- It's been 3 years since my last update on my Akubra Adventurer Fedora. Some of you have asked me how it has held up. Join me as I hike along the Blue Ridge mountains in North Carolina for a detailed update on the durability of this hat fit for the Indiana Jones lifestyle.

Still looks great! I own this same one - last year, my wife wanted to wear it at the beach and wore it in the water, got it sopping wet. she gave it to me after she was done. I put it on, shaped it back to it's Indy glory, let it dry while wearing it, and the salt water formed some awesome sweat-stain-looking marks around the ribbon so now it looks like it did in Raiders. And the hat keeps on kicking - 6 years now for me.
Keep up the adventuring!
Thank you. Glad your hat is still holding up!
It’s a great hat. I like Akubra a lot and I own several. Sometimes the weather or the activity is too rough and I don’t want to put my favorite hat through that (it’s a vintage no longer made ‘Down Under’ model with a telescope crown) and that’s when my tough as nails indestructible Filson Tin Packer hat comes out to play. It laughs at rain and thorns and mud and burrs.
If you are looking- it’s a good hat to have in a pinch. It will even fold up. 🤠
I've thought of other hats that would be more appropriate for these kind of adventures, and yes, crushable hats make sense. I've even tried some on, but weirdly it just doesn't feel right. It's stupid, I know because I'm putting an expensive hat through a beating.🤠
Did you change the band on the hat? The color and the band color looks different then the one in the video 3 years ago. What’s up?
@@andyfischetti same hat band. UV exposure from 3 years in the sun will do that to fabric
