Coach Phil, you’re the best man. Is there any way you can do more videos on breathing techniques for fighters? I’ve been trying to implement ideas from past videos and I think it can be the biggest game changer… however with a severely deviated septum it can be difficult. I’m sure most your guys have damaged septums as well, so how do you adjust for that? Thank you for everything❤️

I too have a deviated septum and I find the nasal dilator from oxygen advantage helps massively with nasal breathing. Might be worth having a look.
If your nose is damaged to he point of not being able to insert the dilator in there, then standard nasal breathing strips may help too

      @@archieog but you can’t use a dilator while you’re actually boxing/fighting

do approximately intensive cardio with your mouth closed everyday. for the rest of your life

    • @Copelandistic

I feel this so much man, even before I got into MMA any kind of cardio has an added intensity with my ferocious mouth breathing.
Check out hofs breathing for focus and attention to your breath, and the only other thing I can do is get deep into intensity and my nasal passages open up due to what I assume is adrenaline coursing through my veins. It’s my favorite part of runners high.

Thanks for the Daru college video. Your expertise and passion shine through... Over here if someone can't swim or is too big to swim, they throw a massive plastic ring around you so that you don't sink and leave you there till get out time.... (punch out). Peace.

Yo Phil, you might have touched on this, but is it possible to run a good strength camp on top of the endurance camp with enough rest n recovery. Example doing a strength workout hours after mondays zone 2 workout? And say you take away the camp work on Wednesdays and focus solely on skill, is that going to mess up the process?

1 You can know a lot about health fitness conditioning without ever fighting once.
      He's talking about conditioning.
      2 Fought once?
      I doubt it, maybe professionally.
But he's been around I'm sure. He seems pretty tough. Definitely fought before. Don't blame him for not going on with it as you can get fked up doing that for a few years.
Challenge him to a fight please!
      Contact him who are you??
