Even though I already have AI, Stealth, Silver Centurion, and Modular Ironman figures for my Ironman armory, I have to consider on getting this Alex Ross mark 70 armor Ironman because I really love the design and I think he is awesome with the way HASBRO designed him in figure form, Fantastic review Xcorpeo.
Wow that panel lining absolutely saves this figure. I was really underwhelmed by the promos for this guy compared to how beautiful Alex Ross’s MK 70 design is. That little bit of dark contrast makes that sculpt work pop
Wow your panel lining really brings out the sculpt. As another of your viewers said, I think I'd go with Dark Red for the lining. I enjoy watching you improve a figure's articulation. Great work. A good looking Iron Man. I'm undecided about the large white discs on the arms and legs. The larger eye slits and faceplate design really remind me of Skeletor.
Wow this is a seriously well put together and detailed review. Just wow. It has absolutely helped me come to a decision as to whether or not I will buy this one
Nice review and modifications 👍 definitely improved the figure and brings those sculpted details to the surface 🔥 Iron Man is always going to be a regular in Marvel Legends because it’s a fan favorite character and their is so many different armors they’ve yet to do from the comics and animated show. Hope to see a repaint of Modular suit in classic red/yellow paint similar to 20th anniversary ML figure 👀
Lacklustre - thank you for that. Great review - one of the most extensive I have seen. When compared with the other Legends, he looked like the most "toy"-ish out of the rest. Then you customized it and you transformed it into a product I would pay Hasbro the money they are asking for.
Great review! And excellent modifications! I love Iron Man and can’t wait for this figure. So cool to get a Legends figure of an Iron Man armor while it is still current in the comics!
I like the fig more with the mods you have done, I would use a dark red color instead. I don't think this Iron Man will sell well since it is not an Iconic look yet, so I will wait for it to be on sale. Thanks! great vid.
NO SHARPIE! It has alcohol and will ruin the plastic over time. Gundam markers are oil based and safe. They do take time for the ink to "set" in, but that means u can use a rubber eraser to lightly scrub off any mistakes
This is exactly what I wanna do with my Iron Man it looks sooo much better! What size was the pen that you used? I always wanna through it when some markers to give him a shinier coat. Great video!😁
Hi - I love your video/review and the way you throw in some quick mods to improve the figures always fun to see - I’m going to do the sunfire elbow mod for sure. Any idea of the torso mod can be done on the new spidey retro body? Mainly I wanna separate the upper torso to paint it easier for a custom. And I’d love to be able to pop it off the body like this if it’s possible
I think Spidey's torso has sufficient range so I never popped it off. That said, popping is easy if one of the parts is the softer plastic. However, Spidey torso is all hard plastic, so be careful and don't force it
I don't know why hasbro uses just single ball joints when double ball joins would give some of this figures more range of articulation with minimun modifying
Lots of pros like a the overall articulation and sculpting. But the lack of painting and panel lining mean I will probably not be purchasing one at retail
The joint of the right fist on my copy is completely unable to move at all. Would be nice to get some tips. Edit: turns out that the fist mold was just completely messed up, as every time I try to move the joint, the fist looks like it’ll split apart at the seems.
Shows that if hasbro put in just the slightest bit of effort we could get decent figs. But nah they'd rather keep reusing the same molds over and over again and putting next to no paint on them and charging 30- 40 dollars.
The lines are recessed, so they are less likely to be rubbed off. Next, leave the figure to sit for a day or two, and the plastic will absorb the lining. What u don't see is that I filmed this over 3 days 😉
@@legendsfigure5475 oh lmao I learned after this that it was just an error that had some interior art in the first twelve issues appearing red instead of gold... And that they since went back to depicting it as gold. Oops. Thanks!
The panel lining really improves this figure but I still think hasbro should have gone with the colors of the modular and 80th iron man.
Dude this articulation segment is pure gold. I wish all of the reviewers I follower would do exactly what you did in this vido

Yep! Though I do like my other Iron Man armors as-is, this one needed something extra

"Reminds me of Alex Ross" ??? Dude it is Alex Ross' art and heck he designed this Model 70 armor
9:06 use the 20th anniversary tony stark head, in the comics when he wears that suit he got his mullet and his small mustache back.
Awesome modifications and a first-rate review of Iron Man and his cool accessories!
Thanks so much! I was figuring this could use a wash but your approach is even better!

Awesome! I will line my as soon he arrives! Thanks man!
I love your mods, really make these figures look better.
Awesome review as usual!

I only collect IronMan and his rogues so this is perfect.

With your username I wouldn't have guessed u love Iron Man 😜
Those mods makes it so much better, but I feel you. I'm Iron Manned out. Glad it doesn't come with a BAF piece.
Great review! I hope they rerelease this mold in a dark red and gold.
I did the same panel lining technique with the Ultron figure and I like it for sure
That red makes it look too toyish. Such a good sculpt put down by lack of paint. Another great review! Keep it up :)
It is a toy though.
the panel lining really worths!
Love your videos bro keep up the great work
Great video and improvements. May I ask, how well does the panel lining hold up over time??
It's good!

And it WILL go on sale. There's two per case and collectors don't need it to build the BAF
Yeah I would not buy, unless I did what you did. Solid work.
Looks great with the panel lining! Is there anything special about that marker you used? I have a super fine permanent Sharpie here. Would that do?
NO SHARPIE! It has alcohol and will ruin the plastic over time. Gundam markers are oil based and safe. They do take time for the ink to "set" in, but that means u can use a rubber eraser to lightly scrub off any mistakes
@@xcorpeo Thanks for the advice man. I won't use a Sharpie!
Nice Job. 👍🏾

This has a good chance going to clearance (being the extra figure in the case without a BAF part) so u won't have to worry 😉
@@xcorpeo lol thats a good point. you can still find the modular armor easy and it was the same for that years old wave.

where could I get that pen? if you don't mind me asking.
Amazon.
How do you keep the black lines from being erased by touching?

Anybody else bothered by how it doesn't really match the Alex ross art? The lower jaw is gold when it should not be. Fucking suck. 0 outta 10 lmao
