OMG, That's DARK!
....lol....
"He needs to step up" - excellent comedic timing
Daddy Davos going off on the Red Women, after seeing it 30 something times, still gives me chills. He loved Shireen so much.
Si, no matter how many times you see it, your heart always hurts, Sweet Shireen, and it bothers me even more that this will happen in the books too.
SHE WAS GOOD
SHE WAS KIND
AND YOU KILLED HER!!!!!
@@maleala2048 incredible acting!

“Light of the seven”.. I listen to this song all the time. Cruising in the car, getting ready to go out.. anytime
Say what you want about the quality of the show toward the end. One thing that remains S tier is the work from Ramin Djawadi
His mastery is such an important component to Game of Thrones
Ramin Djawadi nunca decepciona
The issue with the last 2 seasons is they needed like 4 more episodes to flesh things out.
The producers were done.
They just wanted to finish it.
The last 2 weren't bad, they just felt rushed.
There's actually only one thing that went downhill in season 7 and 8.. The writing. Everything else was S tier.
My alarm cloaks are set to his pieces from Westwood season 2 … he is amazing
9:40 "he needs to step up as a king" well he did took a step up... just to go down right after.
Oh, I had to hold my breathe for that one.
Step up and step out.
I was thinking that too....
Poor Tommen.
*_If you only remember one comment from your entire GOT journey, let it be this one:_*
Do. Not. Let. Anyone. sully this unique, 1st time viewing experience for you! If you had taken all those early negative comments seriously, you would’ve never made it thru 6 seasons. . .& I would bet big $$$$ that you have at least 7-8 more powerfully-impactful
*_“Ned’s beheading”,_*
*_“Red Wedding”,_*
*_”Mountain vs Oberyn”,_*
*_”Battle of the Bastards”,_*
*_”Purple Wedding”,_* -type moments still ahead! Personally, 5 of my favorite all-time GOT scenes haven’t happened yet. Most of us would kill a Stark, a Martell, a Lannister & a Baratheon for a chance to experience this for the 1st time again😅
We’re loving going thru this with y’all. Tune out ANY negativity (for now) & enjoy this ride, family!!! #TeamOctober
Thank you!!! I hate these folks who keep telling them how awful it’s about to get - like shutup & let them have this experience organically! Sheesh.

Already💯
I wish all those folks were attending Cersei’s trial at the Great Sept.
❤️❤️❤️ can’t wait for the rest we love this show
"Is she gonna off herself" Mr. October, you're so sweet, underestimating Cersei
She underestimated the plot holes lol.
I laughed out loud when he guessed that
@urabusxrw04 maybe a bit of a Sweet Summer Child still? Hee hee. Well the white dove came. WINTER IN HERE!!!!
Hey there, Mamakat!
@@--ArcAngel-- Hey Angel!!!
Arya Stark avenged the Red Wedding. Best moment of the series for me.
I remember back when first watching this episode, the scene where Bronn commented about all the serving girls fawning over Jaime, I noticed that one of them wasn't grinning like a fool, but giving him the side-eye. I turned to the friend I was watching it with and said: "Shit! I think that might be Arya wearing a face!" You can imagine how pumped I was when it did turn out to be her. 😃
bs writing
Cersei having her little sip of wine while everybody blows up is the coldest moment of all time.
such a cool moment, but I never root for her again in the show after this moment.
and the smirk lol
the little breeze from the distant explosion lightly blowing her hair is just *chef's kiss*
Probably the greatest episode in any TV show
AGREED. And that ending scene with that particular musical score was-GREAT.
Nah Breaking Bad had the best episode of TV ever with Ozymandias.
Disagree@@dsfddsgh
I can`t hear this stupid claim anymore. It`s not even the best episode of GoT, not even the best in this season.
I agree, Episode 9 was better. I would say maybe 9 and 10 were the best b2b episodes of TV ever tho. I remember watching these when they dropped and I believe the quality of these 2 episodes is a big reason people hated the ending so much. They were coming off this incredible high only to see the entire pace of the show change and the ending completely rushed.
This show shouldve been 10 seasons. We were robbed of 4 full seasons of great storytelling.
That was a brilliant watchalong with you two!
Ramin Djawadi gifted us with another musical gem with this opener. That piano opener was hypnotic.
Mr October: “He needs to step up as king.”
Me: “Oh he’s gonna step up alright” 😩😩😂

Pls watch the clips of R+L=J who is Jons mother! Every clue you missed in the show... season 1-5!❤ Greetings from Germany
It's the first time I think the reactors don't need it. They didn't miss much.
Isn't there stuff from future episodes in there? (Which one, actually? There's one called "All scenes about Rhaegar and Lyanna in Game of Thrones S01-S06" that works.)

@@drivers99 No, the famous R+L=J Video has only scenes from season 1-5, because the video was uploaded at that time. They don't even know that was a reveal coming in season 6 by then.
@39:15: to me, Jaime’s look is the realization of his last son’s death - the only reason why Cersei would ascend the throne at that very moment. And the certainty that Cersei is behind the destruction of the Sept so yes, maybe fear and disgust. He knows Cersei destroyed hundreds of innocents and that along with the Sparrows, she coldly murdered the Tyrells and their uncle Kevan Lannister, using wildfire. And remember, Jaime betrayed his oath and his king to prevent the destruction of King’s Landing by wildfire in order to save innocents. Plus, in a way, Cersei is also responsible for Tommen’s suicide. She could not ignore he would be crushed by Margaery’s death and left him alone anyway. Jaime is appalled by his sister, I think, even though he cannot help loving her. It’s the most toxic relationship ever, because he is very much aware of the monster she is. His eyes scream ‘WHAT.HAVE.YOU.DONE?!!!’ and hers ‘I did what needed to be done. Paid all my debts’.
They all got what they deserved. There were no innocents.
Mrs October, you’re right: Gilly knows “S”. The actress playing Gilly, Hannah Murray, graduated in English Literature.
honestly that’s the fun fact i needed today! love that!
When the violin hits at the baby part - get chills every time.
And it was all for nothing.
The trial scene with the setting, the music, the building tension and the final explosion is my favorite scene from GOT. It's all the more incredible since clues to Cersei's plan had been placed during previous episodes.
- Episode 6: at the beginning, Bran has multiple visions of the past and the future, and we see the wild fire spreading underground
- Episode 7 : Olenna tells Cersei that she is surrounded by enemies and asks her if she plans to kill them all by herself :)
- Episode 8: when Jaime speaks to Edmure in the tent, he tells him Cersei would be ready to reduce cities to ashes for her children
- Episode 8: Cersei and Qyburn discuss an "old rumor" that Qyburn's little birds confirmed, saying there was much more than they thought
- Episode 9: Tyrion tells Daenerys that the Mad King had scattered caches of wild fire under several places in the city, including the sept of Balor
Yes! We saw that scene of the wildfire roaring through the tunnel in several of Bran's visions. It's definitely a hint that he is capable of seeing future events.
Ramin Djawadi is a absolute genius
The little birds went all Children of the Corn on Pycelle's ass
That was-FUNNY !!! Couldn't stop laughing !!! LOL.
"Children of the Corn" made me afraid of children. And I was a child when I watched it. 😂
one of the best episodes...:)
15:31 my favourite scene I always get chocked up , davos actor absolutely nailed it so good
It is infuriating to see Margaery die like this. A lot was happening behind the scenes. If you listen carefully to her dialog with the High Sparrow, it seems like Margaery had an agreement with him about Loras and probably about Cersei. I am quite convinced that she had negotiated conversion (and safety) for Loras and death for Cersei. Then, she would have whispered in the King’s ear to overturn the Sparrows, destroy them and restore the full glory of the Crown. She was playing a long and strategic game. Cersei got to her first, because she is tactical, quick and vicious. Same happened when Robert died. She acted fast and decisively by putting Joffrey on the Throne and throwing Ned in a cell. That’s why Varys told Ned that his mercy killed Robert. Cersei is merciless and ready to do anything to preserve herself (and her children as long as they live- insofar as they accept to be extensions of herself). She is a blatant narcissist. Also, it is quite funny to realize that her plan is drawn based on a discussion with Tommen and her last chat with Olenna. She did exactly what both suggested.
Love Jaime throwing shade at Frey
Mrs. October using 200 IQ to understand the tower scene 😊
I knew I would enjoy your reaction to this one immensely. You did not disappoint. Definitely my favorite episode in the entire series😊
Davos is more of a father to Shireen than Stannis ever was just in that one scene.
amen
You're one of the few reactors that untangled the Jon Snow enigma so swiftly. Kudos, very impressive commentary, you guys are on point on a very complex show.
They still didn’t get it all..
Yeah "they didn't get it all" and just making the comment risks giving away "the spoiler" of spoilers...I really hate that about watching reaction videos 😅
Holy shit just refreshed my UA-cam and this popped up! That’s ma night sorted 😊 xx
Cersei didn't know Tommen would kill himself. He sent The Mountain to stop Tommen from going to the Sept.
She believed in the prophecy. She got dressed for her coronation even before tommen jumped.
The opening to this episode absolutely blew me away when I first watched it - that score just elevates it to god-tier television
When in doubt, blame Middlefinger. He is balls-deep in everything. John Aryn's death, Middlefinger. Ned's death, Middlefinger. And yes, it appears even Robert's Rebellion can be blamed on Middlefinger.
Ramsay Bolton too. But this time it didn't turn out like he wanted. He wanted Sansa to rule the North, not Jon.
@@gunkulator1 nah, Ramsey is cruel and brutal, but he's a rank amateur at scheming when juxtaposed to Middlefinger.
I never really liked Cersei, but holy shit was that a power move. Cersei plays the game better than anyone.
"He just walked off" AND "He needs to step up". HAHAHA! He did both.
First time using piano in GOT.
Another of my favorite episodes. So well crafted.
The story i think they 'had' to tell about Lyanna is that she was 'killed'. Everything Ned had to do to protect that baby. Our honorable Ned.
Our sweet stupid honorable Ned
You guys are some of the only reactors to notice the Tyrell and Martell ships.
how can you not those things were awesome
@@TheOctobersReactI think everyone gets so caught up on her finally going to Westeros they miss it.
The actress in the awful scene with The Mtn and Cersei was the actress who played the club owner in the hit series Ted Lasso. This episode is one of the series best imo🔥. Loved your reactions to it!
This scene with Cersei & the Septa is the one the actress recently talked about the trauma she has from that scary scene, pinned down, the wine
She was wine boarded.
46:02 Man I was waiting for those actual words to come out of one their mouths and it took a while 😅
lol better late than never !
Jon did what Stannis never could. If he did that, he probably would probably be still alive.
The music is just... *Chef's kiss
This episode had my jaw on the floor the night it aired. Simply amazing.
9:36 “he needs to step up as a king…”
Tommen, “stepping up” to the window ledge: “Say no more, bro.” #yeet
I'M SCREAMING! My favorite episode! The opening music is my ringtone and alarm 😅
The wildfyre was the "rumor" that Qyburn mentioned to Cersei.
The last thing I heard about the actor who played Hot Pie was that he had his own restaurant called "Hot Pie's Hot Pies." That was years ago though, so I don't know if it's still open.
This is my favorite episode of the series… it’s perfection..
Cersei's coup was foreshadowed in the preceding four episodes:
in 6x06 , Bran saw a vision of wildfire explosions in tunnels;
in 6x07, Olenna told Cersei that she was surrounded by thousands of enemies, and asked her "You're going to kill them all by yourself?";
in 6x08 , Jaime suggested that Cersei would do anything to protect her children, like "burn cities to ash";
and in Battle of the Bastards (6x09) , Tyrion prominently mentioned that Jaime killed the Mad King due to his plans to destroy the city with his secret caches of wildfire...
Lots of people had to pause after tommen lol
THE BEST EPISODE IN THE SERIES! Just FYI, The Mad King (Aerys II) had 3 children (with his sister-wife, Rhaella): Rhaegar, Viserys, and, Daenerys. Rhaegar had 2 children with his wife (Elia Martell - Oberyn's sister) who were all killed by The Mountain. All that just to say, any child born to Rhaegar after that incident, would have more of a claim to the Iron Throne ahead of any of his younger siblings.
Only Rhaegar's true born sons can make the claim. Bastards cannot inherit without special dispensation from the king.
Bro...your wife/girlfriend is SMART! She's catching all the details!
9:40 "Im about to do the opposite of that" lmao
Always like when Lyanna Mormont gives her speech for Jon, its like his birth mother is there for him..
When he said 'He needs to step up as a King" I was like he's about to 😂😂😂
He stupped up alright, then gravity took hold!
Then on to Walder!!!
I'm loving the conversation around each episode. A friend of mine and myself used to seriously discuss each episode, and it's the theories, trying to figure out what was going to happen. I loved Jon Snow, and him actually being Stark and Targearyn = the song of ice and fire, he is both. We used to watch After the Thrones after each episode. So many great memories, and I get to revisit them through you. Love it!
16:01 "I don't think she did it on purpose." What?! She is the one who lit the pyre!!
You guys are right abuot the 'heir' situation. The rules are that after a ruler dies, it passes first to thier trueborn sons, eldests first, then to their trueborn daugters, and then onto brothers and so on. So yeah, at Winterfell, Sansa has way more claim to inherit it especially because Jon isn't even a trueborn son of Ned, everyones thinks he's hes bastard. Which is why Jon calls Sansa 'The Lady of Winterfell', even tho they just chose him as King in the North
Re: The Iron Throne, since after the Mad King the heir was Rhaegar, after him comes his trueborn sons/daugters before Dany, who's his only sibling alive. But Jon aint a trueborn son of Rhaegar either. Rhaegar was married to Ellaria Martell, Oberyn's sister, and their trueborn childs were murdered by the Mountain as babies so yeah... Dany has still more claim than Jon to The Iron Throne as things stand.
Not quite. In the first season Sansa and her Septa talk about what would happen if she and Joffrey only had daughters. And the answer was her trueborn daughters would be skipped over in favor of Tommen.
Lol. He just needs to step up as a king. 2 seconds later he steps up on the windowsill.
This is the one I've been waiting for.
There's an excellent video about the music in the episode. Up to this point, we have had full strings, traditional music. For this episode, we have empty, haunting piano music, a modern instrument to signify an introduction of the new order. I love this music.
This is my favourite episode, and I really enjoyed your reaction, thank you. Kudos to you for working things out so quickly.

Ms. October: "Everybody makes mistakes"
not the Octobers siding and feeling sympathy for the red women after burning a innocent little girl and leading stannis into defeat😵💫 ... lol I can't blame ya'll, I sided with cersei in this episode, loved her revenge against those hypocrites and margerie, as a protective mom she grew on me. Great reaction !!!
i think i just want to give her some credit for resurrecting jon. i hated what she did to shireen lol (i balled like a baby) but i like that she saved jon idk that’s the only reason i said it at all
I really enjoys you guys’ reactions, one of my favorite channels, funny, and authentic, my best wishes for yall
Arya went full mission impossible ripping off the mask!
Am I a nerd to say I envy Sam entering that library? 🤓 The green flame in Lancel's eyes and the Sept blowing to smithereens. And that still was not all of the wild fire stored in the city. Good on you for remembering the witch who prophesied "gold will be their shrouds." 😎 Also, remember that Lyanna told Ned, "Promise me..."
The three instigators of the Red Wedding were Tywin Lannister, Roose Bolton, and Walder Frey. They all died like their victims. Tywin by crossbow like Grey Wind, Roose by knife to the heart like Robb, and Frey by slash to the throat from behind like Catlyn.
The king of the north scenes I think may be my favourite scene in the entire series.
Walder wasn't the only character to die by a method he used to kill. The other orchestrators of the red wedding did too, Tywin by crossbow as many of the people in the hall did and Roose Bolton by a dagger in the heart as he did to Robb.
It's not even confined to villains. 1x1 Ned beheads someone with his greatsword, 1x10 he gets beheaded by the same sword. I know there are other examples that I can't think of right now, but it's definitely a trend of reaping what you sow.
Edit: I got the Ned thing wrong. His was that he killed Ser Arthur Dayne with his own ancestral sword, then was killed with his own ancestral sword. Dayne's sword was called Dawn and wasn't Valyrian steel but was forged from a crashed meteorite that landed near the ancestral home of House Dayne, called Starfall. You didn't get to wield Dawn just by being the lord of Starfall, you also had to prove yourself worthy in some unknown way but parts of it are exceptional swordsmanship and honour beyond question. If no current member of the house measure up, it remains in the great Hall awaiting it's next user, who is always known as The Sword Of The Morning.
"Cersei's not gonna off herself so she doesn't have to go to trial?" No, she was gonna of THEM😂😂😂😂
The Winds Of Winter is by far the BEST episodes of the series, and was and voted as everyone's favorite finale throughout the series. It was officially this episode where we finally had to just wash our hands with Cersei. She was officially unredeemable from this point.
From the explosion killing all those ppl(Including Margery), to Tommen's suicide, Arya's ultimate revenge, Jon's true lineage, and then Jon being crowned the King of the North. This finale was on ultimate steroids
🔥🔥🔥
Now on to season 7😈😈
The mountain for sure is just standing there breaking her bones a little at a time.
Sam walking into the library....look at the upper right corner of the screen, you'll see the Chandelier that's in the opening sequence.
This was the BEST episode!!!!
honestly so far; YES!
You could say, Tommen made a King's Landing
Commenting before watching. This is the one I was waiting for.
“He needs to step up as a King” 😂
This two episode stretch was/is so good it’s wild
7:17 the way that person got hit with the bell was extra disrespectful 😂
you guys will be watching house of the dragon after right?! omg i love rhaenyra targaryen so much!!
THIS is the episode I love to watch reactions to more than any other. The whirlwind of suspense and emotions from scene to scene. And my favorite reveal.. The tension buildup with the music and the scene transition to Jon Snow still gives me goosebumps. If only he knew who he really was.
The Son(g) of Ice & Fire
23:17 Remember the story Bran told about the Rat Cook? That was a story Old Nan was telling every Stark's children, they all know it.
27:35 S01E01 "You may not have my name but you have my blood. We'll talk about your mother when I come back" -Ned Because he would be a man of the night watch and outside the reach of kings and especially, Robert's wrath.
I love how the show does a complete 180. The first three seasons are just how far can the Lannisters profit and gain power, all while the Starks are all dying and being torn apart, and the further the show goes along after season 4, the Lannisters slowly die off while the surviving Starks use their misfortune and loss to strengthen themselves and return to full strength.
I adore how people catch the haunting music by the amazing Ramin Djawadi - it's so sort of off but perfect for setting this finale. I get chills still!
45:12 OOOEEEW. That cracked me up. 😂
The mountain was taking off his armor… he is NOT a robot 😂😂😂
Happy you're back guys!!! After this reaction I'm going to watch History and Lore season 6 and then I'll wait for season 7 ,one of my favorite seasons of this work of art ❤
@theoctobers Great video guys love all your content, not sure if anyone else has said this already . In the library with Sam and Gilly but there is a scene at 14:31 with something hanging from the ceiling, well that is the same thing in the starting credits
So lucky, you guys can just watch Season 7. We waited so long, re-watched all the seasons and S7 trailers.
But I’ll always love hearing Frey refer to himself and Jamie as kingslayers.
In the "Shame! Shame!" Scene with Septa Unella, my thought has always been that the Mountain was going to put her eyes out as he did with Oberyn, and Cersei would indeed be the last thing she saw, however long they stretch out the torture before she actually dies. A very dark scene indeed! And Cersei did tell her that she was spending all her time imagining the most horrible death for her.
Now you have to watch "R + L = J" !!!
we did but it wouldn’t pass copyright 😢
This episode is probably the most Shakespearean out of the whole series. Cersei goes full Lady Macbeth, Tommen and Margaery do a warped Romeo and Juliet star-crossed lovers thing, Arya embraces her inner Hamlet, Littlefinger imitates Richard III, and Jon Snow embodies Henry V. There’s probably more, to be honest, but these are what most readily came to mind.
This is one of my favorite episodes (and, if I’m going to be brutally honest, probably the high water mark of the series). We see Chehkov’s gun finally go off with the wildfire, this time wielded by Cersei. There’s the dichotomy between Tyrion’s use of wildfire to defend King’s Landing vs Cersei’s application that destroyed much of the city. There’s also the way Cersei begins her official reign essentially fulfilling the Mad King’s command/promise to “burn them all!”.
Then there’s Jaime, returning to the capital to find the city in ruins, his son dead, and his sister striking a triumphant pose at her coronation. Somehow I don’t think Jaime was thinking happy thoughts when he strode into the Red Keep. If anything, the way he stared at his sister seems like the way you’d look at someone who’s just transformed into a monster right in front of you. This is the same guy that put his sword through Aerys Targaryen’s back for threatening to burn the city and its citizens to the ground with wildfire. Now he comes home to King’s Landing to find his sister having done the act, killing hundreds, if not thousands, in the act and sacrificing her son in the process. And yet there she sits upon the Iron Throne with a smug expression having finally gotten one over on her enemies. I think it’s the first time Jaime sees his sister for what she is or has become, and he doesn’t like it.
Arya demonstrates how much darker she’s become. She takes pleasure in killing now, in exacting revenge.
During Jon’s coronation as the White Wolf, Sansa gives off her own victorious smile. She’s finally outplayed Littlefinger. Baelish wanted her to become Lady of Winterfell in order to help him along toward becoming king, promising her many of the same things he promised her aunt Lysa. She lets him think what he wants for the moment. Meanwhile we get the sense she went behind Jon’s back and engineered the nobles’ support for him becoming King of the North instead, thus foiling whatever plot Littlefinger had been brewing.
The ending of the episode was cathartic. For six seasons (and many years for a few 😂) we’ve waited patiently for this moment, and finally the heroine of the series sets sail for home, an army at her back and dragons for heralds. The sails of the ships speak for themselves, black sails of the red three-headed dragon, the orange and red of Dorne, the green sails with the Golden Lily of Tyrell. A Lannister as her Hand and Greyjoys her captains, House Targaryen is united with her old allies again.
Great comment! And don't forget Titus Andronicus: eating your dead cooked sons...
House of the dragon is less than 200 years before this
Don't know about the first Three-eyed Raven, The last Three-Eyed Raven? He's was a Targaryen...and related to Maester Aemon....well, kind of.
Don't worry, We might meet him again in future spin-offs, in another life..when he wasn't the Three-eyed raven. He's one of the most badass character's in the entire saga, probably in Top 3.
Bloodraven ❤️
Hot Pie actually has a Bakery now and sells the Direwolf Bread, lol!
@TheOctobersReact Arya killing Walder Frey was soooo damn satisfying right?!! One of my top 5 moments in the series. Arya is my favorite character beginning to end. So it was so satisfying to see her finally take matters into her own hands and get some revenge for her mother and brother.
The music in this episode is fantastic!!
No it's time to watch the video r+l=j. It will explain a lot
