Get an expansion tank up high as possible on the cooling system. Preferably on the suction side of the cooling system. Run at least one steam port line to the top of that expansion tank. If you have high spots that will catch air run a port off it. Just a small line. An expansion tank from a 80s-90s Mercedes may be a good option. Bunches of shapes and sizes. To bleed it pull a vacuum from there.
@@Sgt.Slides when the system is pulling from that expansion tank it will pull a small amount back in through the steam ports continuously bleeding it. I rigged my Enduro car with a second tank and got second with a blown headgasket from the start of a 100 lap race. ua-cam.com/video/aJwE8CQDRkE/v-deo.html
Caster is drivers preference honestly, I left mine stock and it takes a little input from me to help. Front on a drift car should have toe out actually as it helps with self steer, you can hammer the wheel well to get more clearance and keep the 17's or add adjust the dampening a little stiffer to compress less if you're set on ride height. Rear being v8 swapped you'll want squat to plant the power.
Massaging out that fender well is a good idea. Thx, i will also consider running some toe out in the front. Unfortunately, I still have cheap-o coil overs on the car and i can't adjust dampening, so i'm going for a stiffer spring and a touch more ride height. In time i'd like to put a det of BC's on it, but i need the car to prove its self before i start putting nice parts on it. Believe it or not, this is a budget build and I did really well on costs. As far as the rear goes, the car is SUPER grippy right now, and fast, but with the power of a stock 302, i wont mind dialing out a little grip to make the drive a bit smoother, so im going stiffer in the rear as well. As the car evolves, i may add grip in later.
I think Taylor ray channel should help you with most of your problems he has a similar bulid and I think he had similar problems.. like your channel keep up the work
the correct bump steer kit is coming, but i also suspect there may be an issue with the rack. there are a couple of things i can try before i replace the rack.
Just stumbled across the channel man, I dig the content, keep up the good work.

Thx Jason!

Project car life is crazy...I hope your able to make those wheels work..17s are big for a Miata.. Good progress and Video Though..👍🏽🏁
I think your wondering may actually be the wheels rubbing when the wind resistance pushes the front of the car down.

the only thing thats similar between my car and taylor is the diff that we run. set ups are totally diferent
He’s so cute 🥰
Pull out the BFH and get to work on those wheel wells?
👍💪💯
Lisle spill free funnel for burping the coolant system
i have it, it didnt quite do the trick.
@@Sgt.Slides not being a smart alec but did you use a piece of hose to raise the funnels height so it obviously higher than rest of coolant system?
Have you checked Bumpsteer issues?
