- When Mrs Orcutt's driveway to Route 66 was cut off by the Eisenhower Interstate System, she bargained for a solution that resulted in a 4 mile long strip of asphalt being laid to connect her back to the road system. The perfectly straight driveway became a haven for fast cars and speed tests.

Great stuff as always. I'm sure she had no idea the legend she'd become. Was that your dog at the beginning or have wild dogs moved into the the house?
No, that was Sarge. He showed up with two guys in a pickup who had a walk around the property while I was there... He also had fun exploring though
Lol , too funny. She was something else! Thank you for the content.
Always has the perfect content to watch while I eat lunch
High praise, thanks for watching!
Great story! Thanks 🙏.
I can almost imagine it I’m sure it was a lovely home once
Fascinating thank You !:-)
My pleasure!
Excellent video' very cool place and glad I came across your channel. Liked and subbed.
Awesome, thank you!
I find it barely credible that your videos receive so few ‘Likes’. Hoping that changes . However, knowing the public’s’ ‘Likes’ ……👍🏻🏴🇬🇧 Well done with all of them. Thoroughly researched, beautifully filmed and mostly’Off the beaten path’ as regards their history. ✌️
Thank you for that. I appreciate it!
Had the briefest moment of "did I click on the wrong video", ha! Really cool to hear about, I love old houses alongside highways
It was a gamble with the intro, but I figured people would enjoy it
Great story, and by story i mean history of this impressive woman. Well done Sir.
Thank you!
Sad story. Wish it had a better ending. Oh well that’s life.
What an interesting story
very interesting, any vintage pictures of her home from the day?
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any and I did a lot of digging
Is she associated with the Orcutt family (Orcutt Ranch) in the San Fernando Valley of SoCal.
I don't believe so, as she was from Indiana but I believe her husband was from the Rockies or Pacific Northwest.
I would be less reluntant to respond to you polls if you asked them in you videos and we responded in the comment section. FYI
Good to know, thanks
