    Hi people talking about needing a green screen. All you need is a single color blanket or sheet to key out. It doesn't need to be a "greenscreen". Green is only used because its very vibrant and not found in skin tones so you will never accidentally key out ur face. If you have a blanket or towel that is one color you can achieve this.
    Sincerely, someone who went to film school

    I have a c920 - I use an old school method of using a tiny amount of vaseline on the outer rim of the lens. ( Having cool stuff in the background, well, can't help with that but ... ) This creates a blur/glow effect depending on how you apply it. Just keep the main subject (You) clear. Photographers/Filmmakers have been doing this forever. It's quick, cheap and effective :)

    So as a IT professional and a mild mannered streamer I can kinda answer why we dont get better web cams. The reason is pretty simple. Companies like Cisco and huddle are the major players and most web cams are used for conference rooms and so on. Huddle cams are awesome but expensive Cisco well its Cisco. Maybe with covid and more remote work and learning there will be more options and affordable options coming soon.

    Ofc I'd rather it be just software, but a green screen doesn't need to be green, or a specific material. Just find any cotton curtain in a solid main color such as blue or green(which is preferrable) and use some PVC piping to make a tiny stand that you can easily disassemble. There you go, assembled in 5 minutes and works just as good.

    I just purchased the logitech brio and the image quality is similar to logitech 920,just slightly more accurate/sharp but is much muchhh widerrrr ,the field of view.For that field of view,it does deserve the extra 100euro.
    However,webcams are good.not excellent,they cant come near to a professional camcorder or DsLR!
    I was shocked to see the same logitech brio,with same lights,but different decoration/colors looks so different.In a darker background/brown furniture,cheap forniture,it loooks bad,it needs a specific color/decoration/backround to improve your quality!

    Green screen and $1000 worth of lights. Simple.

    You could also use green poster board as a green screen. If your webcam is not facing a wall or you are not comfortable putting the poster board on your wall, you could also use pvc pipe to hold it up

    This quarantine has made the webcam prices skyrocket here in EU. The logitech c920 costs 140$ which is insane, the cheapest webcam that is decent is the logitech c270 and on a discount + a coupon it is 40$

    I know it takes extra steps and hooks up similar to an slr... but I thought a good video title would be “the best webcam you didn’t know you had” for GoPro owners. Gopros film much better than most webcams and can be easily easily setup as a video device with a cam link(which uses a GoPro you may have laying around while also giving you one piece of hardware to upgrade the slr route down the road) just a thought for a video! I’m sure you have some GoPros laying around. And depending on your model they are capable of 4K30, 1080p120/60 etc etc with all sorts of fov adjustments

    Great video. Congrats. Would it be a good idea to use an iPhone 11 Pro Max or iPhone 12, Pro Max, as the external camera instead?

    For anyone reading this comment, after watching this video if you see the words "green screen" it doesn't always mean it has to be green. You can use any color sheet in your house( yes some colors will perform better than others, but you can use anything. Just make sure the chroma key you use it set to a similar color same to the sheet. So for anyone that can't afford a green screen right now i hope this is at least something good luck

    Y'all are so funny. I love this channel.
    The only issue is that I use a REAL operating system, called (Ubuntu) Linux. Thus, there are 20 extra steps----none of that i-Nonsense or executable Windows thingamagigee files.
    This was good, but those of us using OBS in Linux will continue to roam around in the wilderness , alone, and figure it out on our own. I like the trick, though. A yelling, crazy Harris and broom already made my day.

    Webcam doesn't need a processor. It literally attached to a computer! There you go! Here is your innovation. Process signal by processor on your computer.

    Its a clever idea and I suppose if you’re budget doesnt call for it. You could do this. But its a lot of work for a very static and limiting outcome. Sure it looks pretty good when done right. But these days you can pick up cheap dslrs for like 150 bucks. Throw on a cheap manual focus lens with a shallow depth of field and get better results that aren’t static. But cool nonetheless.

    the redragon gw800 is pog, I got it a week ago and is surprisingly good, but if you are super bright or the lighting is harsh you won't look good, so my advice is to actually point you lights away haha

      @EpochIsEpic 4 роки тому

      Masked Blaze Vault if the wall is one color you might be able to just key out whatever color the wall is and avoid the green screen all together. Obviously that may or may not work very well depending on the color of the wall though

    • @egwagjsd
      @egwagjsd 4 роки тому

      Epoch my walls are fairly similar to my skin tone, I don’t think the keying would work well

      Masked Blaze Vault ah. Is there anyway you could say, duck tape a sheet to your wall? That has potential to work as well
