Awesome video Jon
Great stuff John, Class to see the Breechtool being used on even more of your weapon systems!
Literally my fingers don’t bend that way so having a tool that can get to those hard to reach places makes all the difference.
This is a once in 10 year cleaning
Thanks for the feedback. Everyone has their own maintenance routine, I probably over clean my firearms (it’s an ex military thing…) but I wouldn’t recommend waiting 10 years to clean like this. It depends on your usage and the environment in which you shoot - practical shot is ammo intensive and in the UK we have a lot of wet range days.
I really like the handguard. Can it be bought separately and does it fit standard AR 15s?
I’m not sure, give them a call or ping them an email and I’m sure they’ll get back to you. www.thetunnel.co.uk tap in the menu and you should see a t2rifles page
Excellent instructional video. I just purchased A300 and every video I’ve watched the weapon is already loaded. I don’t have a ton of experience shooting and this is my first semiautomatic shotgun. This was very helpful
Excellent! I’m glad you found it helpful. Did you see the part 1 video too? ua-cam.com/video/6iw87dM2mR8/v-deo.html
Nice rifles but communication with the company in all ways is very bad, I have a rifle produced by you and I tried to communicate with them via email, Instagram and Facebook without any benefit for months now and I have not received any response, I do not recommend buying any product from them due to the poor communication with them
Sorry to hear that. Which country are you in? They have a distributors network
i'm from oman
@abdullazizsaud9579 long time ago since I was in Oman (Salalah)! Have a look on their website, tap the menu top right and scroll to the bottom for their dealers. Hope this helps.
I'm not a fan of tanto blades but that does look smart, what is it?
It’s a Hoo Knife v4 👍
@@JonCresswellUk I saw a video on the hoo knives somewhere... They do one in a "normal" blade that looks just up my alley. I may have to sell my other knives to afford one though.
@AlanEaston I’ll be doing a video on this one so you can see what it’s like. Mine has a tanto but they do a drop point blade too.
Not too bad for 100m with the ammo used. Wish I had a no wind location, but it is fun to factor in wind at 100 & 200m with 22LR. I use a 457 Varmint (non MTR) with a shimmed the bolt for 43/1000" headspace. Try SK Standard Plus and Rifle Match (mine loves this), Eley Target and Club also works well for the lower end match ammo. Eley Team, Match and Tenex are great, but very pricey (and not realistically better than SK Rifle Match). Don't waste your time with HV ammo in 22LR precision shooting, they rarely group very tight; but they can be helpful with longer (200M) shots with some windy conditions. The best low end budget ammo are CCI SV and Aguila SV 40gr, won't quite match SK and Eley with some fliers; but they do group decent in most rifles.
Thank you for taking the time to let me know about the ammo that works well in your CZ457. I'll see if I can give the SK and Eley a go. Mine does seem to like subsonic ammo and you're right about the HV. Thanks again.
SK and Eley uses different lube. It is good to shoot a few rounds as foulers when you switch between different ammo, will reduce the likelihood hood of flyers with the higher quality ammo. Wasn’t clear on your video when you tested. Looking forward to seeing your updates.
@abengelbrecht I’ve definitely noticed that some lube on ammo is dirtier than others. thank you 🙏
Thank you for this walk through of the 1301. This really helped me understand my new 1301!
No worries! Glad it helped you. Did you see this video too ua-cam.com/video/6iw87dM2mR8/v-deo.html

Well spotted!
@@JonCresswellUk 👀
@@AkashDev-d9k I take it you’ve shot there too?
@@JonCresswellUk Yeah I've only hit big ben three times though
@AkashDev-d9k there are some tricky clays there! Let’s just say not all stages went so well for me 😂
Junk scope. Already sent a 5-25x50 back for warranty work before i could even sight my rifle in.... do not buy
Sorry, had a bad experience. They have a great warranty so I’m sure you’ll get excellent customer service from them.
@JonCresswellUk as always but I prefer a product I'm not forced to use a warranty right away for. Today is opening day and I have no rifle to use to hunt with... good thing it only takes 3yrs to draw another tag.
@highdesertkatz7790 oh no 😕 I’m gutted for you!
@@highdesertkatz7790same thing happened when i went to sight in my dads .243 with a vortex, wouldn’t even hit paper from 25 yards no matter what i did, went and bought a leupold and it zeroed almost immediately, vortex is junk
@ComedyforDummies sorry to hear that! I hope he’s now got his rifle set up so he can hit the range/hunt
Amazing video! Would you consider the barrel to be on the lighter side or heavier side? Would it handle a string of shots without overheating?
Thank you 🙏 It’s not a heavy match barrel, but I’d say it would cope with strings of shots in a PRS or hunting match where it will cool down between stages.
@ Did you get the chance to handle the STX variant? Any idea if the barrel is heavier on that one? Thanks a lot!
@Dany-rq5cm sorry, no I didn’t.
@ no problem! I’ll come back and leave an update if I get a chance to handle one.
@Dany-rq5cm is appreciate that! Thank you 🙏
Just ordered some eliminator and a chamber brush after seeing this 👌 Next on the list is a breech tool!
It’s good stuff! I use it on all my centre fire rifles, and it doesn’t have a chemical smell so you won’t get told off for cleaning indoors 😅 The blue tint you see on some of the patches is where it reacts with the copper. So you can see when your barrel is nice and clean 👌
@JonCresswellUk good to know! The stuff I use now is pretty potent, had to ventilate the kitchen last time I used it 🤣🤦♂️
@ChrisShootz85 lol hopefully this won’t happen again then
This bipod is just ROCK SOLID no wiggle at all
2 years use and still no wiggle 👍
Eliminator is the one !
Yes it’s great stuff.
Hi Jon, do you know how this compares to the smaller GO version features wise? Cheers Rich
I'll do a comparison video 👍, but in the meantime (if you're wondering which one to buy), check this out - scroll halfway down the page: timer.shooters.global/product/sg-timer-2/#compare-timers. The SG timer has a larger display, auto backlight, is water-and dust-resistant (a big thing if you shoot in bad weather), a louder buzzer, greater battery life, wireless charging, full control via timer or app, greater Bluetooth range, and NFC connectivity. Both have the same sensor and Bluetooth, are compatible with the SG drills app, have displays, a rechargeable battery, and great functionality. SG Go-Some settings can only be changed using the app. It's a great wallet-friendly version with a solid belt clip for practical shooting and a loud buzzer.
Thanks for the quick reply Jon, I'll take a look at the link, cheers 🤙🏼
@Bodhi504 no worries - they are both great timers and I love how they integrate with the video giving you a heads up display for your shots. If you do decide to get one, use “joncresswelluk” at the checkout and grab a bit of a discount 👍. (No I'm not sponsored by them).
@@JonCresswellUk thanks Jon I'll be sure to do that 😁🤙🏼
@Bodhi504 great stuff
I just bought one, sadly, the price is USA based, the materials are china made! Huge disappointment!! I have several products of Vortex that are premium grade, or tier 1 products and they are all made in USA! This is their tier 1 tripod! And made in china??? Wth!!! I need to sell this back to china. I mean, don't get me wrong, its very nice, and you can tell the quality is there. I just don't want anything china!. I don't want to support them unless it is last resort or if I don't have another choice.
Shame you didn’t get on with it, it’s a decent tripod. There are lots of there to choose from.
Thanks for the video, did a great job! Hello from USA!
Thanks 🇺🇸🇬🇧. It’s a brilliant accessory and I’m getting so much data from it that I can use to improve my shooting. Did you get one too?
What is the tightening torque for the picatinny rail bolts? 4Nm?
Scope ring mounts 1 NM (9 in/lb) first then tighten to 2 NM (18 in/lb). T20 Base to picatiny rail 4 NM (35 in/lb). T25
@@JonCresswellUk Thank you

Hi John, can you tell me what is minimum lenght of pull on this riffle? I shoot preaty straight forward on my position and i'm just woried about lenght of buttstock.
The Venus pro has a length of pull from 35.2cm to 37.1cm (as measured on my rifle).
@@JonCresswellUk Thank you. It's the same as motus chassis for my CZ457 and little bit too long for me.
@mariuszpilch7762 ok thanks for letting me know. I’ll feed it back to Victrix.
@@JonCresswellUk Riffle is great. Shoots well ! Will be grat if they will make shorter buttstock even optional, more less 2-3 cm. New shooting techniques, requaries shorter buttstocks, specjaly for PRS style shooting.
@mariuszpilch7762 true, I have my butt stock fully retracted when shooting off barricades.
Excellent
Thanks 🙏

How can you measure distances using the Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 5X reticle?
It doesn’t have a quick reference system like some of the other reticles (like the ones you might find in LPVO) Use the formula: Range = (target height inches x 95.5) / moa measured. Check out the manual for the BDC subtension values so you can use this to estimate ranges. Assuming the average torso height is 18in and using the markings in the BDC (red dot to hatch mark), the following can be used to work out the range of the average persons torso (top of shoulders to waist). First line 1,719/2 = 859yd Second line 1,719/5.2 = 330yd Third line 1719/9.4 = 183yd Forth line 1719/14.6 = 118yd
New Subscriber here. Excellent video. For a course I am taking I will have to detail strip my Sig Cross 6.5" Creedmoor. Do you happen to know what Sig would consider a detail strip versus a field strip for this rifle? I know messing with the trigger group is a no go (although there is a video of it being done for Cerakote purposes), so it basic bolt removal considered field stripped an bolt and magazine disassembly consider detail stripped? Also any suggestions for the Moly Disulfide anti-seize lubricant you prefer?
Firstly, thank you for subscribing. I really appreciate it. Have you considered emailing the people running the course to find out what they mean by detail strip? I’m unsure, but I wouldn’t think that stripping the trigger group is something that an end user should do it’s more of a job for an armourorer or gun smith.
@@JonCresswellUk I contacted the school and Sig. So here is the skinny if any SDI student decides to use the Sig Cross for their FTT 104 Gunsmithing tools lab. Removing the bolt is considered field stripping. Detail stripping is disassembly of the bolt and magazine. Removal of the trigger group can only be done by Sig at their facility unless you want to risk voiding the warranty.
@@JonCresswellUk Any suggestions on the Moly Disulfide Anti-seize Lubricant you prefer?
@AndraxusEQ thanks for feeding back. That makes sense. So hopefully the video covered what you need for field and detail stripping 🤞
@AndraxusEQ I’ve not used any anti seize moly (although it is recommended). I tend to use a light coating of Boretech HD grease.
👍
