Wow, John, nice long play on $100. Thanks for the great video. I wish you luck on the next $100. You did get a couple of Royal chances. That's great in my book. Thanks again.
Wow, that’s so exciting! I haven’t seen, an Aces & Faces, game for a long time now, but I hear that it’s a good game to play. Great job, hitting that Dealt Royal. Sweet!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hi, Linda, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Skip & I will head north to pick-up, Slotmassacre, at Yaamavá, on our way to Vegas in a few weeks. It’ll be good to make the rounds again with the Crew. Take care. Hope to see you at Pala again one of these days soon! Have fun!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Greetings from a wet and rainy Torrance! Wow! That was still a fun session! Mom got to watch it and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to see you with "The Crew" again taking money from the casinos in Vegas. I can't wait to get back out there again, but its still going to be a couple of months. I'm hoping the next time I see you, you will have another 10 Royals under your belt! Take care sir!
Hi, Paul. I thank, you & your Mom, for liking and always commenting on my videos. I hope she is healing & feeling better with here foot. Before you know it, you’ll both be back at Pechanga knocking out those wins. It’ll be great to see you two back in the casinos again and I look forward to that. Take care. I appreciate your good wishes!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Nice informative video & great run on the $100. Those annoying distractions can cost you. I hope one day Jo & I can meet up with you & the group again in Vegas. Thanks again for helping put Paul & us together as we met up with his family twice last year in Vegas. Say Hi to the better half & keep up the great work! 👍
Thank you, Mark & Jo, for your comments, your loyal support, and your friendship. I hope we can meet again in Vegas with the guys, once again too. I’m glad that your family and Paul’s family have become good friends. Enjoy!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
9/6 JoB, is a great game (especially at the higher denominations). It’s not a thrill game, per se, but it is very reliable and essential to mix-in with 8/5 BP to squeeze out the wins in a session. Take care my friend.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
John, I completely agree. If flushes are hitting then I’ll hold the flush draw. But, if they’re not, I hold the pair. Same in double double or triple double. I only hold one pair unless full houses are hitting. Everyone talks about long term return, but if you run out of money and can’t play anymore, long term doesn’t matter.
I realize that the long term strategy is “the right way” to play, but if the “4 to the flushes” are constantly missing and the 2’s, 3’a, & 4’s Bonus Quads are showing-up within those flush-draws (I’ll play them instead). And really, when you think about it, how “often” are there 2’s, 3’s, & 4’s showing-up in those flush-draws anyway where it makes much of an impact on long term strategy to begin with, right? So, I do “gamble” with the odds occasionally, just as you do! Plus, I’m more interested in the “Big Money Play” too, just as you are!🙌🏻😝🙌🏻🌎
Hey John! 🤜 💥 🤛 Yeah I can’t sit next to someone that keeps hitting max bet every hand. I get it if they do it occasionally to change the RNG timing, but not every hand! I was actually filming and walking towards you and then that guy jumped up for his royal 24:34
Yes….I thought about that too (since I was recording a video) but I just kept going anyway rather than move to another area of the casino where, perhaps the music is too loud, or that I may possibly be near a winning Blackjack table on a run where everybody’s screaming. Such is life in the casino world. It was nice seeing you the other night at, Pechanga, Kevin. Always fun to re-connect. Stay in touch my friend. And have a great trip too that you mentioned.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Yes….I got a lot of mileage out of that $100 Bill. I had to really wrestle with the sound to try and mitigate the music in the background or this video may have been flagged for copyright claims. It’s such a chore, but I’m working on it. Thank you for your viewership and comments.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@joanfraser6500 Thank you, Joan. It’s been quite a while since I last played video poker with Slotmassacre in June of 2023 in Reno. It’ll be like old times. Thanks for watching and commenting.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I don't mind your conversations during play. Trips kept you going on this session. You got more than I would expect. The music was distracting for you, but I could not hear it at all. Must be the way you set up the sound on this one.
Thank you for your encouraging words. Yes, I had to try and “dial-back” the background music to avoid copyright strikes, although I don’t mind the music in the casino. Luckily, I was successful in doing that on this video. It can be a real chore, sometimes, in getting that done. Thank you for your comments and viewership.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hi John, What video poker simulator do you recommend? I had one on my old phone but it didn’t transfer over. I need to get ready for Green Valley Ranch and Durango next week!
There used to be good phone app simulators such as Zamzow (and others that preceded it), but phones are evolving so quickly that they aren’t compatible with the old apps any more. Perhaps your best bet would be to join www.videopoker.com. They have a lot of simulator play with their subscription. Good luck with it. Please let me know how it goes.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Holding 1 high card to the Royal has a 1/178,365 chance of hitting it, which means, that on average, you’d have to hold a single high card 178,365 times in order to hit just 1 Royal Flush (on average). It’s actually in the player’s favor to hold 2 off-suit high cards in order to hit: JoB’s, or 2 pair, or trips, or a full house or a Quad, to preserve the bankroll “long enough”, with better odds, of hitting a Royal, on the 3 to the Royal, or the 4 to the Royal hands that come along due to having the bankroll last longer by playing the 2 off-suit high cards.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
When a machine is in the dumps and no hands are hitting "by the rules", that is a great time to change strategy. In those cases, I think the machines actually reward incorrect play.
Yes…I totally agree, and I’ll get off really quick if a machine is completely “tanking” hand after hand after hand at the very beginning. In this session, since it wasn’t straying too far from the “starting bankroll” I stayed with it (hoping for more Quads, a Straight Flush or a Royal). It’s not very thrilling, and you’re right, I’ll usually just leave the machine and go find another, but the casino was crowded, the music was too loud, plus I was set-up to film in the quietest spot that I could find that not, so my options were somewhat limited. But absolutely you make a very good point & recommendation; when the machine is “lackluster” go find one that’s hitting! Thank you, for pointing that out because it’s right on target. I wish that I had made mention of that idea in the video. Thank you, Joe. That’s an excellent comment.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I usually do, but the, Jacks or Better, was at least staying even, and prior to filming, the Bonus Poker, wasn’t faring, too well on that machine (as seen in the video prior to this video from the same session), so I just stuck with it. That $100 was won from Pala slots free play (since Pala doesn’t allow free play on their video poker machines (bummer!😢). Thank you for your comments and viewership. You brought-up a good point.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
To each his own, but I did gradually forget about it myself as it blended into the background noises of the casino, but I knew that it would irritate viewers wanting to watch a video with relative ease. That was a once in a blue moon situation anyway.😊🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I know exactly how that feels...however, sooner or later, a momentum-shift occurs and great hits can be come-by. Good luck! Thank you for your viewership & comments.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hi, Tony, Slotmassacre & I and others in the original crew will be in Vegas on March 7, 8, & 9, if you happen to be in Vegas. Would love to meet with you. If not, perhaps another time this year. Take care!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Yes, I agree, it was such a bummer, but, it was crowded, and my moving, would have meant getting closer to where the music was even louder and would have bled into the video causing copyright strikes (which I’m forced to avoid like the plague). You would think that she would recognize the annoyance (since I was filming not too far away from her) but she was oblivious to her surroundings at the time. I’m even embarrassed to hit max-betting (each and every play) in a crowded casino, let alone sitting close-by or next to someone filming. Hopefully, I don’t run into that situation very often. Between that noise & the Pterodactyl screeches, (from Caveman Keno) I have my work cut out for me.😁Thank you for your comments and viewership.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@RPMCanes What the viewers are getting at is, that, the player, should hit the Max-bet button to “start” the game, but then, thereafter, to use the regular Deal button, so as NOT to trigger the constant “beep, beep, beep, beep, beep” which is heard every time the player hits the Max-bet button, instead of just using the Deal button to Max-bet automatically. If you listen to my video, you’ll hear a lady near me hitting the max-bet button (beep, beep, beep, beep, beep) each and every time she Deals a new hand (which is noisy and bothersome to other nearby players) or she could just use the regular Deal button (that makes no beep, beep, beep, beep, beep sound) when pushed, as it too, also Max-bets the hand being played.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Crap, that's what I've been doing the whole time. I didn't know that hitting Max bet once would keep it at Max bet. Thanks for the tip. -
@RPMCanes You’re welcome. Perhaps, that lady playing, didn’t realize it either, but I didn’t want to say anything because maybe she likes playing it that way. But it can be somewhat bothersome to other players on very long sessions. Oh well, no real harm done, anyway.😊🙌🏻🌎
I completely agree with you. In this case, however, I had won $100 from free play on their Pala slots (since they don’t “allow” free play on video poker machines), and when that happens, I usually run those slot-wins through their video poker machines (to try and get an even better return) running that “slot-win money” through them. I hit a couple of $2,000 jackpots (near the end of 2023), last year, leveraging slot-wins through the video poker machines on their lower denominations (albeit with poorer pay tables) but I tend to quickly focus on transitioning to the $1 coin denomination (if the cards are flopping my way) where they feature 9/6 Jacks or Better & 8/5 Bonus Poker pay tables. I could have taken their $100 and “gone up the hill” to Pechanga (which has great pay tables at the lower denominations) but, Pechanga, rarely lets me film there. So, I’m sort of stuck conceding a “little more House edge” to Pala casino, for now, by filming there (at least on the lower denominations). But, Yes, you’ll be seeing higher denomination play from my channel, on better pay tables at Pala, as we go along here in 2024. Thanks, as always, for your comments, Kirt. Sometime this year, you & I, need to make the rounds at Pala & Pechanga again. I enjoy your insights, experiences, & our conversations while playing video poker with you. Take care, my good friend.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Than you for the response which does make sense. I would really like to get together again. Most Tuesdays I play in the morning at Pala and then go to Pechanga to collect free play (an this month an added wheel for free play) and play. I have been having good luck at both places.
I was hoping for at least a few Quads from it, but such is life of a video poker player. A few days later in the High Limit, (when I was NOT filming), it was dishing-out Quads, right & left. Go figure! Thank you, for your comments.🙌🏻🌎🌎
Thank you for that, Michael, that makes me feel better about it. I needed to cover-up the ambient background music to avoid copyright claims, but I also don’t want to crossover into being “too chatty” on my videos. I appreciate your comment.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Stupid background music! I love this methodical approach, almost scientific, to video poker. Do you ever feel like your choices of cards are somehow effecting the cards you get on the draw? Or is it just a RNG timing of hitting "the button"?
Eventually, I’ll figure out a way to effectively eliminate the issues with background music, but it is tedious at times. In regards to card selection, the RNG is continually shuffling the cards at lightening speed for the remaining spots, for the cards you need. Because of the extreme speed of the RNG, the cards that you need are “always there”, & in a millisecond, they are “always NOT there” and then they’re back back again! The player always has a legitimate chance of getting the cards that they need. Sooner or later, those cards hit. The beauty of video poker is that the player doesn’t have to wait approximately 43,000 hands to hit a Royal. They can happen at “any” time. This is totally due to the “random” nature of the RNG. Happy Royal Flush Hunting and, Thank you, for your comments.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Yes, indeed, and, Slotmassacre, deserves it! He inspired a whole nation of like-minded video poker players with his channel. He completely changed the direction of my life, and influenced countless others, in the process. Long live, Slotmassacre!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Tunbe out the person playing that keep using the max bet button over DEAL.😁

how come every time i use a betting method like this i eat the duds on above min beats and then i eat the jackpots when im at the weakest bet?
