While clearly trying to ride the success of the Donner Musketeer films, and without the budget or A-list cast, the Fifth Musketeer is still a solid entry in the Musketeer franchise ( if you can call it that ) and leagues better than the Disney film that came later. Plus it’s cool to see Alan ‘The Skipper’ Hale off the island for a change. The definitive Man in the Iron Mask adaptation still hasn’t been made yet. Perhaps the recent French crew that just released the two part 3 Musketeers films will give it a shot - I certainly hope so. One can never have enough Three Musketeers for my money.
