    Thanks for the upload guys, and yes, Danaerys, Viserys (idiotic brother we saw in early seasons), and Rhaegar (eldest child who died during Robert's rebellion years before this) are all siblings and children of the mad king, Aerys. So Jon would be Danaerys' nephew.

    Yes you can watch that video that was suggested, but in my opinion only after season 7. In the end of season 7 there will be a big reveal anyway on screen, so there is no reason to spoil it earlier. Its actually fine for viewers not to realize everything in time, it makes the surprises better and thus the reaction better. I prefer that, to getting spoilers guys. Avoid comments and spoilers. Its too much , watch the show first. Why spoil? Just enjoy.

    The Hound was always good. He protected Sansa numerous times. Remember he saved her from getting raped. And Tyrion said thank you. And the Hound said "I didn't do it for you." And then he offered to take her home and keep her safe. And he respected her wishes when she turned him down. At the very beginning he protected Lauras Tyrell from his brother killing him. And then he protected Arya. He's always been good.

    • @Ash16180
      @Ash16180 Рік тому +5

      I wouldn't say good, more of a grey character. You can call it good by GoT standards. He had no problem murdering the kid in episode 2 when ordered to. There are very few I would call good in GoT - the Starks, Tyrion, Varis and a few smaller characters.

    • @Ash.Crow.Goddess
      @Ash.Crow.Goddess 11 місяців тому

      I see your points. But, if you're going to call Varys Good, then so is the Hound. Remember when Varys says he would have to order people's death, and he told himself "I'm not the one doing it." He ordered Danerys' death. Danerys was totally innocent at that point. If you're calling Varys good, you've got to give it to the Hound, too. And I don't want to spoil anyone, but you know what Tyrion winds up doing. He's even more problematic in the books. In this world, people have to kill people. That's all there is to it. Robb sent 2000 soldiers to their deaths. Really and truly the only ones who are good are Jon, Sansa, and Bran. And Arya, maybe. And Ser Davos. Shireen. Maester Aemon. Maester Luwen. Missandei and Gilly. Jojen and Meera. Pod and Brienne. Ned, of course. Gendry. Ok, there's a few really good characters. But you are also correct about them being grey characters. But the thing is, they are ALL grey characters. George Martin writes characters grey. He says the only thing worth writing about is "the human heart in conflict with itself." To me, that doesn't mean someone isn't good. You can be grey, and still choose good most of the time. It's hard to see the Hound like that. Because he's always grumpy and grouchy. But I still firmly believe he is good.

      @@Ash.Crow.Goddess I think it’s fairly obvious that he’d been commanded to kill plenty of people that didn’t really deserve to be killed during his time in kings landing. There’s no way that one kid is all he was ever responsible for killing. The way he clearly enjoys and states that he enjoys killing, it all paints a very clear picture. His desire to help Sansa and Arya was predominantly fueled by being paid for it, not out of the goodness of his heart. He clearly changed a bit by the end of the series and cared about Arya but at the end of the day, there’s no way a man like him hasn’t killed more than one innocent

    Tommen betrayed Cersei by taking away trial by combat. He betrayed Jaime by sending him away after he tried to help free Margaery from The High Sparrow. So yes, he betrayed them.

      Tommen was manipulated into taking away the trial by combat. He was too young / trusting / kind and gentle for Kings Landing. Had Tywin been alive Tommen would've had the best Hand he could ask for instead he had to settle for Tywin's brother Kevan who was always living in Tywin's shadow. Also he had bumbling Mace Tyrell on his Council and sycophant Pycelle.

    • @daniig62
      @daniig62 11 місяців тому +2

      @@0307scott I don’t exactly call it betrayal for the reasons you said, he was naive and manipulated. When someone betrays someone, it’s intentional and done with malice. I don’t believe tommen intended malice towards his mother, just surrounded by the wrong people and ironically, his mother would have been the best one to listen to in his situation. But she played the biggest part in her own situation of “betrayal”. Her stupidity with arming religious fanatics led to all her problems, she’s responsible for his death. I remember thinking that something was clearly going to happen regarding the trial by combat being eradicated and it’s insane that she didn’t consider that possibility.

    I liked that Arya spared Kitty Frey. I don't think it was just to spread the news - I think Arya recognized that Kitty was also an innocent victim of Walder, (and wasn't even his wife at the time of the Red Wedding). Not only was I glad for Kitty, I was glad for Arya - it showed that even while she was taking vengeance, she was capable of being restrained and fair. I admit until then I'd been worried about her possibly descending into madness, but that scene reassured me she was still Arya, and still in control.

    Fun fact, it's heavily-implied in the book "Fire and Blood" that Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion were born in Dragonstone before they were stolen centuries before all this. Their mother was Dreamfyre, the dragon of Queen Rhaena Targaryen whose 3 eggs were stolen and sold by her lover Elissa Farman so she can sail to west of Westeros.

    R+L=J was a rumor among the fandom for years as it wasn't in the books yet. People had figured it out and that was a very prominent idea. When the ep confirmed what people thought, it was a big "yep" from many. The first time we had seen that shown since it wasn't in the books. Amazing.

  • @markharris1125
    @markharris1125 Рік тому +2

    The thing about the R+L=J video: it's not to explain something that the show didn't. All those who piled in last time (and to be be fair, I was one of them) were a bit annoyed that you'd talked over things and hadn't grasped the important facts.
    But this would have been a complete surprise to many people, who had bought into the Ned-cheating-on-Cat story, as we all did. The R+L=J video just goes back (no spoilers) over the show and shows a few hints that were given along the way, because the writers knew all along. The information was given to the writers by GRRM himself.
    I don't think you need to watch it, now you know what you know.

There seems to be some coming and going from Braavos, but even then, if you borrow money from the Iron bank, they don't have to send the physical gold across the sea.
      The captain who took Arya back to Braavos with him seemed to have been trading salt. Several times the show mentions prostitutes in Westeros having come from Essos. Sansa was eating lemon cakes in that one episode. I'd assume they came across the sea. And wine and beer are probably traded. I think that wine seller who tried to poison Dany was selling wine from Westeros. There's some mention of skins being traded, too. Other than that, I guess there's just not a whole lot to trade. Notice both Sansa (S6) and Cersei (S7) used nearly the same words to LF and Euron.
    There will be another maybe you will catch it.

    The funny thing about Arya killing all the Freys is now they have to release Edmure Tully.
    He is again the lord of the Riverlands and now also the Twins.
    Rob forcing him to marry Freys daughter in the end, literally made him the most powerful lord in the North other than the Starks.

    Robert baratheon and lyanna were never married they were engaged. Ned lied saying he cheated but really he was protecting Jon from being murdered if Robert found out lyanna had raegars son. Cat stark had 1 sister and a brother. Raegar and daenerys are brother and sister which would make Jon and Dany aunt and nephew

    “If I have to watch a video explaining something, then as far as I’m concerned, the show doesn’t want me to know yet.” That was my whole point, but it seems everyone disagrees with that take and wanted to spoil it.

    Next 2 seasons are crap for different reasons(like 'fast paced' , 'story could've been better',etc.), but it's definitely not boring and not like you'll not enjoy that

    GRRM is somewhat more persistent in the books, when it comes to dangling the existence of Lyanna Stark in front of us, compared to what the show provides. Some other plausible candidates for Jon’s mother are included in the books, though, so it’s not too on-the-nose about the answer either.
    The truly biggest takeaway for this episode: Gilly is sitting there reading a book. She now knows considerably more than S. 😄

    I really wanted to see Arya opening the dungeon doors and free her Uncle Edmure, but no dice! I think that would have been a cool scene.
