Just bought one. The quality is top tier and this gun is ready to go as is out of the box! I’m changing the ch to a raptor, the trigger to Geissele and stock to B5 but all just personal preference. LWRCi literally built the perfect AR all the way down to the roll marks, the full auto is a cool touch, pinned gas block, dimpled castle nut, the trigger reset is super pronounced and loud! The 1 piece bcg design is awesome, FULL AMBI, etc etc etc! Buy one
I completely agree. I actually like the charging handle. Still on the dense about the stock. May change that out later. I did like the trigger and thought it was really nice for a mil-spec trigger but I did swap it for an SSA-E that was in a rifle it has no business being in. I've been rocking with LWRC since 2014 and they're still my favorite manufacturer.
New to the gun world, and my first AR was an M&P Sport II, and I'm happy happy with it. Wanted to get an upgrade, and after a lot of research, went with the LWRC Di, which was an obvious choice after all of the reviews, and especially the price range for a superior AR. I did have to purchase a plate to connect the bipod, as LWRC is size proprietary. The Sig Sauer scope fits on beautifully. I do like your iron sight setup, as I never saw that before - having them angled on the sides.

This year, a Walther PDP with free red dot, and last weekend ordered a Tisa 1911 to add to the collection. All on huge sale.
I have a 2018 vintage proprietary rail Burnt Bronze M6IC DI and like it, just wish it didn’t have a heavy profile barrel. Mine came with a Magpul MOE+ rubber grip. I like the snakeskin pattern of their grip. That accu-wedge makes mine so tight I have to use a punch and hammer to split my AR. I use the QD in the back of my angled fore grip on my rifle.
Nice review! I did a review too but you went into detail. Good job. I got mine with the proprietary rail but I replaced it with the mlok rail that covers most the barrel.
Great review and love the set up! Only thing I would change is your offset irons to an offset red dot. Love how you went in depth not only on the rifle but also the why's behind your attachments.

i broke my bcm gunfighter mod 4 charging handle mostly from dry firing and practicing manipulation and malfunction clearing drills. charging latch came right off. I have dry fired and done manipulation drills with my lwrc and the charging handle with the oversized pins seems to prevent them from breaking as easily as my bcm charging handle.
Yeah. I heard the Gunfighter charging handles aren't the same quality ever since Vltor stopped making them. I like the LWRC charging handle. That thing is beefy.

@@dmdm9198 You probably know this already but, once you start getting into accuracy at distances and the types of ammo you use, to me, this is where knowing and understanding your twist rate comes into play. I've read that the 1:7 can stabilized heavier bullets then a 1:8. To the avg shooter, none of that probably even matters.

Thanks for watching. It's proprietary only in it's design eliminating the traditional gas key. The recieved is mil-spec and will work with any mil-spec BCG.
@@tyrellandonmorris07 It won't but the concept of their bcg is to eliminate the traditional gas key as a failure point aiding in reliability at high round counts. A mil-spec bcg will work the same. I can put up a video today showing the receiver working with both the lwrc bcg and a mil-spec one if it helps.

It is a great weapons system. The trigger is not bad. Definitely better than standard mil-spec. I'm considering a LaRue MBT 2 stage trigger. From what I understand they're pretty close to a Giselle SSA-E but sub $100. Very intriguing. As for the optic, I'm running a Primary Arms Slx 1-8x24 ffp with the raptor reticle and offset Magpul Mbus Pro irons.

Congrats on the purchase. As far as shooting it goes, it's pretty straight forward. I'd check out some shooting videos demonstrating how to properly shoot a rifle and definitely seek out some training from a reputable school.
It depends on the ammo. With match grade ammo, I'm getting between .8" - 1.2". Depends on the type of ammo and what kinda day I'm having. With PMC Xtac xm193 or Federal xm 193, I'm getting between 1.5" - 2". I'll be doing a follow-up video on this rifle, and I'll do some accuracy testing.
@@airborneivan 0.8-1.2 group is okay with premium ammo, it is fair, however it is my understanding Daniel Defense out of the box, is providing 0.5 inch groups with premium ammo. I too, picked up the same rifle as yours, never shot it just yet, and learned afterwards about Daniel Defense, almost a buyers remorse.
@darrinfrench9018 let me ask a question then: What's your intended role for this rifle? If it's a SHTF type of setup, does that extra .3" really going to make or break the rifle? Also, I've never shot, nor do I know anyone who has a DD rifle that gets .5" groups, but I have seen a DD rifle shoot like shit., and I'm not saying there isnt some out there that can, but both Daniel Defense and LWRC are fighting rifles meant for service use. These are not precision oriented guns. I've heard guys report .5" with their LWRC. Never seen it first hand. Best groups I ever got from an LWRC was .75", consistently, out of my piston upper. Remember, every barrel is its own barrel. You could have one that shoots sub 1 moa with Federal 77gr SMK's, then have another barrel from the same company and the best you get is 1.5 moa with the same load. I've found most people overly embellish their stories to validate their purchase, sound cool, or one-up the next guy. I say, just shoot it. Test different loads, see what it likes, and go from there.
Good thing I kept notes on my reviews. The website states 6.6lbs but didn't specify whether is was with or without a mag. When I weighed this rifle with an empty gen 3 pmag it weighed in at 6.7lbs.
I love Magpul stocks. Work great and cost effective. I think the tightest stock I've used has been the BCM mod 0 stock. Absolutely zero play feels like it's part of the buffer tube. I like the current stock it come with but I'm still on the fence on whether I should swap it out or not. Not having color options does suck. Maybe in the future. I did come across a Sopmod clone stock from JE Machine tech. Looks and feels like the B5 Sopmod stock but costs half the price. Found them on Delta team tactical .com for 45 bucks. They offer them in different colors.
I have no experience with POF so I can't really compare in terms of functionality. As far as aesthetics go, I prefer LWRC's rail and I like the A2 flash hider over the muzzle breaks that comes on the POF rifles. POF offers 3 lines - Renegade, Wonder & Minuteman. They offer multiple barrel lengths in rifle configuration where the LWRC really only offers a 10.5 pistol and 16.1 rifle. The POF rifles also come with their 3.5lbs single stage flat-face trigger. I have two of these and they are nice. I feel the Renegade and Wonder are more tailored towards 3-gun competition but I could be wrong. Both the Renegade and Wonder are more expensive than the LWRC Di with the POF Minuteman coming in at the same price point as the LWRC Di. You also loose you ambi lower with the Wonder and Minuteman line. Personally, I believe they'll match up evenly in terms of functionality, reliability and accuracy. Aesthetics will play a major role in decision making here as well as whether you want an ambi lower and you're ok with a muzzle break over flash hider.

@@hesko125 that's fine if it's a range toy or competition rig but I definitely wouldn't want that for something I'd defend my life with. Like I said before, the play between upper and lower will always exist but many companies have been able to minimize it to the point where it's not noticable unless you really look for it. Adding a tension screw with the nylon tip (most lowers have that hole threaded already) or the Accu-wedge which is much easier to use since no tools are needed. You said you were a Marine, could you imagine having to break down your rifle in the field and being unable to because of the lack of tools. I have one AR that has absolutely zero movement and I love it but it's a pain in my ass when I have to break it apart
@@hesko125 seems like that's may be the deciding factor for you. Zero movement between receivers and if POF provides that then maybe that's the rig for you.

You can thanks Marylands dumb laws for the heavy barrel. Thankfully, the fluting does make a difference. I love the Burnt Bronze color.

Thanks. The light is a Streamlight HL-X. It's the version without the built in mount. The mount is an Odin works offset mount.
