A really cool effect that you could also use this for, if you border out your camera in your game play capture (Might look ok if you don't as well never tried)is to make the green screened background slightly smaller so that it looks like you're popping out of the background. Gives it almost a 3D effect.

Hi people talking about needing a green screen. All you need is a single color blanket or sheet to key out. It doesn't need to be a "greenscreen". Green is only used because its very vibrant and not found in skin tones so you will never accidentally key out ur face. If you have a blanket or towel that is one color you can achieve this.

Companies like Cisco and huddle are the major players and most web cams are used for conference rooms and so on. Huddle cams are awesome but expensive Cisco well its Cisco. Maybe with covid and more remote work and learning there will be more options and affordable options coming soon.

I started to actually use my Smartphone as a webcam in OBS and the quality is way better than my c922. I use an app called IP Cam (or you could use the NDI app as well) which streams the video to a local IP Adress which you can browser capture in SLOBS/OBS. the downside is that you'll need a really fast and stable WIFI connection to get a realtime stream, or you might have to consider lowering the "stream qualtiy" of the phone resulting in more MPEG-artifacts. But you could go down to 50% and still get an awesome image.

For anyone that might have missed it. The links for the camera light overlays are in the Alpha gaming Discord. I didn't listen to Sam until I watched the video a couple more times. You can miss it very easily.

Oh btw .. This kinda reminds me of that video of MissyMae pulling down her greenscreen to reveal her fake background hahaha. People sometimes don't realize how difficult it is to get lighting right for every stream, so this is def. a worthwhile trick!

well with a video cutting program like davinci resolve, adobe premiere, sony vegas / movie studio, tmpgenc video mastering works (which supports x264 which almost none programs do, not even the expensive ones).
make sure you record you videos with a high bitrate, high CRF or even lossless.
cause you need to encode your video again after cutting the clips together. lossy material encoded again doesnt always look good.

I have a c920 - I use an old school method of using a tiny amount of vaseline on the outer rim of the lens. ( Having cool stuff in the background, well, can't help with that but ... ) This creates a blur/glow effect depending on how you apply it. Just keep the main subject (You) clear. Photographers/Filmmakers have been doing this forever. It's quick, cheap and effective :)
PS - No, It doesn't hurt your cam.

NVIDIA Broadcast also helps with image replacement/background blur. Note that you do need an RTX or beefy graphics card to get the most out of it...

This quarantine has made the webcam prices skyrocket here in EU. The logitech c920 costs 140$ which is insane, the cheapest webcam that is decent is the logitech c270 and on a discount + a coupon it is 40$
