't need anymore and something that can bring life and happiness to another.

I did not get my permission slip signed for this feels trip.
Didn't get it until the screen went dark and the organ donor message came. Then I just turned into a mess of tears. Made me remember my cat that I had to put to sleep 6 months ago. There's no love as unconditional as the one you have with a beloved pet.
I'm crying...this video is really touching. Dogs are amazing creatures.
+Cristina Casna Sadly millions are killed daily for being unwanted, or used in medical experiments, (which is a poor model anyway). The same can be said for cats.

I did.
I saw this commercial five years or so ago and forwarded around to friends. I was just thinking about it and went to look for it. Just as moving after my umpteenth viewing.
It’s touching on so many levels - as a dog lover and foster mom, but especially because my husband had a heart transplant - 21 years ago. (Still going strong and hiking in the hills! And the best thing of all was he got to become a grandfather and watch his granddaughter grow up and go to college :)
Sign up, donate life. Only a small number of deaths result in usable organs and the need is so great.

Yes, he died and donated his organs. The woman got his liver or heart and the dog recognised the man was inside the woman and the woman obviously recognised the dog. So sad!
My dad showed me and my mom this video on the same day we are celebrating my sister's 25th birthday! Mom and I were both in tears by the end! :'(

That's it. I'm getting a dog when I'm an old woman. Dogs are such genuine animals with lots of love toward their owners. I was crying waterfalls when I had to leave my dog because we were so close and he followed me wherever I went and he was always there when I had a bad day. He will always be in my heart and I love him so so much. And I still remember those eyes. They stared into my sole and that face he made to me when I had to leave was heartbreaking. I love him lots ♡.

Dogs are for life; you don't get a dog unless you're absolutely positive you will care for him for the next 15 or so years because your dog believes you're his family or pack and he trusts that you will keep him forever. If you leave a dog behind, unless you're young and you left him with your parents while you went to college, it means you dumped him and that makes you an animal abuser. Most dogs who get left behind, get put down unless they're very lucky.
My partner showed me this ad recently with the sad music from 'Up' in the background and I crazy cried remembering our departed furbaby Pesky R.I.P 🥰👼
