Day 2 after cast removal- distal radius & ulna w/ volar locking plate a good but of soft tissue damage as well. These exercises are very encouraging. I was feeling like I could never get my strength back. Will be going these diligently
Thanks, a lot. It is really helpful and useful. I appreciate the simple way of giving instructions and information. I follow the instructions and have an excellent recovery from the radius fracture. God bless you Ismail
Hey Michelle I am 6 months post broken wrist and doing very well thanks to your advice and videos 😊could you give me your opinion on the power ball/ gyro ball for exercising wrist and arm thank you
You might like to try a product I am using called Handmaster Plus. I really like it. It comes with 2 grip balls and 4 resistance bands. It's really affordable . I found it I n online but have also c seen it in catalog that sells all kinds of products .
It can be very helpful for wrist stability if that is what you feel you need. But you can try putting a ball in a bowl or cup and try circling it around to get a similar feeling.
Hey Michelle, i have distal radius fracture on 28th of August and i had surgery with K wires on 30th August. So doc said post surgery 6 weeks he will remove plaster cast and after that post 2 weeks k wires will be removed. I am able to move my fingers inside cast but not able to move thumb backward. Doctor said it's because of k wire. And i have elbow pain too and i am not able to Fully stretch it out, doc said there's not any fracture or injury it's just because of shock , what do you think about it?
I had the same. Fracture radius and ulna on the 4th Oct. Had K wire too like yours. Cast and Kwire removed on the 7th week. What u are experiencing was same to mine too.. Started physio but I noticed Michelle's video is more easier and because it applies to my daily activity, its easier rather than in the physio session I had, forced exercise so it's more stressful.
@@ghaliyaurs6965 Yes gradually it will, Be patient and give it time . I am fully recovered now and doing good ... See one thing is that 4-5% stiffness will still be there even after you are fully recovered because natural is natural , otherwise you will be good to go , no issues .

Hi Michelle, I had Distal Radius Fracture left hand wrist surgery 1 month back. Still in recovery mode though Swelling is there and can't twist wrist now. I believe it will improve slowly as it progresses, it's improved over last one month though. I have a question regarding Hand tremors shaky left hands. Is it result of the distal radius fracture wherein I had implant inserted. I am very concerned on these shaky hands. Will the exercises advised by you help in hand tremors as well. I am 55 years old never had these symptoms earlier. Pls advise if it's due to the wrist surgery and due to anything other problem. And that the exercises advises by you for building grip, help in controlling Shaky left hand fingers as well. Thanks in advance
so helpful with recovery! Thank you Michelle!

Where can I buy these slow foam blocks?
I feel like kneading bread dough would be good for this too! Great for my wrist, bad for my waistline LOL
On an average How long will it take?
How long after surgey can you start this?

Still in a cast. But I can tell that squeezing is going to be challenging at first.
I found it very painful to the exercise even after three days of taking off the cast
