    great tutorial, I'm wondering if there's a way to get decay? like in trapcode particular, so that when the lines are drawn they draw off again over time.

    Great tutorial! Informative yet straight to the point! Just wondering how you were able to get the emitters to glow that brightly and vibrantly in the final render? Is that by tweaking the Luminance material in C4D or through another effect in AE (you mentioned overlays but I'm still not sure how to achieve that look)? Thanks!

    Hey, could you please explain how exactly to apply the Hextile filter in After Effects? Awesome tutorial!

    • @Michael_Tierney
      @Michael_Tierney  6 років тому

      Just type 'CC HexTile' into the effects tab. Apply this and play with the scale.

    thanks for the good tuts. i have one question. i think the final result(6:18-6:25) has an effect like some kind of hologram texture. how can i apply that texture to video? using after effect or other programs?

    • @Michael_Tierney
      @Michael_Tierney  8 років тому +4

      Hi, I achieved the hologram texture by using the 'CC Hextile' built in effect in After Effects :)

    I had a good work if i make a render selección but I don't see the light effect if I add to render queue.

    The ending edit of this video has some sort of filter over the whole thing? What is that?

    • @Michael_Tierney

      After Effects / Filters / HexTile :)

      @@Michael_Tierney and I guess the glow is just glow from the C4D material on the particles right?

    It doesn't come out like this for me
    after adding the tracer the particles do not change, they do not lengthen
    they just stay the same
    The same thing happens with other objects, no matter how hard I try to move things, the particles never change
    What I can do?

  • @ppronironi9554

    Very cool tutorial! I've tried it and helped me a lot! but I have a question :C I did a little camera movement animation around the particles, but when I render the image is still :( there's no movement at all. How can I render the camera movement too? Do i need to activate some other things apart from the white little thing besides the camera icon?
    I do also set from the camera window, the "use camera" and the selected the camera I created :c but again...there's no camera movement in the render.
    I also set the keyframes too, when I hit "play" in the timeline bar, the camera animation works, the problem is just in the final render. thank you beforehand !!

    hello, is there a way to do that then the spline fade away?

    • @DanielViteripixplanet
      @DanielViteripixplanet 5 років тому

      I think you just need to keyframe the sweep nurb so it progressively disappears. The spline itself won´t render.

    great, but when I go to render it doesn't appear properly. I tried to bake dynamics but didn't work. How do you export this as a PNG sequence with all the lines appearing?

  • @owenkilleen

    Do you know if the tracer gets affected negatively if you use either global illumination or the physical renderer? My tracer object won't change scale

    Hi, extremely cool content, I tried to use this method for an animation, but when I render it the birth rate seems to grow at double the speed, I even tried to bake the emitter, but nothing, if someone know how fix this issue let me know! thanks

    Man, please, slow down. I understand you are very pro and very used to C4D and such, but your video says _Particle Emitters Tutorial_ not _Particle Emitters Speedrun._ Everytime you press a button (except for dragging objects or other very very basic actions) you should explain *why are you* doing that. Thankyou anyway!
