When you watch this it is easy to see why so many of us did not like watching England under Southgate. The players here are ......running!!! Giving it all they had and, shock horror, playing to win through relentless attacking.
John O Shea was legit man, he was just in a squad with Vidic, Evra, Ferdinand, Neville, even Valencia later on for O Sheas last 2 years at the club. John O Shea ALWAYS got the job done though, whether its The Champions League for United or coming in clutch for Ireland vs Germany with a last minute goal. Chap was an absolute unit
As a playing unit, other than that GK, they - the current batch of players don't even come close to playing like them... This is a team - well trained performance!
@@adam_p99haha yeah was gonna say. Barthez was world class: yes he made obvious errors at United but he was instrumental in the 1994 Marseille UCL winning team and the 1998 France World Cup winning team.
O'Shea could have played as a striker or attacking midfielder. That strike that hit the bar. Remember when he was scoring goals one season and never missed the target. Much more skillful player than you might think.
United not their strongest at this point (2002), Ferguson was building his next squad. Issues with aging squad/goalkeeper/defence. Schmeichel wasn't replaced until we got Van Der Sar, Irwin not replaced until Evra, Stam was not replaced until Vidic. Then we got Ronaldo, Rooney. United in 2005 is the best squad we ever had.
Hated Shearer back in the day. But always admired how good he was. Maybe that was part of the reason why I hared him. Could have played for United but turn it down. His duels with Keane played a part. But man... what a striker he was, there is a reason why he is still the all time goalscorer in the Premier League.
@@LeafGreen906 Solskjaer was actually an amazing player. It always surprises me how much people act like our players were average just to boost Scholes. Look at his assist for the second goal 5:40.
I loved Scholes. What a player. But that ginger little bastard always had his best goal scoring days against us. I went wild when Jenas banged in that cracker. I should of known.
Is Paul Scholes a legit small person ? Or little person ? I don't want to offend of course, but I think he was the most successful dwarf footballer no ?

Great analysis
Holy sheet O Shea dribbling and shooting better than Anthony 😱
That's how terrible it has become

Oshea was left decent! One of our underrated players.
@HeinluckTV yeah, O'shea was really good. I remember his goal against arsenal. Very decent player!
Last time Antony dribbled he was about 6 months old.

The current manager should learn where he goes wrong
But you have to admit, the game has changed now. But nothing against these legends.
You think Onana is as good as barthez?

I remember his goal at Highbury. Brilliant chip.
He was tall and complete
and he even was a stopper once
What a performance. He was a special player
Scholes was quite complete
5:41 this Solskjaer pass was magnificent! First time, outside of the boot. Knew exactly where Scholes should go.

💯
Fergie left before he created the third generation squad
This is when football was at it's peak...
True
It’s glossed over just what a dirty bastard Shearer was.
He was so dirty especially on this particular one
When the commentator said "Still no Gary Speed" 😢
Rip !
Rest legend

Great goal by jenas I wonder what he is upto now
🤣not sure
Jumpy highlights but what a performance from Manu!
Great match
Solskaer as a winger, Giggs on the right, Scholes as a second striker and we still win.
tbf look at Giggs goal with his right foot. He was no slouch on his right. Not to mention he was on the left like half the game.
Anything could work under Sir Alex
ole was first pick at right wing when the assistant coach displaced beckham, he would interchange with scholes and had an incredible season

That elbow from shearer fucking hell
It was a revenge tackle

Hahaha, hockey 🤣🤣
@8:08 Keano giving praise where it's due 👏
Legend indeed
Back in the day when ‘low block’ didn’t exist, open for entertaining football
It was season 2002/03. Also did Newcastle 5-3 at old Trafford earlier in the season.
With Scholes hitting a brace again!
Onana is the new Bartez.

Those men were hard,Today's Players are like Broilers 😂
😅 the bangers scored here are all spectacular
Rest in peace Shearer.
You are high
How shearer lasted the first 10 is madness
Hahaa, he deserved to be removed after the first tackle to Keano
2008 was even better. In the space of seven weeks we did the geordies 6-0 at old Trafford and then 5-1 at st James
Thanks for the details, I'll check and do a video
2008 we were unstoppable.
People don't realise how Dirty shearer was. wish the 2024 team had the same Ethics as this team had
It's a good job Manchester has to team's..😉
Why is Alan Shearer in the title? He was aprt of the team, so he shouldn't be highlighted.
🤣🤣
I think the Newcastle fans clapped Scholes that day.
🤣🤣🤣👌

Moronic question and statement.
I think Shearer was over compensating with the rough stuff as he was still bottling it after Keane went for him the previous season.
