Chunky bombers have good defence 95% of the time. I’ve been on crazy kill streaks with the H8K, H6K, and PBM Mariner. And unless we are being generous to the H8K, those don’t even get close to the absolute gunships that are the BV-238 and Be-6 which I unfortunately don’t have.

There was once a time i belly landed a sunderland on a dirt runway after my tail control had been knocked out, after having killed at least two planes in the process
So I have actually been having a lot of fun using the PBM lately. It has all 50 Cal turrets which makes it pretty decent for Defense and it can soak up a lot of damage from small arms in the mid section. As long as you engage enemies from like 1200 yards out your 50s will be affective and giving you time to try to knock out the plane or make them go away. I’ve had a few times where I knock out one and critical the other one and drive him off when there’s two on my tail.
