Alias 0 proving here that wheat is for noobs, especially as he was dealing with the 9 wood being blocked for half the game. I think you played a great game, one thing is I think you would have won if you were not so greedy with trying to trade with orange. Not getting the settlement on the 4 wheat caused a chain of events where orange went for that settlement instead of connecting the longest road ( he would have been at 8 without that extra settlement so it's not that bad), then you have an extra settlement and just need a city to win rather than 2 vps
"No Wheat = Clean Sheet" I certainly agree with you Aaron. I realized it during the commentary as well how many chances I missed to build on the 4. Especially with the late game in the back of my thoughts, it was a pretty painful conclusion.
Great game! Red played very well. During the placements I thought he made a big mistake by taking the 9/10/2 as his second pick instead of the 8/4/3. But the result proved me wrong apparently.
Hmmmm, I think 3/4/8 vs 3/4/8 is a closs call. 🤔 While the bottom one gives you a better OWS ballance with the 3 ore, the upper one has a 2nd wheat spot and a 3:1 port to offer. 🤓 I think you made the right choice. 😊👍 There were defintly some mistakes during Placements. 😅
9/12 is a slightly better defensive placement than 6/3, because it takes the sheep port away from the player with the 6/9/5. I played with him during the tournament before and he really impressed me during that game. I don't think it's completely unreasonable, but I wouldn't place there.
@@Treeckosaurus Interesting. Do you know if red played him before as well? Because maybe a reason why red went for the 2/9/10 was to get on wood brick and exploit the open space left by green?
Treek, I noticed nobody mentioned anything about Orange plowing down in between red’s disconnected roads, rather than connecting his own right away. Do you think this could be a valid play?
@@Treeckosaurus Totally agree!! he has an amazing mind for the game, one of my favourite players... not trying to be overly critical but there are points in the video where you can't make out what he is saying because of the mic.....

Thank you for your really kind words DyLighted! I truly appreciate it
agreed😂
I really appreciated the tasteful editing. Specifically the placement timers and circling of spots on the board you were referencing. Fantastic video!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)

I thought so as well. I think his ability to trade was really good. I still wouldn't advise taking the 9/10/2 in that situation.
Nice, fast paced editing! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
quality of production AMAZES me!! ♥
Wow, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I thought the 6 3 3:1 port for green 2nd settle looked appealing. Even pointing the road upwards to put some pressure on red
Great video, nice effects and production, smart players, all around good stuff!
Thanks man! I appreciate it :)
Great game and great content man, keep it up!
Thanks Santiago!

Agreed! Thanks for your thoughts, Starshine :)
Red got crazy lucky with all of those 2s.
How did green get to the finals and then build on the 9/12??? Even if you really wanted to go for the OWS the 6/3 is better right?

Could be. Maybe he also wanted to compete for road, instead of army, because I'd have a lock on that

I can be. In this game I don't think it's effective, because Red has two paths around the 9 wood to connect his roads.
Very good video Treeck! Keep it up!
Thank you Mathieu!
Do you agree with my settlement placements? Mainly my second placement decision on the 8/4/3
this platform still laggin and freezin?
I haven't experienced those problems recently
Groundhog's mic seems to be always terrible!!!!!
