    Taking out the strength and conditioning category at the awards was astonishing. A fighter without strength and conditioning is like a Ferrari without an engine. Off topic, but what type of intervals do you recommend for the prowler sled for endurance and power?

    • @PhilDaruStrong
      @PhilDaruStrong  5 років тому

      Rick Sweet thank you especially when they tell you come out and leave you sitting there like an idiot but.. I digress anyways I like doing alactic capacity sprints 10 seconds on 20 off for 8-10 rounds another one for aerobic power is prowler marching 4 min on 2 min off for 4-6 rounds total

    Great video as always coach! Love the content you put out! I’m glad your back on instagram as well, missed you over there.
    I have a question, I don’t know if you have a video on it already or if you talk about on one of your podcasts. If you have maybe you could tell me which one. Or even one of your programs.
    Anyway, I’m a fighter (kickboxer mostly) who will now go in to “fighting season” with at least a fight every month (maybe multiple) and a really need some help with how priorities my strength and conditioning. Because I can’t do a 6-8 week camp for every fight.
    Do you work with any amateur fighters who have the same kind of schedule?
    Anyway, thanks for your amazing work!

      I like to keep them in a certain zone parameter but if I don’t have a MHR on them then it’s kinda pointless. So for the most part generally I go off of output and time elapsed along with coordination of its off or sluggish I know we are staring to dip into anaerobic at that point

    • @PhilDaruStrong

      John Smilo auto regulated due to travel and the entire week of overloaded skills training this was simply for restoration and maintenance they compete every 3-5 weeks.. that’s being said all three were the only US athletes to medal at that particular tournament.

    Can you do this with battleropes? Also if you have a client and you are gonna work with him like plyo/sprint or something hard, but the athlete have some sort of feeling/little pain in a joint let say the knees do you still do the work or do you regress it, do a smaller workout?

    • @PhilDaruStrong
      @PhilDaruStrong  5 років тому +1

      Arijate I would check and see first if it needs realignment and then work on traction through the hips and spine with belt squat marching and reverse Hypers after look into strengthening the core with Isometrics
