I thought I would add a public comment to assist the next person. I clean my icemaker religiously every time the light comes on. It is just my wife and I, we do not run the max ice light. The ice machine is about six years old and is cleaned about every 4 months. It is our second machine in twenty years. Removing the filter is the only problem we have encountered and only with the Made in China replacement Filter Cartridge. I am suspecting it is because I recently bought a "Waten" replacement cartridge instead of the one made for this icemaker. Waten is made in china (P6RFWG2K) and sold as a replacement cartridge for the F2WC911 ICE2. Filters are expensive but the Ice maker is real expensive. I am going to order the F2WC911 ICE 2.

Great video! Our icemaker is only making very very thin ice. It used to make thick ice. I replaced the filter. I’ve cleaned the machine - twice. I’ve reset the machine. It is producing ice which is very thin ice. Any suggestions?

Question, we just bought this model used. I cleaned it all up. Seems that it uses a LOT of water. I can explain what I see here in the cycle. It starts filling the pan thru the big hose on the left. Then water comes from the top thru the small tube that snaps to the pump cover. That then makes the water overflow thru the overflow hole. Then the water appears to just get dumped by the lower pump via the solid white s shaped hose. I am thinking that a)maybe fill valve sending too much water 2) maybe the recirculating pump not operating. Please advise, for will each cycle of ice I probably have 2-3 gallons of unused water.

We are unable to remove the filter. We turn it clockwise to where it stops but the filter will not come out. Wondering if we need to turn the dial further. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you.

Had the same problem. Suggest you use the key that came with the new filter. Or a pair of rubber pliers.

@@FB-111A Thank you. We were successful in getting it out with the assistance of a very STRONG friend who even had difficulty removing it. Having installed the new one I remove & replace the same filter every few weeks just to keep it from sticking but even then it is not an easy task removing it. Poor design?

@@RealityCheck1965 I am cleaning my Icemaker after 4 months because the clean and replace filter lights are on. Unfortunally I am not able to remove the filter. I have tried channel locks etc. I am pulling and twisting. In addition the machine will not operate. I am assuming It is because the machine is sensing a filter problem. You are right poor design and the filters are expensive. I probably did not need to replace. I am really frustrated.

@@FB-111A I know if you hold the on/off and the clean button it will reset the machine. Maybe it will bypass your filter needs changing message

I'm trying to find out how you troubleshoot the damn thing. I paid 140 dollars for a technician to come out and he laid on the floor and said it was fine then left. It consistently has about 1-2 cups of very watery ice and that's it. It seems to run constantly and the very little ice it does produce is paper thin and melts almost immediately when in a drink.

I just realized the top panel slides forward on ours. It’s created a gap. We went from ice to ice water pretty quick. See if your flush from the side. The magnet on the door pulled the top panel forward a little every time we opened the door. It is a “wet” ice machine. Because of the way it turns over it creates a very clean taste but it doesn’t last long.

Did you ever find a solution. All my pumps are running and diagnostics show that everything is good but I get the same kind of ice that you suggest.

@@pickleballcannon166 I realize that the door was not sealing right. The top panel was sliding forward each time we opened the door. I also cleaned all of the calcification off the grid. It’s working like new. Does the magnet make solid contact? If so, put a light inside and turn off the lights. Do you see light?

@1savd Soul ya...I noticed that a few months back. the latch was loose/broken. I actually taped a small magnet to the sensor so it should even run with the door open. light goes off when magnet is there. seems like it starts making next set office but short cycles and starts heating before ice is thick enough....temp probe?

@@pickleballcannon166 I think the top, meaning the entire top of your ice maker has come forward. It’s crazy! See if you can move the top back and forth. It needs to be pulled from under the cabinet.
