Your doing a great job Matt, keep it up. Great to see that you are saving another HSV. Its also worth checking the outer seal/trim that runs along the bottom of the window as they can leak if the seal onto the glass is compromised.

It’s 2 bolts and the line to take the calliper off . Clamping the lines and removing would make it easier to paint them.
Check the chrome strips along the outside of your windows, the seals may be perished letting in water. They just click into place so easy to replace them.

      Yes thanks for the tips.
Removing calipers and clamping hoses or touching brake lines etc is not something everyone knows how to do and this series is a restore rebuild on a limited budget. Very easier to remove the calipers for sure but not everyone would do that or touch brakes , if they dont know what they are doing.
Ive also done a video on how to remove the chrome strips off the doors, on my VF GTS , in the hints and tricks videos play lists. very easy to do yes agreed

door should have a drain hole in it to clear the water, its normal for a little water to come in through the top and drain out.
Seems like thats blocked and needs a clear out with a coat hanger or something.
That Non-slotted rotor looks like its so worn its actually worn off the slot compared to the other side. I would measure the thickness of the two with vernier calipers and make sure they are within tolerance.

Yes water can get into the doors of most vehicles but it should not be pooling in there , hence the video to see why its pooling . The rotors are going to be changed anyway soon but yes the are very worn by the looks . Like the rims the amount of kurb bashes on them the previous owner took no care or didnt know how to drive

Gorgeous cars mate! I enjoy watching all your videos. Previous owner must be a poor driver with all the wheel damage. Weird having different front brake rotors.😂

@CurtisLSA You done a fantastic job of the calipers i just don't understand the previous owners logic in replacing 1 brake rotor😂
