Delta is the Best Airline company of USA , i had good experiences , when i Flew with Delta to New York City, Miami, Atlanta and Rio de Janeiro, I❤️Delta 🇺🇲🇺🇲🛫🛫
Early 70s, I'll be bound, that first commercial. Captain is wearing the older Flying D cap badge that predates the Widget. I knew Bob Bolling (Ramp Agent). I worked on the ramp with him at JAX in the summers of 1971 and 72. A really nice guy, he was one of my favorite employees there.
I was lucky to fly to the USA as kid and in 1991 we flew on one of Delta’s first flights from Manchester to Atlanta on a brand new 767-300! We then transferred to Cleveland with a 737-200. We were visiting friends that my parents made in the US whilst on holiday in Florida in 1989. They also visited us in York, England and they loved all the sites and being in England enjoying living and staying with us. Good memories and the food and service was really nice back then
There is absolutly no doubt....the adiemus commercial was and is forever the best of all....and of all other comercials ever done! I remember in my childhood, when i saw it on television....chills, never ending chills...!!!!
1:30 the great Len Gochman on the voice-over for Delta. He was one of all-time best commercial announcers. 7:33 the distinctive voice of Ed Grover for Delta. You'll recognize his voice from Visa commercials, and this iconic tagline: "Visa... it's everywhere you want to be."
Delta Airlines only 3 merger Chicago and Southern Airlines in 1953 followed by Northeast Airlines in 1972 and last but not least Western Airlines in 1987 largest city hub at the airport Atlanta Boston Cincinnati Dallas-Fort Worth Los Angeles Orlando and Salt Lake City we love to fly and it shows 1970 through 1993 era ✈️
Actually there have been 4 mergers in Delta’s history. Delta merged with Northwest Airlines in 2008 and had completely integrated them into Delta by 2010.
Uh, someone should have told the people who made the first commercial that the flight crew was no longer called "stewards" or "stewardesses"; they're now called flight attendants.
EricEbac. When I was hired by Delta in 75, we were called steward's I was referred to as Steward untill the mid 90's and on occasion, even to this day some older generation will refer to me as "oh Steward". Does it bother me? Not at all, why you ask, because it's just a name, I know I'm a flight attendant, but sometimes being referred to as a Steward, has a sense of regalness to it.

Thank you for sharing these-- back when flying was an enjoyable and special experience. They definitely bring a smile to my face. 🙂✈️

The worst Delta flight at the time of these ads is better than anything you're forced through today.
Why is that? What a shame!
Bring back the way it was! ❤
I have a Delta Air Lines "Spirit Of Delta" Boeing 767.
Me too, got it when visiting the Delta museum in Atlanta on a trip from England. Loved the Tristar cabin too.

Amen bro! So dramatic!!! I love the adiemus version! It’s so well done that it should get an Emmy or something lol.
Other then some wake turbulence we hit after taking off from LAX last month I’ve never had a bad experience with Delta
I like the old colors better but that's my opinion.

That 767 that lands at 7:18 in dramatic fashion always gets me!
the good old days rip delta l1011
2:54 Delta could talk about the airports of the future. Well, it's the future, and you really don't want to know about them.
6:33 This is my favorite
4:31 I was one of those kids!
6:34 is what you're looking for

Keep your cancel culture to yourself. It is history. Context...see Kathurtado above...ditto.
EricEbac22 You need to be cancelled.
2:16 Ryanair in Europe will probably come up with something like that at some stage
