2:50 of this video will ALWAYS be important to me. I spent weeks trying to find out what the song was... which is 'War' by Poets of the Fall who remain a top-3 favorite group for me 9+ years later.
Maaan, same for me, I couldn't find this song anywhere and it was making me crazy at the time. Potf has been my favorite band since this game came out and I keep coming back to this video to remember how it started

"Story that people have come to expect" Most people these days don't care about story. Everybody plays COD and only multiplayer. I love this game! This is the best game I have ever played.
I personally think that all those 5 years will be worth it, and that Alan Wake will be one of the greatest games ever...

2020 now... Memories :')! I remember watching this trailer before the launch of Alan Wake and getting super hyped up.
Same now we get an excellent remaster with 60 FPS and it’s a great way to revisit a classic game.
Can't wait to play it on the PS5 😍✌ thank you for the remaster! Enjoyed it alot at the xbox360 back in the days 😯

I would SO love for this game to have co-op. Not the main story, of course, but, you know, fight through the levels with a couple of buddies. Get from A to B stuff. WOuld work especially well if it were still Freeroaming. Imagine that!

Man that music that starts at 3.02 is intense! Hope it's on the soundtrack.
This game seems like it will have one of those single player campaigns that are just so much fun and you could watch someone else play for hours. I remember when I used to watch my older brother play the Legend of Zelda series for N64 and it was like reading a really good book.
Alan Wake 2 maybe here sooner than we think. Perhaps not sooner than me thought though...

I admit, these weird 'trailers' that rockstar keeps pumping out where the guy narrating sounds like he is making some kind of marketing pitch are indeed strange, but the game looks great.
Whoaa the faces look better than UC2(which i love btw). I wasn't excited for this game at all before, but this trailer changed me lol
It turns out he's actually in Silent Hill!!! lol. All jokes aside, I'm looking forward to this.

I think what I like about Alan Wake more than Heavy Rain is you can actually play Alan Wake. Heavy Rain was just a bunch of quick time events and scripted action. At least you are actually playing Alan Wake.

this game is gonna kick so much ass that if mario, marcus fenix, link, snake, ryu hayabusa, master chief and all of the patapons joined together to kick alan wakes ass, they would still fail miserably.

to be honest, alan wake was going to be a PC title, but I think that the game itself is going to be aswesome, I mean, alan wake is going to be awesome on xbox 360, and if it comes out someday for pc and even ps3 it is still going to be awesome, so please forget about the console wars, it doesn't make any sense at all, none of us are working for MS or for Sony so relax, enjoy the video and live good

when i first saw this i thought it was stupid but as i watched on it seems like a pretty cool game and the grafics are amazing.

The graphics actual don't look as good as I though. Like when the characters talk theouth are kind of fake but whatever no big. STILL GOING TO BE AWSOME

It was never listed for the PS3. It was originally listed for Xbox360 and Windows Vista, but the Vista plans got canceled. It's exclusive to the 360 alone.
This game needs to come out NOW. Four years of dev is TOO LONG!!

I remember this game showed when xbox 360 was being released like back in 2005. XD
Remedy, I like this game, and I own a 360, but still, please make this game for PS3.

This is the only reason I wish I had a 360.
I know the original concept of Alan Wake was too good to be true. An open world mixed with single player events similiar to games that are just single player; Half-Life, bioshock etc.
they went for the commercial directions and to the mainstream audience. I don´t think "casual gamers" would´ve been able to interpret and enter the open world type of Alan Wake. That´s probably why they chose to remove the open world and release it for Xbox only... so they could post-install stupid DLCs
A 360 exclusive that looks promising enough for me to envy i don't have a 360 :P

They're both very realistic. The difference is their environment, Red Dead Redemption is set in the 1920s-30s' western. It nailed how the westerns looked. Pretty accurate. This game is modeled after today's Washington DC...so far, many people say it nailed the environment pretty well. Even folks from Washington says it feels like looking out past their back yard. That's pretty accurate and realistic if you ask me.
Semi-interested now. Before I thought it was just run around a rural town and shoot stuff.

This game looks nice.
It's not at the same level of yhis gen references (Heavy Rain, GoW3, KZ2 or Uncharted2), but it looks nicer than any other 360 game.

@GodLikeSkillz89 That had nothing to do with putting it on 360. The game worked better as a linear story, and Remedy wanted to make that.

2 years ago there was an epic video game named Alan Wake
it was an Xbox 360 Exclusive and now two years after the realese remedy said that Alan Wake 2 will be for next gen xbox console
sooooo we have to wait and hope that the sequel will be a launch title for the next gen xbox that we see on e3 2013 and hope to see a demo of it on e3 :3

Now having watched both this and the red dead redemption gameplay commercials, I don't know if this is just a joke from remedy. As they say here Remedy is known for the pop-culture references and the obvious copycat trailer would fit that bill perfectly...
@chiibiROXAS : Not just MMO or FPS.. ANY game with good graphics should be solely made for PC. PC games will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS look better than consoles. if you know anything about computers, you know graphics cards are updated very often, and you cannot upgrade graphics on a console. On top of it, they usually use lower quality graphics cards in consoles, which make the game look half as good as PC. I'm sure XBOX 720/PS4/Wii2 will change this though, technology is getting GREAT!! and cheap!

That whole "It's a cinematic thriller vidja gaem" bit must have thrown you folks for a loop. I'd think it would be closer to a well crafted story inside of a third person shooter's body (without a trendy "cover mechanic inside!" sticker)

@nikushachelsea It won't be called Alan wake 2. But they are working on a new title of Alan wake. It's not AW2, But, they are making a sequel.
