@@kingpickle3712 no man I was using half a fuckin bag of charcoal with a chimney. Actually bought a smoker since posting this comment. Getting pretty skilled on that thing
It's ok just doesn't stay hot .and I threw a shit load of charcoal in it. That or I'm doing something wrong. Oh I'm just learning how to bbq by the way
Is it possible to cook chicken(direct heat then indirect). I tried doing that today and the chicken did not cook all the way done after i seared and moved to indirect heat
I know what u mean by it not staying hot enough. I tried indirect cooking for chicken and it wouldn't fully cook it and cooled down fast. I think im just gonna do direct heat on this from now on. Maybe i shouldve preheated it longer...
I had the same problem the lump charcoal wasn't getting hot so cooking my chicken took a while..but I noticed after the fact when I opened the front vents of the grill I had a perfectly hot grill to cook on ..wish I would've known that sooner
You should get a charcoal chimney to light the charcoal.
Could never get mine hot enough. Hamburgers would take 2 hours
You can cook burgers over an open flame campfire so how could you not get it hot enough? Only using 2 briquets?

Am I the only one who sees fire Michael Jackson in the thumbnail?
I hate that we can't close those vent holes in the back..
I hope you answer I was thinking that’s a manufactured defect like they punched the holes on both sides by mistake .
You can order a vent to go on the back from meco website
Yep waiting a little longer before adding the burgers coulda made it a bit hotter at the start
I got the same grill but blue . I waited 30 minutes before adding meat on and it still didn't get super how like I want it m

It stayed hot enough for us , but it needs just enough charcoal, we used it a few times with good results.

I didn't cook chicken, I have to try that. I Usually cook my chicken a little before I barbeque on any grill, because it takes longer .

What’s up with the holes in the front and the back but only the vent regulator on the front is that a manufacturing defect ????
