The term "warrior" was spot on. Sparky is sometimes forgotten when people talk about United greats, but he was just that. He was skillful, dedicated and as tough as anyone I've seen. Loved watching him for United (and Wales) I'd make the current squad watch a showreel of Mark Hughes!!
Mark was my hero was lucky enough to meet him in the United car park for his autograph great player was loads of times he wasn’t in the team in the program and he came on still played amazing man
Love to have him up front for Utd now. Defenders wouldn't know what to do with him. It wasnt just his goals, his hold up play and passing ability was outstanding
A big rule of mine as a coach is to not fall to the ground, keep your feet or else you are out of the contest and the ball is lost. Modern players just rely on the ref saving their bacons and blushes.

I hope Utd fans of today appreciate Hughes, even though he managed City. I know the older generation of the mid 80s to mid 90s do.
Pure class, everyone says it was mark Robbins that saved Fergie, it was Hughe’s pass that did it, what a special talent ⚽️🥇
My favourite of all Mark Hughes goals was the winner against Barcelona in the Cup Winners Cup final 1991.
Not to forget one against against Oldham
met Hughes at bennys in bury, what a player he's the reason i started going to old Trafford an absolute warrior allways got stuck

A true hardman of the game, but a proper footballer and a world-class one at that.
He could hit a ball, and his volleys. The volley for Wales against Spain in 1984...Unbelievable goal.
Mark is simply the greatest striker to ever play at Man U and also for Wales and who could deny it when you see all the goals he ever scored!

What a striker
Brilliant love your videos 👌👌👌
A gladiator for the REDS, phenomenon talent... and the biggest thighs I've ever seen... pure muscle... pure legend 👌

Utd warrior
When football was played by men
You are a transexual.
Never seen thighs on anyone like Hughsey!
Ooh yeah I loved seeing pictures of him in the Utd programmes my brothers brought home.
Mark Hughes so underrated
Sparky was a bit special.
Irreplaceable
Scorer of great goals but not a great goal scorer.
His goals per game ratio could be better.
How good was football? It's shite now. Boring.
