  • Selmer privilege bass clarinets
    Bass clarinet specialist and repairman Eric Leclerc presents three bass clarinets from Selmer and Buffet Crampon. These are the Selmer privilege bass clarinet from the black series and the rare and new special made bass clarinet in rosewood compared with the Buffet Crampon prestige 1193. Purpose of this video is to show you these special made instruments and a comparison of these three. Enjoy.

    Id like to see a Buffet Prestige 1193 vs a normal grenadilla Selmer Privilege 67 please. That would help us out more with what most of us are looking to buy.

    Thank you for the video! The chrome-plated / black bass clarinet clearly sounds darker than then both Buffet and the rosewood edition. Which is what I have observed earlier.

      They all sound fantastic, but out of the trio, I prefer the more resonant sound of the 1193.

      @@krane15 to each their own. Nothing wrong with 1193. 1195 is a fantastic horn, too. My personal choice was Privilège Model 67, in grenadilla, regular silver plated keywork. Super resonant and responsive; a beast of a bass clarinet.

      Hei , thank you, this bass is the first privilege made in rosewood and it’s not at the selmer catalog but you can order one and selmer will do it ( delivery around 12 weeks)
