Great and fair review as always. Keep it up.
Not really that fair at all
Yeah Lite Brite freaked out when they did a ride in earlier this year and realized that was possible.
Definitely not a fair review bro. They gave them a handicapped Jeep
@@MKmartinezkillz the bronco comes standard with a lot of features especially the badlands and I think it’s a fair comparison since on Jeep it’s all add ons which is a head scratcher since the rubicon should be the same way so Jeep could Improve on standard features and not nickel and dime people to death since the price is already super high
@@jamesdoyle8034 at the end of the day what it should be is the best vehicle both manufactures can offer. And that's not what happened here. That's like trying to compare Dodge Ram TRX vs a King Ranch. Instead of obviously comparing it to the Raptor.

A fun fact that might not be fun in the end.

I used to say something similar in construction when homeowners asked if something is possible. Anything is possible, it just depends on how much you want to spend.
You need to take to colorado, attention:if you going to try 4 doors bronco it should be a 4 doors Jeep as well.
Prices on Jeeps have been climbing over the years due to lack of competition. Hopefully the Bronco puts them in check.
You are talking about a company that makes a $90,000 half ton right? 🥸
Ford and jeep are going to have a legendary rivalry
I hope so! I have a Rubicon but I'm happy for the competition for sure.
@Carolus Magnus prob both companies improving their cars out of necessity. An offroad space race
Ford makes better vehicles
Competition should make them continue to get better in the long run. But I don't see a lot of true die hard Jeep lovers switching no matter how good the Bronco is. Conversely, a lot of serious Ford folks buy almost nothing from Chrysler (or GM). So I think the attention the Bronco might create may just expand the market for this type of vehicle (including Jeep), and not really hurt Jeep much. Just an opinion.

Yes great feature. Tommy I am quite disappointed overall. All these things have been gone over for 2 yrs. Like a table top comparison / review. When are we going to see some head to head off road capability shootouts? You're showing a lot of form but what about function. And please don't do them with a 2dr vs a 4dr. Ford has jerked us around long enough with the Bronco so don't follow suit plz. 1 last thing, I really loved your channel and content when you guys weren't so big because you guys were still hungry. You were hungry to grow and it showed. That my friend is what kept me coming back. Quick analogy...... Watching college sports is the best. Those guys play with so much drive and heart to reach their dreams of the big time. But then when they make it 4out of 5 just get complacent and are satisfied being good and no longer great. Plz don't fall into those ways. Don't just be another black and white channel. Be explosive again and show us the true colors we all saw when you were hungry again.

The sarge green with the tan soft top is the ultimate combination
I gotta agree. Great combo
Heck no, that needed a black top with that green
Yep. Especially in a 2 door Rubicon
I’ve got a Bronco Badlands on order but totally agree with you on the Wrangler color. I love the Sarge Green and it looks really nice with the beige top.
I got black/tan. Had to order it as that tan top is impossible to find in my market. Worth the wait as it'll be kinda rare I guess.

I’m just glad someone is pushing Jeep. They are far too expensive for what you get and have rested on their laurels too long. This is good for the consumer no matter which you buy.
I don’t think the price difference is enough to push consumers to one side or the other yet. $400 cheaper is not enough to get me to buy a Bronco. Maybe in the future one of these companies will truly price their product competitively but for now it’s about features and style.
Comparing 4 door trims on Jeep and Ford sites it looks like bronco is more expensive?
Literally just passed a disabled jeep earlier. My bud replaced his transmission 3 times and he didn't off road.

Friend of mine has a Jeep 2 doors and he took out the rear seat and made a "tool box" from the back of the front seat to the back door at the same level of the wheelwells, all out of steel, totally flat, that opens upward. Kinda Ridgeline-like. He put a motorcycle elastic net on top. You can store stuff on top of it. It is brilliant ! So much more storage space.
Sasquatch is a 2500 dollar option on the badlands. It's only 5k on the base model once they let you get it with a manual. Other than that it's about 7k because until later this year it forces you into an automatic.
And it’s standard on the wildtrak.
When can we get manual transmission sasquatch?

Usually more durable as well, look at a 10 year old top of the line truck, it'll start to look worn, base model truck will clean up like new

my girlfriend's 5.0 mustang has the little auto roll up window feature since they're frameless doors, and that car has been through it all and they still work. from 2006! ford seems to know how to make that pretty reliable.
2 door vs 4 door. Come on guys, let’s do an apples to apples comparison.
Looks like you didn't watch the video. They compared a 4 door Wrangler when they examined the back seat and cargo area
So, does the turn assist just sense which direction u r turning by the steering direction?
I love seeing someone who is tall sit inside. Great video. Would love to see a side by side comparison with Jeep and Bronco loaded with a weekends worth of camping gear and taken out on the trail. How does each perform with all that weight? I had a Jeep but couldn’t trust it past warranty. We would always load it down with camping gear and when doing so there were quite a few times when the suspension bottomed out on serious obstacles. It was a blast and my attention is fully on the Bronco for getting back to that open air off road experience.
Finally a video that shows how the back seats fold down. Thanks for sharing!
My old Impreza had frameless windows, and I pushed more through the dirt than 90% of Broncos will ever see. Held up fine, I expect the two decade newer Bronco frameless windows to hold up just as well. Frameless windows are awesome.
I believe that the Bronco materials are more plasticy because it's a full washout interior. You can take a hose and hose it down and then use the built in drain plugs to dry it.

I wouldn’t trust the turbo 4 in the Bronco or any Ford - the V6 is where you want to be if you’re keeping long term or buying used down the road.
@@Expressionistix That's because you don't know shit.
The fact jeep makes you pay for led headlights on all the trims other than the high altitude and the 392 is a disappointment. You can spec a rubicon to almost 56k and still have halogen headlights.
That’s ridiculous on Jeep’s part LED headlights should standard on Sahara trim and above. But don’t forget Jeep still changes $495 extra for remote start except for Rubicon 392. Hopefully for 2022 or 2023 Jeep will add more standard equipment since it actually has solid competition now.
Hopefully Ford starts doing the same with their trucks. My 2020 f-150 with a price tag of 55k came with halogens. Only the top tier trucks in the ford lineup come with LEDS.
Recently got a Willys 4 door, which is a sport trim. Came with factory LEDs and fog lights...
Halogen is much cheaper to maintain than a full led head lights, and plus you can always get good aftermarket led bulbs for the halogens
@@Theoneandonlyearthhuman much cheaper to maintain? You're funny! LEDs require no maintenance. The LED headlights might outlast the vehicle itself! Really excellent and thorough review. Great presentation personality.
Tommy mentioned the Bronco tie downs on the hood look like gun sights. I wonder if Ford did that on purpose. They may line up with the front tires, giving you a better way to position this tires on the trail. Much like Jeep did the the JK.

That wrangler was actually equipped with the rubber floor mats with drain holes
The insiders at FCA have been looking to improve the Wrangler as soon as they found out the real numbers behind the new Ford Bronco a while back. Prepare for a new Wrangler in the coming years.
No way, Ford new what they were doing teasing the Bronco right after the JL launched. Look at the F150, Tundra, JK Wrangler, Civic, etc... car manufacturers want to recycle as much of the platform they can for the next generation. Jeep might come out with different fenders, but I highly doubt they would scrap the platform not even half way through its product cycle. Also, the Wrangler can run 35" tires stock, 37" tires with the right back spacing and bump stop extensions.
.
Jeep has done their homework and they know very few people need the Rubicon gear. It's cool AF, but basically it's mostly bought for style which I assume is the case for the Sasquatch. All they need to do is make a rear locker, high fender, and 35" tire package available across all trims and voila. The Wrangler is already the superior chassis though. You can literally bolt on a pro rock 44 front axle and 40" tires with a high angle lift kit and new fenders.
.
But the Bronco's rear top panels are removable and that's my biggest complaint about my JT Rubicon. Should have given it a roll down rear window and 4 freedom panels to remove along with the side panels. That and auto roll up windows for godsake.
@@KTMcaptain Wranglers don't have 35s from the factory right now because they don't actually fit without rubbing. "Superior chassis" is a stupid comment, you're basically saying old=better which is nonsense. IFS is better in almost all situations on and off road and and having coilovers at all 4 corners is exponentially better than the Jeep setup.
@@mechmat12345 Wrong, wrong, and wrong again. Wranglers don't come with 35s because they didn't need to come with them since 33s can clear the Rubicon trail. Stock Rubicon fenders clear 35" tires without rubbing and will clear 37" tires with a simple bump stop extension. Do your research kid.
.
I never said older is better. I said it has the superior chassis. If independent suspension was better, then why did the Bronco go with a solid rear axle? You lack any critical thinking skills. Ford went with IFS because its cheaper and easier and could be carried over from the Ranger platform. Also, the suspension travel under articulation is just better than what the bronco can do and only gets better when modified with higher misalignment bushings. If you don't understand why or how, then I'd suggest you do your research kid. But the Bronco does not come with KOH style IFS, and plenty of Ultra4 trucks have solid front axles... but what do race truck builders know next to a compliant Ranger IFS setup?
.
Coilovers aren't better intrinsically than a shock and spring outside of reducing mass. In fact, the best shocks in the world are not coilovers. F1 cars use heave sprung suspension and Trophy Trucks use external bypass shocks and coil carriers. Again, do your research kid.
🤡🤡🤡

This is what I've been waiting for! Thank you
Tazer JL Mini said they are working on bringing the turn assist feature to the Jeep. Narrower body means you can get around obstacles more easily. I've already taken my JTR rock crawling and used the front wheel to climb a rock, the set it down next to the body. But that's a much longer vehicle and a 4 door JL wouldn't have had to do that.
Can't wait to put my order in for a 2 door sasquatch with the 2.7L as soon as they're readily available here in Canada... nothing wrong with waiting out the initial issues of a new model either...
As a long time wrangler owner, I have a few observations that may help others like me cross shopping the Bronco:
The fenders on the Jeep are so wide because the tires are pushed outwards from the body more. If you really do hard core off roading, this should matter to you. It keeps your body work away from obstacles when you're deep in the ruts, or on a side slant towards the ground. Wish they popped off like the Bronco though! That's an awesome feature.
Lets be real about the IFS. It is better in every off road situation except for hard core flex heavy off roading. The problem is... this vehicle competes with the most hard core off roader on the market. It won't replace the wrangler in that regard, but the FJ Cruiser guys went hard with IFS back in the day, and the Taco and 4Runner guys do it now to a bit of a lesser extent.
My Wranger's flat rear floor after folding the seats down is one of its unexpectedly best features. I think it's impossible to convey how truly useful this makes a vehicle like the wrangler. It's literally a gigantic box, and is ridiculously practical (4 door). One of the biggest misses on the Bronco in my opinion.
One of the biggest misses on the Wrangler is the base price value. The wrangler base has: No power windows, no power locks, no LED headlights, no AC, no keyless entry, and a soft top. The Bronco has all of this and a hard top, and is only a couple of grand more (CAD). To get all of this on a wrangler, you'd have to spend TEN THOUSAND MORE (CAD). Now, I love the base model wrangler. Some people don't want all the options I just listed, and I get that... but the price should reflect that, and it clearly DOESN'T.
The only reason why wranglers cost a lot is the demand since the bronco is out now it might change that I could be wrong but I noticed a huge price jump 6-7 years ago
As an engineer put it, the Bronco is better at everything once you hit 5mph, which is 99% of the time off road. The Wrangler can never match the Bronco in most off road situations, until they ditch the solid front axle. FYI, in the US the Base Bronco starting price is like $200 more than a Wrangler in two door configuration, and comes with the hard top.
@@mechmat12345 Right? The base 2 door Bronco is an amazing value compared to the Wrangler right now. My hype for this vehicle is pretty high.
@@mechmat12345 what are you on off-road you mean on road off road solid axle is better than any IFS
I'm really looking forward to future editions of these cars trading blows and making eachother better
Great review! Appreciate the info
It they were both the 2 door versions, then they would be the most off road worthy.
What you all miss is that Ford's base engine offers great power and the optinal 2.7 one isn't that much more and is a true beast of a motor. The base jeep v6 is a boat anchor and the optional turbo 2.0 make's much less power than either Ford Engine. If the diesel costs the same as the Ford 2.7 v6 I'd say that's an advantage, but I bet it's quite expensive. Good video
Wrangler has a 392 option, blows any of the Ford options away.
Does the 2 door bronco have the holder in the back for the doors or is it the 4 door only?
Keep in mind that the sasquatch package is much cheaper to add to the badlands as it already has most of the equipment. It's only 3k on the badlands.
But the Badlands is a more expensive trim level. Regardless, you're still fully paying for Sasquatch features.
Let’s hope the new 4Runner will bring back some retro aspects from the 1st gen. That would make this battle even better.
Have you seen the video of the jeep crash test though?
It rolls over because of the shape of that front end..!
I saw a bronco in the wild today very nice looking rig
