I shoot a VICTRIX ORB and definitely VICTRIX knows how to make 22LR. The VENUS is perfect for PRS and the ORB is the best 22LR for ELR22 . Accuraccy, ELR features , TACOM Charlie mount, Rear Adjustable bag rider, very high V0 and fast cycling 10 round magazine, for shooting in the wind at 600yards. And about price: just add, what making a custom rifle would cost and how much time it will take...... and add the possibility of mismatch of parts that will need adjustment and upgrades.( been there done that) . After you do your own calculations... you will see that the VICTRIX is actually a very good and reasonable investment. Your will get a rifle that is second to none from day 1 and start enyoing it.
Yes the Victrix Orb is a nice choice for ELR. I’ve not yet had a chance to shoot it, but it’s got great features. Thanks for the feedback. Yes the costs of individual component parts for different manufacturers would cost a little more and the time to build and set up would also be considerable. I do think the Victrix is exceptional value for money for the competitive shooter.
Although I mention the price as a con, I think it’s pretty good value for money, especially if you compare it to a RimX action, MDT elite chassis, and match barrel combo!
I measured the balance point at 6.5cm in from of the barricade stop on my rifle with the bipod fitted. Using additional foreend weights would move this if needed.
Victrix Sporting Plus adjustable single stage trigger with a two-position safety: standard setting approx. 250 gr (8.82 oz). I have not adjusted from factory settings
Hi John, can you tell me what is minimum lenght of pull on this riffle? I shoot preaty straight forward on my position and i'm just woried about lenght of buttstock.
@@JonCresswellUk Riffle is great. Shoots well ! Will be grat if they will make shorter buttstock even optional, more less 2-3 cm. New shooting techniques, requaries shorter buttstocks, specjaly for PRS style shooting.
@wingding028 ah, ok… I’ll contact them when they get back from their vacation and will find out what’s going on. Hopefully they will have a distributor on their website again soon.
Chassis lenght of pull alone will disqualify it for most people , its longer than any other chassis by some margin, having scope on XXL high mount does not help author's credibility.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. The Venus pro has a length of pull from 35.2cm to 37.1cm (as measured on my rifle). Standard length of pull for rifles is approximately 34cm, so the Venus chassis is only slightly longer than standard in length of pull. Agreed, I could have opted for the 34mm high mount instead of the 48mm high mount. I couldn’t go any lower than that otherwise my scope wouldn’t clear the foreend picatinny rail - this was a bit of a miscalculation on my behalf and I agree that it is slightly high for my rifle. I do tend to shoot keeping my head more upright as opposed to the traditional high cheek weld. It works for me, but point taken. Thanks.
@@JonCresswellUk IF you look at competition like MDT they go 31-37cm ,in PRS we are going shorter all the time as unlike conventional rifles you shoot much more squared to the target .We compared them to MDT and its just to long for many , i guess Victrix will change that buttstock sooner than later.
@Mr.T-SI thanks. In comparison to that chassis you are right, it is longer with less adjustment in the length of pull. I will feed this back to Victrix. Thanks for taking the time to share your comments with me, I appreciate it.
No doubt, I was expecting a crazy amount of MOA with all the height, and it is only 20. Also wondering why one would put a pic rail on an arca rail chassis?!?
@OwlsAndChickens I explained the mount height and the reason for the pic rail in the video 👍. You could easily fit the medium mount (#3438) I wanted to have clearance of the enclosed foreend. The pic rail is for my bipod as it’s not an arca bipod.
If you have any questions about the Victrix Venus Pro Small Bore please let me know and I’ll do a video to try to answer them. Thank you for watching.
Yeah, finally! Thank you very much, Jon!
☺️👍

Great video as always Jon!
Thank you 🙏
Great job Sir!
Thank you
Nice competition 22LR😎
Looking good. I think. you've found your calling..
Thanks Gordon 👍
I did put you on my Facebook page! Thank you

Great video, well done buddy, but we want more Bramble! 🤭
Thanks Lewis! She’s the brains behind the operation 😉
Awesome rifle!
It would be really nice to know where the balance point (center of gravity) is, expressed as the distance from the barricade stop.
Thank you. You can change the balance point depending on where you place weights and bipod etc. I’ll have a look at mine and will get back to you.

@@JonCresswellUk Thank you! This helps!
@OshoRamseyGump where would you normally have the balance point?
@@JonCresswellUk Ideally, half the length of your Gamechanger bag.
So 9 cm or so. This way, the rifle balances on a thin prop, such as a thin board.
when will part 2 be online?
I need to buy a torque wrench that goes to 12NM! My torque screwdriver doesn’t go that high. Sorry for the delay in getting this next video out
You have originaly trigger with 250 gr of force, or you make upgrade with Victrix sporting single stage V trigger with 40gr of force?

@mariuszpilch7762 true, I have my butt stock fully retracted when shooting off barricades.
is there a USA dealer for Victrix?
Yes. On Instagram they are 11tenthsarmory
who sells these in the uk jon?
They have a list of distributors on their website.

The mounts come in a range of heights - this is the one I picked 👍. Yes I could have fitted a lower mount.
Lovely rifle, who are the UK supp!iers, if any?
I got mine from PBS international, they are on google. Sorry I can’t add links due to the new UA-cam community guidelines.
