I bought a brand new Escalera eleven years ago… for my home! Sixty years old and a two story house. It has proven invaluable! Very heavy bookcases, refrigerators, firewood, file cabinets, machine tools, machinery, you-name-it. I couldn’t live without it. Truly one of the best things I ever bought. Not a luxury; a necessity. Brian, the sales manager at Escalera gave me an in-factory lesson on using it to climb stairs, etc. Not a cheap tool for a homeowner… but what’s a trip to the ER cost? Wonderful tool.

I got one of these about 15 to 20 years ago. Plenty of people have asked to borrow it but I always go with them because it would most likely get messed up. It still is perfect and works great too!
Our company recently purchased this hand truck and it is a Back saver! We use to lower heating boilers in and out of homes. I highly recommend this hand truck to anyone especially tradesmen and women.
Did you notice the safe magically moved from the middle of the bed to the tailgate during that last camera cut to show the handle cranking.

Not sure I would want to lower a 1200lb load onto a standard pickup truck tailgate. 1:55 into the video the load is behind the tailgate into the bed and a few seconds later its magically already sitting on the tailgate for easy removable. How much work was involved in the missing steps and video footage getting the load (heaven forbid a heavy 1200lb load) onto the tailgate to make it appear easier t unload. Not very seamless at all.

Why don;t you REMOVE the TAILGATE on the pick-up truck, this way you can place your heavy item in the truck and not on the tailgate?
Would it be best to help your pick-up truck by giving it ground support , plae your heavy item in the center of the truck - then remove the ground supprt...

Pow crap ahhhhhh I'm going to die, right when the first set of tailgate cables break. It happens a lot with safes.
Just remove the tailgate

I move commercial water heaters for a living been doing it over 10yrs and I don't think this unit would last a week in the field

Wow, I can't believe that guy delivered that tall awkward safe without even strapping it down, hell he didn't even slide it all the way to the front of the bed. SMH
