Hi Gayle! I haven’t watch your videos in any kind of order so it is great fun to see how you have grown in your craft. For example, instead of an old magazine or acrylic block for writing over lumpy bumps you now are making the writing boards. Brilliant! Thanks for inspiring and keeping it real. 😊
Gayle, I so much enjoy your videos. Your voice has a lovely song to it and it feels like you are sitting with me and we are chatting. I think its wonderful that you use a journal not just make them. I would like to see more of how you make little things that go into the journals. Thats the hard part for me. I sit in my craft room with all these little bits of this and that and and have not a clue of what to do with it!! You make it seem so easy!!
Laurie, thank you for your kind words! I'm hoping to do more tutorials and craft with me videos, so maybe they will have some good ideas for you. Thanks so much for watching, Laurie, and taking the time to comment! It means so much to me! Sending hugs! ❤️
Very helpful and interesting video to get me indoctrinated into a lovely life. I just had to pause it and have a good cry because my dear Mom was such... such... such a fan of Shirley Temple. She would have just loved a Shirley Temple journal from you or me!!! If I think my heart can take it, I will search to see if you did one. Oh, I miss her so... I had not done much journaling or paper craft until her last few years but she loved the beginnings of it... Hugs...
Wow! I’m watching videos I missed in the past. You made this video in March of 2018 and your talking about almost having 4000 subbies. You now have over 25,000 subbies a little over a year later. That’s incredible! So happy for you and your growing channel
This is so fun watching you set up this journal. I love the idea of a plain journal with ephemera to decorate it yourself. I'm watching this while I coffee-dye paper, just before bed - so good!
This came along at the perfect time! I'm making a wine travel journal for a friend and one for me as we visit wineries this spring/summer/fall. The wine art and pages are rare to find; I did find a 6x3.5 planner with a wine theme, so now I can put other pages with it and p\personalize it to each of us! Thanks for all your ideas! Love your videos.
Gayle as you were looking at your happy mail, the quilted peices caught my eye and I remembered that I have a quilt top that is vintage. I was told that my mother made it by the person who gifted it to me, but my oldest sister doesn't think it looks like our mothers work. It has some places that are coming apart. I thought that it might make really good fabric flips. I'll have to get it out and have a look see. A friend of mine bought a Shirley Temple paperclip book one time when we were out together. She said that I could print copies of it for my great granddaughter. I had no printer at the time, but now my granddaughter just bought a new cannon printer scanner that we can use to make those copies. I need to ask my friend if I can borrow the book t make the copies as soon as this virus scare is over and my county is open again
I love your Craft with me videos. They are a lot of fun to watch. I'm sorry I don't leave more comments but I usually watch on my TV while I am crafting and there is no way to leave a comment. I love the way your journal is coming a long hope to see more of it. Thanks for sharing.
This popped up on my feed this morning and, oh it was fun! I love Diane, first of all, and it's neat to see you two have such a fun relationship, and you've inspired me to make a "Journal journal," when I can get back to the craft room. (I'm on a "health-induced-ban," from the craft room for a bit. Hopefully over soon!)
Oh Cindy, hoping for a quick healing for you! I feel like the craft room is my lifeline...at least it helps my mental health. Haha! I've used this little journal like crazy! I love it for keeping track of all things journal related! Thanks for watching, my dear! Take good care! Healing hugs! ❤️
Hello Gayle, so all of this subscriber and comments is brand new to me! But I watch a lot of your videos, and I am always inspired. I usually make cards but I am venturing into journals. I look forwarding to seeing more, lots of happiness, and fun. Sincerely Christy
I love watching your start to finish process videos. The custom order you just did where she let you decide was awesome. It is fun to watch your gears operate! TFS❤️
This was so fun to watch! I love seeing your thought process behind how you put everything together. Lots of great ideas!! Thanks for taking the time to show us how you did this!! Hugs n smooches 💖💖😙😙 Alia
Thanks for such a fun video, Gayle! I was crafting along, too - as always, trying to catch up in my fauxbonichi! And I had to keep stopping to check out what you were doing to that fabulous little journal; lucky you, to have one of Diane's creations!
Hi Gayle, I’m a recent new “subby” to your channel and new to the junk journal/memory journal craze. I lost my husband almost a year ago, and throughout our time together I have collected so many things from our trips, adventures, and just daily living scattered or should I say “stashed here and there”, but not in a place where I can see them. I want to make a memorial type journal and incorporate all of the things I’ve collected through our almost 16 years together. And I’m helping my granddaughter make a memorial journal for herself with her time with her papa and/or both of us. I saw on your journal ideas list that you wrote vintage love letters....one of the books that I stumbled on at a Goodwill store titled “Love Letters” has reproduced love letters from different people in history. I’ve already pulled everything out of the book and pretty much gutted it, but I would love to send you some of the things that were in that book for you to include in your love letter journal. And I also glanced at the States you’ve listed for selling to.....I did not see Washington state......am I correct? Or since this video aired have you sold to someone in Washington? I love watching your videos and learning how different things are done. Something that my husband taught me during our brief time together is to live every day to the fullest! If you want to go somewhere, go.....if you want to do something, do it......don’t wait for the “right” time.....I’m so glad that he and I were able to do so much, I have so many amazing memories.....now it’s time to get those memories in one place so I won’t forget them as time goes by. Dave was 58 when he passed and I was 52. I think I’ve got a couple more years before he and I will be reunited, so I don’t want to forget things as those days, months, years go by......all I have are memories to get me through the rest of my days......Love your husband and your family just a little more every day!
Oh Robin, thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I so appreciate hearing your story. My deepest condolences on the loss of your husband. It sounds like you two had wonderful adventures and a great love story. So special to capture those memories for yourself and for your granddaughter as well. Thank so much for sharing! I appreciate your though of sharing with me. You can always contact me on Facebook messenger or email at gayle.agostinelli@gmail.com. Take good care of yourself and keep on crafting! It's the most therapeutic thing I've ever found! Big hugs! ❤️
A year after you made this. You were saying 4K subscriber mark was near and as I watch it you are close to 20k. I save so many of your videos for ideas. You are so inspiring and love your talking things out as you work.
This is great, you fitted bits and pieces to fit perfectly...and thanks for your shared ideas of keeping things written down for organization and memory. I would love to start an ETSY store but fear keeps me from doing ut. Maybe I'll work on that fear....lol
How fun, Gayle! I really enjoyed seeing you enjoy this journal! The time flew by. In my "journal journal", I have a section where I also write down embellishment-type things I want to make for my stash. Like types of pockets, envelopes, die-cuts, stamped embellishments, etc. Thanks for letting me watch you play in your new journal. Hugs!
Hi Diane! I'm tickled that you watched! I love my new little journal journal! Great idea on the list of things to try! I have a journal of examples, but sometimes I don't get then made right away, so writing them in the journal would be a great idea! Thanks for giving me such a fun journal to work in! Hugs my pal! ❤️
Gayle this popped into my feed today and i was needing inspiration as i wanted to make a journal for me .... in isolation its April 2020 in Sydney Australia
Thank you so much for sharing how you put together your new Journal Journal, I would love to have a blank journal and ephemera to work on, I never use the journals that I make either, ha ha ... I buy them from others, or swap. Truly loved this video.
Thanks, Charlean! We are soul mates in the ...we make it, then sell it, then buy someone else's...club! Haha! I'm blessed to have one of your gorgeous creations! ❤️
This video popped up ,so I decided to watch it,only a year ago, different angle,I think you even have a different voice😂ha ha and the pen just cracked me up,well done for all you do Gayle xxLizzie
Great fun prepping your journal! I crafted right along with you. I printed on those light brown napkins that you get at McDonald's. Wasn't sure if it would work, but it did and it gives the pics a vintage appearance. TFS, Gayle!
Oh my gosh I had no idea Diane was making/selling Wizard of Oz books??? Oh wow that is my fav movie in the world....I have an entire spare bedroom full of Wiz of Oz things. I have so many collectibles from the movie......oh I cannot wait to see it 😍😍😍 I love your Happy Mail from Lena.....It was just as we were crafting along side each other 😉 I am excited for you and your channel, you are rockin it 👍 Enjoyed your video as always. Crafty hugs and Blessings from AZ.😘🌞🌴🌵🌺
I love your idea of a journal about journals Gayle. Diane's journal is lovely and the ephemera pack she sent is the best! I recently ordered some of those guest checks from her. I was surprised at how thick they were; very nice. I loved those little Old Maid cards. I have a niece that thinks all things like those T Holtz relatives are creepy. She cannot stand old houses. Product of too many horror films me thinks. lol I have no doubt you will have more sales than you can handle so be sure to leave room in that section for lots of room to write. I have been working on my Lady and the Tramp book Gayle. I was terrified! (ha) Thank you for the time you take to teach and share your talents.
Oh my gosh, Donna, I'm so excited to hear you are working on your Lady and the Tramp! I hope you'll send me some pics when it's done! Thanks so much for taking time to watch, my friend! ❤️
Hi sweet Gayle 🖐🏻👋🏻omg!! I enjoyed this so much!! It was so much fun to watch you decorate your journal from Diane.. Everyone loves your journals so to see you have some much fun and happiness with this journal that someone else made was awesome!! I loved to hear your journals are in 38 states and 7 countries!!!! Congrats 🎉🎉🎉TFS🌷🌻🌸💕😊🐚gracie
watching today-i am 84 years old and i was given a shirley temple dolls when i was 6 months old. i wish i still had it. it burn in my parents storage garage.
Love that ledger paper and the old maid cards! So fun! Where can you get those ledger pages? Diane did a wonderful job putting that journal together. Love it! Going to the craft room! Thanks for the inspiration. Fyi: Tim Holtz folks are still creepy! Lol...
Creative Expressions I just kind of looked at how many pages I wanted for each section and decided that way. One could also space them evenly through the book, counting the pages in between. TFW! ❤️
TFS sweet Gayle!!!! So much fun watching you create and having fun !!! When your husband retires please let him know we still need our Gayle time too. !!!!!!!! I ordered some stamps online from Hobby Lobby last night, I can't seem to find the sponge tool you use for distressing your edges. Does it have a name??? Thank you,♥️♥️♥️🌹
Hmm, Linda, I'm not sure the name of the tool...blending tool maybe? It's usually by the Tim Holtz and Ranger stuff in any craft store. It comes in a package with the tool and some extra sponges. They also sell replacement sponges separately. Sheesh, I wish I could come up with name for you! Thank so much for watching, my dear! ❤️
Hi Gayle! I got a set of dies from ali express that makes the different size tabs that I want to make some and send you. So may I do that. Theres some tiny ones.
Hi Helen! I think maybe you're talking about the two little packets of ephemera that Diane sent along with the journal?? If so, they came from Diane H. I didn't make them. Thanks so much for watching, my dear! ❤️
Hey, Helen! I just watched through and heard myself talk about ephemera packs....I was referring to the Hobby Lobby cases that hold all my bits and pieces I've collected. So glad to know what I was talking about! Haha! Thank dear! ❤️
Your so close to 4000 subscribers. That's a major achievement. Just in case I miss the giveaway if you do one and you ask what people want to see, I would love to see more tips and tricks of you sewing it's the machine and different tips and tricks you have learned along the way. I haven't jumped off that bridge yet and I want to but I keep making it harder than it really is. Does that make sense? Lol. Anyway, maybe show us easy ways to do it, which sewing pattern is easiest or harder, any thread that is easier or harder, sewing paper on paper, sewing fabric on paper, sewing through something you have glued. What kind of glue to us and not to use when you are planning to sew. Ect. Lol. I love your videos and all you teach us. I started paper crafting just wanting to make some fun tags and pretty thank you's I could include with my soap orders. Now I'm making journals and soap. As you can imagine, I still have some learning to do... Hope that gives you an idea. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jamie! Thank you so much for the great ideas on a beginning sewing tutorial. What a great idea! I'm excited to do it! I hope you'll see the giveaway video and leave a comment there, so you'll be entered! You can leave a comment that just says...remember my sewing idea! Thanks for watching and your kind words along with a super idea! ❤️
Ok, talking about the little tim holtz people, some of them are cute yes, but some of them remind me of that movie where he says "redrum" I can't remember what it's called, but yeah, creepy lol.
WOW....so in Mar of 2018 you hit 4K subs? And by the end of the year, you're at 14K. :-O Great job. You're addicted to watch and more addicting to listen to. Your voice is therapeutic, not in a creepy way though. LOL. Hope that makes sense.
Paula, haha! Glad it’s not creepy!! Yes, it amazes me! I’m so grateful. I’ve met such incredibly kind and supportive people through You Tube! Thank you so much for watching and for reminding me how blessed I am! Hugs to you! ❤️
Hi Moira! Thanks for reminding me that it was Paula! I'll be sure to mention her on the giveaway. Yes! Doing a cinch journal was on my list, so I'll try and get it done soon! Hugs to you, my sweet Moira! Love ya, pal! ❤️

Haha! Thank dear! ❤️
Thanks, Gayle! I will look for it. Great video!
TIP - If you measure your washi sticky side up you can hold it on your fingers while you cut without it snapping up and curling all over. :)
RhomanysRealm great tip! Thank you!
Ha ha am I the only one that has been hearing happy meal and not mail? Now it makes more sense now. 😀. Oh my goodness.
Loved watching this, as I'm still new to doing journals I love to see how they come together.
Hi Gayle. Got a question. How do I find your Etsy shop? Probably a dumb question!
Barb, never a dumb question! www.etsy.com/shop/CinnamonT ❤️
Ok, talking about the little tim holtz people, some of them are cute yes, but some of them remind me of that movie where he says "redrum" I can't remember what it's called, but yeah, creepy lol.
I would like a tutorial on hanging charms from journals
Thanks Marie! I'll put it on my list! ❤️
WOW....so in Mar of 2018 you hit 4K subs? And by the end of the year, you're at 14K. :-O Great job. You're addicted to watch and more addicting to listen to. Your voice is therapeutic, not in a creepy way though. LOL. Hope that makes sense.
