Renzo is so good that he treats brown belts like white belts. Gives them position, lets them escape, all the while cracking jokes and having fun. Insane.
@@alexandrealves2877 yes, I have heard that a vast majority of Gracie students are really bad in some schools, and I am not talking about colored belts. Like they promote them too quickly for the wrong reasons.
Renzo is probably the coolest Gracie ever. No gigantic ego, no menacing attitude, just a laid back, but deadly guy who doesnt take himself too seriously. 👍
tenshunn dude that 4 year old kid submitted Renzo... I like renzo but I honestly think this kid is the next big thing. If he can tap out renzo at age 4 imagine at age 20.......
Renzo is what it's all about. You can just see how proud he is of his students. Gives them the right openings and rewards good decision making during rolling. Not hard to see why he's turned out some of the best Black Belts in the world in No-Gi and MMA.
Renzo is a great guy and even better fighter. I trained at his main academy in NYC for two years. This video makes it look like he teaches the classes, but he doesn't. I've never seen him roll with one student in the academy, which is fine, he had like 5 of his legit black belt cousins teaching. He would drop by and see how things were, but you don't get to roll with Renzo, unfortunately.
I do t care what people say all these Gracie’s are class acts in my book. They’ve had a lot to prove and they did. I’m almost 60 and wished I practiced jujitsu when I was younger , but I’m going to start learning and have this for my last push in life.
Perhaps by pushing and being harsh a teacher might make some students better competitors (or not), but by being how Renzo is here, a master makes all their students LOVE Jiu Jitsu. That's a real master.
that's great jiujitsu renzo Gracie and a great teacher and super funny.. had the privilege to meet him a couple of times and his brothers and nephews there all great people.. mad respect for all Gracie family oss
@@blake3one6 my old instructor in Dallas was Carlos Machado. I swept him once. he just goes "i forgot about that one" and then smashed my soul out my butthole in slow motion for 6 minutes.
He's on another level. Passing the gard at the end like that and tapping a brown belt like that within 5 seconds is just amazing. He is a genius artist.
Who wouldn't want to train with Renzo. He's fantastic. Wish I could have a teacher like him. He makes it so much fun by being so effortlessly brilliant and having fun.
What a beautiful video the most beautiful part is seeing those children sitting in a circle watching!! 👊🏼👊🏼 I believe every child should train in the arts!
So damn cute. Children are such a great blessing. I just really love the amazing job the Brazilian Jujutsu teachers have done with making children and women so happy and comfortable training in the art.
Oss!
Great escapes and transitions. I think he was gonna try to arm bar from S mount towards the end. But that bullfighting stack and pass was beautiful. Really awesome roll to watch.
When I trained with Relson he would start counting down from 10 and you knew he was going to tap you at 0 but you were powerless to stop it. It was a humbling experience to say the least
It's a learning experience... Did you hear renzo mention the escapes he taught and the way the brown got out of the triangle? It's about acquiring knowledge, not dick measuring.

Several years ago Charles Gracie got promoted to a Red Belt and it was like a who's who of Gracie's that showed up. Renzo, Rickson, Ralph, Clark, Rigan and Jean Jacques, as well as I think two of the first generation guys (Helio and Carlos' brothers). Maybe the only big name that couldn't make it was Royce. It was kind of surreal. Renzo is exactly like he appears in this video, kind, playful, funny, seemingly no ego.
