It's very unsettling to imagine what would have been if you hadn't come to George and Yame's rescue. It's a miracle with their early suffering and a few relocations, that they've become these beautiful, massive, sturdy lions. They are a prime example of the work, care and BIG love you give the animals at the Sanctuary. Salute to KRF!🫡🐾

I watched half of the documentary last night, will watch the other half tonight. To see how happy and healthy they are now compared to the sick, scared little imps they were when they arrived is just a testament to the quality of life you provide for them, the medical care they receive. It just warms my heart and makes me so happy to be a member/pride leader. In our crazy world, facing climate, political , crises, decline of morality and civility, Lion Whisperer TV is a little corner of my world that keeps me from losing all hope. The lions in your sanctuary are the lucky ones, and no doubt they understand that they were rescued. The love they have for you Kevin is very obvious. Today is my birthday, so to watch this was a treat and true gift❤ I've reconnected with my lion spirit that I had as a kid, just reread "Born Free," and when Kev said the name, George Adamson, I couldn't help but cry. Meant to be, and I'm so truly thankful to see these beautiful lions today!

Hierarchy in cats are something else. I had an adult cat that wasn't very big in size but he was the top cat, the leader, everyone respected him. He was the boss until he passed.

Kevin, this was such a fantastic video. I had no idea that George was the boss. I mistakenly thought it was Yame simply because of George’s health issues. Guess I’m never too old to learn. Every time I think about what a horrific start in life they had it breaks my heart. I’m so thankful you decided to take them, because I honestly don’t think they would be alive today. They are living the most wonderful life in your care. You have made such a difference in the lives of so many animals that otherwise would not have survived. I know you are making God very happy by looking out for His beautiful creations. Btw, I’m still unable to upgrade my membership. I can’t figure out what the issue is. I remember a while back when Yame was misbehaving crankypants,( I think from hormonal stuff or something else that was remedied). I knew yesterday George was the leader of the two, because I remembered on one of the enrichment walks not long ago; you Kevin said: that George was a leader not a follower and that gave me a clue. I remembered that yesterday but I thought maybe he said it because he is a lion and lions are leaders. I should have followed my first thought because every detail you say matters. Nice to know the origin of the 2 names of George and Yame. Also that will be my new logo; “ Be like George”. A true meaning behind it. 🙏♥️🦁🦁🇺🇸

Love the video George being the leader was a surprise.. is this a confidence thing between the 2 as you sometimes see in lions in the wild where the smaller is the leader such as Mr T of Mapogo fame who became leader of Makhulu and Pretty boy ater in their years? Keep up the great work ❤
I don’t think these two would have survived. I think Kevin said once they were poorly fed to keep them artificially small. That’s just cruelty. Now George and Yame are well fed, cruelty free and as healthy as they can be.
George and Yame have always been extremely interesting, their story is incredible and a testament to what you all do at the sanctuary. We all watch these nature walks and the interactions with the cats, as observers it's apparent that Kevin is more comfortable around certain cats. We know the leopards have to be handled differently, the hyenas as well, and to seem extent, Kevin's comfort level is different, even among the lions. We see a different sense of comfort from Kevin with certain lions, and George and Yame seem to allow Kevin to be extremely comfortable and a little less "on guard." Yes, he has to always be "on guard" but just like with certain dogs, people are usually a bit more comfortable around certain dogs compared to others. God bless you Kevin, and everyone else involved with your wonderful facility. 🙏👍

Kevin, I've noticed that you go still and quiet when there's a scuffle between any of the lions. Have any of them tried to scuffle with you? I know they consider you part of the pride, but they also scuffle with other members of the pride. If they don't scuffle with you, why not>

George and Yame have always been extremely interesting, their story is incredible and a testament to what you all do at the sanctuary. We all watch these nature walks and the interactions with the cats, as observers it's apparent that Kevin is more comfortable around certain cats. We know the leopards have to be handled differently, the hyenas as well, and to seem extent, Kevin's comfort level is different, even among the lions. We see a different sense of comfort from Kevin with certain lions, and George and Yame seem to allow Kevin to be extremely comfortable and a little less "on guard." Yes, he has to always be "on guard" but just like with certain dogs, people are usually a bit more comfortable around certain dogs compared to others. Kevin, I've noticed that you go still and quiet when there's a scuffle between any of the lions. Have any of them tried to scuffle with you? I know they consider you part of the pride, but they also scuffle with other members of the pride. If they don't scuffle with you, why not>
