What an intense game. I think porting 3 rare ore for a wheat at 10:16 to buy a single devcard was a critical mistake of EmeraldAngel. Using that ore for a city would probably have won her the game.
That would be very risky. The only viable expansion spots would be the 12/6 and maybe the 2/6 (but with big risk of getting plowed by the player on 9/3/6 with a free road). You would not have access to a port, as the 5/2 would certainly be contested by the road player on the 8/10/5. No ports and big risk of getting plowed is a big no-go for pure OWS in my opinion.

The fact that the game still came to a 10-9-9-8 is impressive, everyone handled the time pressure really well!
Agreed 🙂
I love this format! Hopefully I I can try this out soon too 😃
I enjoyed the game a lot. Totally recommend it.
So much production with all these cities. That looked like fun
For sure!
Great editing, nice animations!
Thank you!
that's how we love to play 😉

I agree with you that porting ore is usually not a good idea within Settlers of Catan
I had placed 2nd settlement at the 10-9-2 and play ore wheat sheep.
You said in one of your videos that you have to pick a strategy 😛
It's a possibility to win with. I do think you'd want some more production. I think I would have done 8/5/10, but 8/4/10 isn't bad either.
