At least with redshift you can also use the matrix object instead of the cloner, to have even better viewport performance. Just put a RS object tag on the matrix and enable particle geometry
I know it's an old video, but maybe it's a quick tip. How to import the points orientation along also ? It worked perfectly, but it's ignoring the rot/orientation of points.
Nice tutorial. Btw it works in all alembics. Not only from Houdini. I used this on the fluid sim I made in Blender and imported into Cinema 4D. Thanks.
Thank you for this information! Super helpful, you just saved my ass! And just to re-iterate what Julian Zielinski said you can do the same thing but with a Matrix Scatter for Redshift
in this way the particle dosent keep the orientation, is good only for spheres, there is another way to import orientation in the thinking particle via xpresso tag Pget and Pset attribute.
Nice gambiarra, but unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem, only a turn around. Try doing this with a really complex simulation with millions of particles. C4D simply cannot handle.
Absolutely incredible support from Joren and Pixellab. Love your products.
Much appreciated!
OMG THANK YOU, I WACHED 4 TUTORIALS ONLY THIS ONE WORKED
Awesome!! :)
thanks, I really wanna get this tip. you save my life about 3-4 days more!!!!

Nice, thanks for the tip!
Any idea about how to keep/transfer the Cd attribute ? I’m loosing the color Info with this method.

finally someone fixed it !! thank youu

Thank You! very useful tutorial!
I am not able to see the Alembic particles in blender what can I do ?
Cool man! Thanks!
Very Thank you!! I find this way!!! again Thank you!!
Extremely amazing👆💪
amazing, but how to get rotaion and psacle in martix.
thanks so much you just saved me🤞🤞🤞🤞
Hello, can you publish a houdini to export abc files?
Hey mate, I'm really sorry but unfortunately we only offer the exports at this point :(

how?
Can it not all just be moved and scaled in object mode? I am sure that is how I do it.
I don't think so, at least it didn't work for me. Try it though and let me know!
@@thepixellab2011 Just tried... I am completely wrong yeah sorry must have dreamt that.
awesome thanks for the tip
Happy to help!
cant donwload your file on gumroad T_T
Not sure what you mean? We don't have anything on gumroad?
this just saved my life..i need to get out of this program lol
C4D needs to improve that workflow!
Yes, 100%, kind of crazy!
