- I was looking for a fun playthrough, and saw this suggested. It only changes one value in the game's code but it makes for some interesting results. Plus we can play Expert mode because all the enemy grinding disappears, it's a win-win.

I'm curious if killing a golden ladybug will decrease your luck enough for some normal enemies to start spawning. You should probably try it in case it works.

@@explosivediarrhoea4336 Negative torch luck is still there iirc, but you can't push your luck below 0 anymore with just torches.
Killing npcs also decreases luck
Might be worth trying a version of this at 49 luck instead so instead of only rare spawns, its inverted so common is rare and rare is common.

49 is still to much. Hell, 20 is probably also too much

can i just say how much i appreciate you putting all the songs you use in the description, and even timestamps for them? most channels dont do that, and i've heard SO many new songs that i love but cant find to add to my playlists because people would never put even the artist in the description, let alone names. you've introduced me to so much awesome music and i just wanna thank you a ton, even if you probably wont see this.

Chaos Elementals don't spawn lmao, I got to hardmode in my playthrough and my heart was broken, since it was my only chance to get the RoD

i think that post plantera dungeon would either be the same as pre plantera or it would turn into a military army base with paladins and ninjas
also i suggest u to get that thing that prevents picking up items, it should drop from something at underground desert
the encumbering stone is actually in a desert chest/crate, not a enemy drop, otherwise 10 million of them woulda dropped.

@@juulbes895 The manhunts don't seem to be staged. Too intricate for that. He has openly admitted that they do many attempts and he only actually posts the "good" ones, whether he wins or loses, it's gotta be interesting.
The speedrunning... yeah he definitely cheated. Doesn't mean you should bully him though. Online harassment is generally overblown and not worth it.

I wonder how this mod will affect the Zapinator, considering how "broken" its mechanics are already. imo it's worth trying out if the travelling merchant shows up with one

Yeah unless something new came up about it the dream stuff is kinda old at this point, but his fans were going around reddit style brigading to harass anyone who said anything negative about him for a while so a lot of people avoided making dream content just to not deal with them.
The tentacle spike is one of the best melee weapons in Don't Starve. Interesting mashup.

6:20 i never realized that if you get 2 weapons that are the same weapon and reforge the game will actually put the "(2)" instead of having 2 seperate lines.
Seeing a chill playthrough is fun too. Not every run has to be a hellish challenge.
Hellish challenges are fun tho, easy stuff is not that fun and engaging, I'd rather play cookie clicker.

They should make an item “dreams mask” which has a 1 in 13.5 trillion chance to drop from a halloween slime, and when equipped, it gives you max luck

A trillion is a thousand billions, and there are 8 billion people on earth. So everybody would have to kill over a thousand slimes but it could be done. And that's definitely doable in a day or so

This series is going to be so funny when you get everything super quickly. Also you should do a terraria playthrough where the world is small (don't really know how small) but the luck is set to 50

He can be locked out of the game by pinkies spawn, because you don't have enough power to contest pinkies without being able to outmaneuver them
I can see this mod actually being pretty nice for QOL, bump it to 5 or something low so the game isn't as grindy but still not broken OP.
I think my game secretly installed this mod, somehow I'm constantly getting all the rare items, 100 full ancient armor sets, a single undead miner dropped the full mining set including pickaxe, I got a slime staff from my 2nd slime kill, I got a companion cube, I got every biome key after only killing 3 enemies per biome, got the terraspark boots in prehardmode before the eater of worlds, got every single item for the cell phone in one in game day, etc

Dude you gotta continue the series, id love to see how the mod affects hardmode. Also one weapon you could try is the medusas head (or however its called), its a mage weapon that drops from medusas and i dont think ive ever seen anyone use it because of how rare it is
Hi, I learned earlier.. The constant crashing is most likely from the wandering trader attempting to appear, if it spends too long calculating its shop (which it definitely will due to the luck mod). Interesting detail
The fact that all the stuff that happened in this run could technically happen in normal gameplay is insane.
I can’t wait for hardmode, when it’s all based on rare drops instead of chests in the world, this mod will make it easy.
in hardmode get the encumbering stone to make you not pick items
P.S. farm the pirates to get the coin gun to make your coins more useful

I did something similar, and my crashes were only when the traveling merchant was going to appear, I started with luck 15 but have to lower it to 8 or something like that instead (still insane) After that when the traveling merchant appears I had a small freeze instead.
The game was probably crashing because the increased luck was trying to make the game spawn the Travelling Merchant with all his shit.
I'd love for this to continue. I'm really curious what other areas are effected by luck

I’d love to see a hard mode of this, personally! I’m still holding out hope for a Stardew randomizer run, but this series looks to be really fun (both for you and the viewer, I should hope- the mention of the no e’s run conjured images of the hell-scape that it was, an amazing series for sure but god the shear pain and time it must have taken)

There is a way around the enemy spawns, as mentioned killing lady bugs and other methods of lowering luck would help, you can also build in areas so they arent the right size for certain enemies like say dungeon slimes to spawn

Now do a speedrun with it on, then submit it, then get it verified, then get it deleted because the chances of getting 5 gold portals every once in a while is closely impossible, deny it, after 6 months say that you cheated and say it's an accident.
I definetally want to see more of this.

Always wondered what would happen with raising luck. Saw a vid that went in depth on luck-items scaling, and was curious if there was a mod that changed that statistic. Now I know there is one, and what happens with luck raised. Much appreciated 👍✌

I hope you do a hard mode playthrough and see what changes! I have. A few guesses you could try and prove:
1. Before fighting any mech bosses, enemies might drop their summoning items frequently eliminating the need for lenses and bones
2. Truffle worms and prismatic lacewings everywhere in their biomes, be careful
3. Traveling merchant finally selling all the good items
4. Aside from dungeon slimes, there might also be paladins and Skeletons like Bone Lee and Commando since they're rare enemies
5. Since some items give a chance for an effect like ninja gear's dodge, maybe it would work all the time?
6. Ocean mobs may drop a lot of pirate maps and sharks spawn a lot
7. Wyverns and alien probes every time you sky spelunk
8. Life fruits in every jungle corner
9. Rare NPCs like truffle and party girl spawning as frequently as nornal NPCs if available.
10. Angler quest reward changes
since you already got the frog leg, it will probably be worth it to get the amphibian boots since they are very powerful
so in the end dream didnt cheated, he just had very good luck, by cheating

Funny enough, given King Slime's spawn chance that crops up near the edges (only for grass tiles), that means he should effectively REPLACE Pinky if you're on the Outer Sixths of the world. Imagine 5 or 6 King Slimes attacking at once.

I did at one point get two slime staff drops about three hours apart. It was actually useful as my first summon too, unlike how I usually find one endgame

Advise for expert+ skeletron: your best weapon against his hands is the boomstick or quad barrel. I usually go with boomstick since it has a much tighter spread. The best weapon for his head is the bees knees. Beenades are less effective against skeletron and the WOF in expert+ but to my knowledge the bees fired by the bees knees are unaffected.
