    I have the same grill, it works well. The biggest drawback is that you can’t cook anything tall on it like a beercan chicken as you won’t be able to close the lid. Two suggestions for you. First, get a chimney starter to get your charcoal lit and stop using lighter fluid. Your food will taste better. Second, you should have all your charcoal on one half of the grill and the other half empty. That way you can move your food on and off the heat as you get any flare ups, or you can keep your food on the cool zone for a “low and slow” cook. Also, if you soak your wooden skewers in water for about 20 minutes beforehand, you’ll be able to grill your food longer without burning up the skewers.

    Thanks for the video ….I just bought this grill for a little “throw-down” little grill and wanted to see a demo on it . I do have a big pit smoker with fire box etc, and a pit barrel smoker , and a flat iron grill etc. I chose this to burn up some fajitas quickly with out starting the big one up …..and didnt wanna smoke fajitas…. But for a quick shrimp grilling or fajita this is perfect for me thanks for the quick demo

    Man Brother them pork chops look good! Myself personally, I would stay away from that lighter fluid though. Just get you a charcoal chimney and some tumbleweed fire starters. Works a heck of a lot better, and no chemicals. Great job buddy.

    Do they sell replacement grates that have narrower gaps in between the bars? I tried flipping a burger once an it slipped through the bars

    • @ISLANDREACTION
      @ISLANDREACTION  3 роки тому +1

      LOL I’m not aware of smaller gap spacing grates but I’m very aware of losing stuff, burgers , shrimp, fish, vegetables and my eye glasses! You may try using some foil for non sturdy food items and the angle of the grate to correctly match the spatula scooping angle as to not destroy the burger and important point also is to use some nonstick spray or brush some cooking oil on the grate prior to placing your item. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! Cameron
