I’ve been considering locs for years now but I’m still scared. A few weeks ago I learned about braid locs and this will definitely be the option for me if I loc my hair. So glad I found out about this method.

Yes people stare at the good and the bad but you it's all good beautiful all over :) I love braid locks at least people can wash them often without worrying over the unraveling. Interlocking is the way to go.

I started my 4c hair with micro sized 2 strand twists then braided it a bit at the end to seal it

I have thick hair like yours & I wear my loose natural hair straightened bc I like hang time & straight-ish versatility & styles. When I had two strand twists as a foundation for locs before, it was beautiful but SO thick. That’s why I combed it out. So your type of foundation and style might be good for me. I like to wear hats and scarves and headbands so perhaps this is ideal.

thick locs are aesthetically pleasing to look at, but that neck tho 👀

Ok I’m back. I’ve set up my foundation for braidlocs 2.5 months ago now. Best choice ever. Now I’m trying to figure out this interlocking situation because I didn’t do so great my first attempt. But here I am again watching your videos for tips. Thanks

I palm rolled for 2 montgs trying to resist interlocks on my mini two strand twist locs and girl...I gave up so back to interlocking. Had to have that come to jesus moment. 😂😂

awesome video! I just started my braidlocs a month ago and plan also to interlock and it looks like mine are roughly the same size as yours. have you had any issues with lint or buildup in your 2 years? do you occasionally clarify or detox your hair? if so, with what? love your peacock blue and gold eyes, so lovely against your locs! :)

so because my ends were curly, I don't think any lint was able to hide or latch on to it. But, I did just find one loc that has a blunt end and I think thats the only loc I have that has a blunt end and it has some lint at the tip of the blunt end. So I'll keep monitoring the rest of my locs and do an update if I find that they are catching lint. As for buildup, I don't think I have any! I do plan on cutting some locs in the middle to see if there's any buildup and then sewing it back.

When you’re installing the braid locs should you use products like gel for parting?
