My PhD supervisor was the one who first discovered and purified the Arp2/3 complex :D She always tells me how excited she was back in the day doing science in the lab
@@hussainbiology Haha, I really can't take the honour. But it was one of the reasons why I decided to apply to her lab. It was a classic paper back in the day, but now the lab has moved on to a slightly different area of research now. Still linked to actin and cytoskeleton, but we asking more complex questions now about how the microenvironment affect cell behaviour and cancer metastasis.
It is a toxin came from amanita mushroom that bind to the side of actin filament monomers and prevent depolymerization. You can imagine it is a glue that stabilize the actin filament components together

Wow..That is great to hear..And now u are also associated indirectly with that discovery.✌️✌️

That is even more interesting.
All the best ahead and really nice to see u here
Great learning with Hussain
thank you very much sir g
Very good lecture! Best regards from germany
great sir...
Good topic
But Sir Plz make the video on role of non coding rna in eukaryotes
Very Good Explanation. 😊😊👍
thanks for appreciation

thank u so much
Love u bro
thank you sir i want to also microtubules assemble and disassmble sir plz
Thank a lot. Please I have a question. Can phalloidin play a great role by the actin polymerization?

Are cross linking proteins actin binding proteins?
