So I timed manta storm. The Tas beat that in 22 to 23 seconds. (I say this to account for human reaction time when stopping the time.) That is mind blowing.
My fastest is like 1:15 abd I was suoer hyoed on that seeing this just completely blew my mind.
I felt exhausted after just watching the second petey fight lol

@360Chrism that m manip in bianco is insane because I have done the partial (requires near perfect timing and I discovered it on accident)
Ricco 4 n 7 was impressive but the tas on ricco 5 was slow
AverageTrey did a whole video about the double cycle skip not too long ago. Virtually impossible RTA but obviously the TAS burns RNs to guarantee it.
I never noticed how agile Mario is before seeing this...
normally he's slower cause they are mantip'ing speed tech for some extra speed. most people can't go this fast.

The water IS the death area. The water has properties that is supposed to instantly kill you. However, he went straight past the water, thus bypassing the death flag. It's just like the poison water in the yoshi secret pipe in Delfino Plaza
i always thought yoshi was a shine requirement. i never connected that maybe the yoshi looking mission unlocked him.

Rocket storage is simple. Landing on the same frame the rocket fires off, should store the blast. That's the only way I know of doing it and it's simple.

you can't beat the game that way no. but you can get lots of shines without any level shines. someone already did it.
