I was "crying in my beer" so to speak about not having double-sided paper and then I turned this on. You are a wonderful idea person! Thank you 😊

This journal is going to be fantastic. Thank you so much for all of the ideas and featuring the different paper designers.
I started making journals probably early in 2019 and I love it.
I think that Traci Fox was my first. She had the journal with all of the templates. I wanted more freedom with mine and looked further and saw the tiny junk journals and I was hooked. I absolutely love all of the UA-cam channels on these.
I was gifted a used fish tackle box. All I had to do was wash it out. It wasnt really dirty, but I scrubbed it down and made it into a bead storage box. It would be good for storing crafting supplies. So if you can't find one in the craft section look at the fishing gear too

I love your faux front envelopes! Good to see you doing them again. I know the feeling of not wanting to run out of something and hoarding it, but I keep reminding myself that there will always be something new to me that I'll find and by letting go of the old, I'll have room for the new.

That yellow butterfly is a Yellow Swallowtail ... A monarch is orange and black. Our ski area here in CO is named Monarch ...they used to be pervasive here but populations have tanked from the loss of wild Milk Plants where they lay their eggs and create the catapilliars. TMI ... but I have friends who raise Monarchs to help the population thrice better. Thanks Gayle for listening! Lol

Hi Gayle, working on my second journal! Inspired by your boho series to try one for my teenage granddaughter. I don’t have access to the gorgeous jewel toned sari fabrics but your suggestion of beads and sequins is working out well. Yes, you are right...I am hooked! 😃❤️

You're so right Gayle. I made my first journal a few months ago and I'm totally obsessed. I've made a few small ones now and even made myself a glue book to slap stuff into when I have just a few minutes to craft...lol. I have your faux front envelope on my list of projects to try. Oh Gayle you made laugh!! You sound just like me. Tech is suppose to always work the first time!! When my kids were little I was so overwhelmed some days and I was praying for patience and didn't understand why things seemed to get worse and my frustration much higher!! When I went to S.S. The next Sunday I told them that I couldn't understand why I was having such a hard time because I was asking God for patience and everyone started laughing. And I was like what's so funny I'm frustrated. And our S.S. School teacher Mrs. Brooks who was 91 by the way and a firm believer and a wonderful woman began to explain by asking a question. Freida what does the Lord do when you ask to grow in an area such patience? And the lightbulb came on and I said very quietly... He sends lessons so you can learn and grow in that area. And she said... So Freida pray for strength and peace and joy in being a mother. Don't pray for patience unless you want more things to come to teach you that!! Very valuable lesson. I miss her a lot because she helped me grow in my faith!!! But I hear you Gayle you would think by now they could upload your videos much easier and faster. Something we could pray about!!!

39:17...teaching 5th graders can be a humbling experience: I thought I was giving the children a skill that would do them for life--folding paper back and forth numerous times to tear it straight and even. I looked out over the class and saw this super, little girl, head slightly lowered running the fold back and forth over her tongue while the rest of the class was still folding and refolding.

Gayle, It’s coming along beautifully! I have to tell you though, when you said you were wondering what else you could put on the envelope, you didn’t hear me hollering or you ignored me saying, “Get the wax rose out, get the fire stick!” I’m still watching the video but I had to pause & comment as to, Humm...I wondered where you were about to go with the fishing lure box? 😂😂😂 Yes, your great find at an estate sale is a fishing lure box. I’ve had one just like it since 1991. 😂 But now if I come across another one that is clean, I will sure use it for lace. Thanks!
