Saved the ball! great job and even though it was an adult doing the followup it could have so easily been a child. THAT is a great job. As to the yard work, my mother (aged 85) had a guy come out and mow her ACRES (mow along the driveway and house area, and bushog twice a year for the passed 20 years..... he passed away this year. She cried and cried. He didnt just mow her acres, he came in for icetea, chatted with her, called her from time to time to see if she needed anything done. He once came over to start mowing and found her on a chair trying to rehang a picture on the wall... he got her down and hung it himself. People who are genuine in their work are worth their weight in gold. Thank you for helping these folks. I know how important your job is to them

I don’t care what peoples political views are as long as they don’t abuse me for mine. I don’t ask theirs or give mine anyway.

Just got out of hospital. I wAs polite and nice to everyone. They were somewhat taken aback and would come check on me most of the time to see if I needed anything without me calling them. I had back surgery and was hurting and they knew it and since I treated them right they made my stay as comfortable as they could. It’s a long story but I have met a lot of doctors and nurses. I couldn’t do it, myself. But I’m the one that helps patch up the wounded at gatherings. Not everyone can. I seen a guy run away from his girlfriend who was bleeding. I made him give me a medical kit to clean her up.

Short background story: As a child I was raised to just go to school, study and get a good job. My Dad did all the mowing. My parents meant well. As a grown-up, I enjoy working on my yard, but the Texas heat is scorching so I have to be wll hydrated. I recently edged my front lawn and used a shovel. This is the first time I used an edger and a weed wacker. I enjoy your UA-cam videos because I learned a lot from you. You are blessed to be a blessing by using your gift to share with others. Yeah I think about that every time I see him having to stop and move stuff out of the way. Usually we don’t get to see the owners of the house, so In my head I imagine they are elderly or working a crazy schedule and just didn’t get to it. But this time we saw a relatively young guy and kid walk up to the house and go in …surely they could have made sure things were out of his way. Then again, maybe they were visitors and not the home owners. Who knows? We never know what others are going through.
99.99% of the time I make sure there is nothing in the way of the guy who takes care of our lawn the night before he comes. But I know sometimes branches fall after I check the yard, or one of the dogs knocks over a chair after I check the yard and I miss it. I try my best to help out the folks who help me out.

If you are a homeowner, the yard goes with it and you are expected to take care of it. Seems the homeowner did the minimum he had to do to his yard. I guess that’s why you hire a professional once in awhile, to take care of the parts of the law care that you don’t want to, or can’t do yourself. I know the homeowners wasn’t charged for this yard work, but in my opinion, for whatever it is worth, he should have been.

Kevin: this is called smilax vine, it grows from seed produced after blooming and makin berries, birds love it, however once it germinates it begins to form a large bulb underground that begins to multiply, it has vicious thorns and cutting it off does not get rid of it. You have to dig it up and its a real chore to get out of the ground since it can get really large. I dug one out of my back yard that fit into a 3 gallon bucket. They love azaleas, privet hedge and box wood roots. Sorry you have to tend to it. My state agriculture dept. said do not try to poison the roots it will not work like wisteria and ivy vines , the difference in these plants is the bulb not
    roots.

I have tried to hire someone to come and do my patio, on my third try now... they give me their cards but never answer the phone, messages or emails. My daughter contacted a company to cut a tree branch and they came to do an appraisal...never heard from them again. I'm incapacitated and is hard for me to do the lawn, I have to do it by sections with 3 days of rest in between. Sometimes my neighbor sees me and comes and help but I don't want to bother no one. My daughter says to get someone and she'll pay for it but no one comes, now she wants me to sell the house and go to an apartment but I don't want to.
