Nice to see Big Shield Gardna getting the props he deserves as the best answer to punishing Crossouts.

Kris perovic's anti-meta deck is amazing. It's consistent and powerful and seems well balanced against the meta. Weird to see one of his decks without tribe and serpent, the latter could be considered one of the best cards in the game, but I understand his reasoning. Not sure why gorilla is in the side if he's maining BK and zombyra though

Ikr? I also want agent of creation to be good, hopefully we see more experimentation with light decks.
Btw I think any deck that plays double reinforcements should also have a mystic swordsman somewhere.

JDZ was talking about how mind control is a main deck card and trap dustshoot is sideable 🤷‍♂️

Why is Mind Crush hard nerfed in recent GOAT rulings where you can't look at your opponent's hand to verify? I understand why NoC has the ruling since you can just screenshot the person's deck, but hand knowledge was/is a major upside of Mind Crush and I don't know why that's no longer allowed.

@MadcapYGO Right, but it was ruled that you check hand for verification. Just like, if you played GOAT format historically, you know that you would check an opponent's deck for verification after using NoC. Neither of those cards SAY that, but that was how it was always done back in the in person GOAT days of 2005.
My question is specifically why that is not done anymore. Cheating is, unfortunately, very common in YGO which is why these verification methods were always done. I can understand NoC change because having 100% deck knowledge with a screen shot is overpowered and clearly unintended. Mind Crush tho, I am 100% on the train of being able to check their hand.
Example: You do a hard read on BLS or Sorc because you suspect they have Chaos. They can just say "don't have" and you're expected to move on. Then, 3 turns later, they drop the BLS/Sorc on you. Are you gonna call a judge every single time this happens and verify that they actually drew they card they played in the last 3 turns and didn't simply lie to you? You have NO way of verifying until duel replay at the very end.
TLDR: Mind Crush should absolutely have verification tied to the card itself unless you are in a tourney format where people will check replays and can get you DQ. That cannot happen on DB ladder and good luck getting a judge to come by within 10 mins.
Additionally, not doing hand check is not how GOAT was historically played. If we want to stay true to the format, we should not change how the game was played except for extreme circumstances like NoC. Otherwise, what's to stop other changes in the future?

@MadcapYGO Right, but you realize that that mechanic changes the game right? For example, in real life, when NoC was played, you checked deck. While you couldn't memorize every card, you COULD briefly scan and see if they had BLS and 2 Sorcs still in the deck, meaning no chaos in hand. You could gain hand knowledge easily if you were smart enough with a good enough memory.
The mechanic of not checking deck with NoC and not checking hand with Mind Crush is a major nerf to any deck playing those cards and a major buff to any deck with flips (like Chaos turbo for example). It actually would be a huge nerf to Chaos if Warrior players got to flip through a Chaos player's deck for card info after NoC, far more than Chaos doing the same to them. This is something that the online format changes that, quite honestly, DOES impact win rates imo.
Again, I will reiterate that I think NoC should NOT be allowed to go through the deck online due to screen shots. I will stand by Mind Crush allowing you to check the hand. Hand knowledge is already common with Dustshoot. Why change Mind Crush from how it was historically played in GOAT?
