there is a way you could technically get all 6 keys in one enemy, and that's by summoning the eater of worlds, killing one segment in your five biome area, then adding in some hallow and killing another
well if you count the segments as different enemies

@@dazcarrr the game doesnt count EoW segments or moon lord segments as the same enemy - theyre counted as separate entities

@@liuqmno3421 they arent. the game counts EoW segments as separate entities, thats why some people summon EoW/BoC at the ocean to get pirate maps since each segment have the % to drop

After looking in the sourse code, I can confirm that the tounged debuff has a parameter that prevents the nurse from removing it when healing.
what decompiler you have used?
Mf apparently looked through thousands of terraria code to find out that the nurse can't remove a debuff but still can't spell source

Myth, using a pre set portal arrangement you can get the WoF to drag you indefinitely until it despawns
Could be interesting, especially with the second portal being useable while being dragged

I was wondering this when they shown you can still shoot the blue portal when being pulled
I believe the portals are techincally a block and the tongue pulls you through blocks, so I dont think it would work but who knows.
Maybe with teleporters and cobwebs instead?

Myth: extra thorns damage is applied to the player when hitting yourself with a grenade wearing turtle armor/thorns potion
I have two reasons why I think this myth won’t work:
1. Thorns doesn’t work on projectiles, only when you touch an entity.
2. Thorns doesn’t work in multiplayer so there is no reason why it would work on yourself.

Glad to see more Mythbusting! I really enjoy this series. Half the fun is in the creative ideas people think of to test. I have yet to think of any interesting edge cases to do science on lol. Keep up the good work.

I think the meteor would be able to destroy the shrine but you wouldn’t get anything, even if there’s an enchanted sword.

I thought that the nurse could only heal debuffs while hurt. So what if you tried again but had turned off god mode before asking to be healed, timing could be weird but I think it could work as it’s forcing her to heal you.
I've healed a debuff with full health before
Debuffs still heal on full health, with a few exceptions including potion sickness

The toung isnt a debuff but an animation which forces the player to fight the wall
Myth: Duke fishron will just ram at you if the projectile limit is capped.
I think he'll just stand around for when he spits bubbles.
im pretty sure the duke would just do its normal attack cycle, just without the projectiles
@@hambubger8583 the 2 special attacks he has are detonating bubbles and sharknados, both projectiles

@@hurricanessuck8070 Well... if you google ''detonating bubble'', it says: detonating Bubble is *a projectile fired by Duke Fishron.* It can be destroyed with any weapon or damage-inflicting tool in one hit. Duke Fishron summons Detonating Bubbles by spraying a cluster of them at the player in his first stage, and summons them while spinning in circles in his second stage.

Can you please do a no projectiles/beach ball playthrough? (At the beginning of the game you spawn in many beach balls at the edge of the world to fill the projectile limit and then try to beat the game)
That would be impossible as no block drops, enemies, and you're limited to true melee
@@scrap.0741 Being limited to true meele is the real challenge. But this also applies to enemies and bosses. Drops continue to work because they are not projectiles but entities.

Nice to see the series back! My myth: frog leg, amphibian boots and soaring insignia not only does increase your jump height, but also any double jump item's jump height
1.4.2 made it so that the frog leg and amphibian boots no longer stack with each other, so you could only test this with one of those and soaring insignia
this is true. Shiny red balloon increases their jump height.
myth: if you get a boss message (like "this is going to be a terrible night") you can summon another boss and the other won't spawn
(sorry if it's already done)
you can spawn another boss, but the other one will also spawn as well
which can result in multiple of the same boss
Pretty sure the telegraphed one spawns naturally regardless but i could be wrong.

The fun part of this is that if you do it with the actual twins, each retinazer will have the red connecting sprite to both spazmatisms, making a square shape connecting all 4 of them

Myth: you can place portals out of bounds.
Myth: Duke fishron can be summoned using anything with bait power 666%
12:50 Wait, how does the portal gun work with the tongue? If you get tongued and pass through the area covered by a portal, do you get pulled through the portal, or dragged "over" it? Could you get pulled by the tongue in an infinite loop [until WoF reaches the other end] in this way?
I would assume it would just be an endless loop until WoF respawned. Very interesting.
I'll test it
You can also use autopause to talk to npcs mid fight, instead of cobwebs

They removed that in 1.4 unfortunately

Also i have a myth.. Well more of an experiment, where would NPCs spawn if the entire world was made of suitable homes .. Or rather which homes they would pick. Ofc you can use a super small world to test this
All choices on that one are purely random; Even if a home in a preferred biome is available, it basically rolls a die and chooses which home currently suitable they'll go in.
I would have tried Plantera for the despawning, personally, though I doubt it would change anything.
Plantera just seems like the easiest boss to despawn via proximity, in my experience.
thats because it is, ive tried luring it to an arena and it despawned at least 4 times, skeletron at a tie because the bitch just NYOOMS away in multi if hes even slightly off screen
Myth: Wall of flesh tongue debuff won’t activate if all the buff/debuff slots are filled with debuffs
I think it will just replace the first debuff you got
@@homevander The oldest, yeah. It happens in normal gameplay, especially noticeable if you use a Red's Potion.

Myth: You can get UNDER the Martian Saucer’s death ray?
I’m glad to see more of this series! These myths are really interesting to see and to see them tested. Plus I get to look like a wizard when I show off the stuff I’ve learned from these mythbusters episodes
Myth: I dont know if you can damage the Old man if you have the clothier vodoo doll from another world, but if you can: Killing the Old man with the doll equiped in a world before Skeletron has been defeated will still spawn the boss
Tested already, you are not able to hurt the old man with the voodoo doll pre-skeletron

@@plzletmebefrank I'll test that once I get home, I have a bunch of ways to indirectly kill the Old Man (Or the Clothier, in worst case scenario) that might work
Myth: by setting the left click portal ahead of time you can use the portal gun to teleport while attached to the tongue by right using the right click portal
I remember getting a jungle bat to drop a Corrupted Key and Jungle Key at the same time before, but I didn't think much of it. Going back on it now, it's actually insane how I got that lucky, especially since I wasn't even using a farm. I just got it near the entrance of the underground Jungle where corruption was spreading nearby.
Myth: Ice rod won't work if the projectile limit is capped.

Myth: If you find a way to spawn two Walls of Flesh at the same time, going opposite directions, you can get stuck being pulled by both at once.
got snapped in half by the Wall of Flesh duo...
By the way, there is a mod that allows boss knockback and if you hit WoF it turns around, so that could possibly be used to test this myth.
I love your choice of music in these. A lot of it takes me back to better days, and some of it I haven't heard before so it keeps me on my toes and wondering what it's from.
Myth: if you kill a prismatic lacewing while you use a golf ball to go into a different biome it will still spawn
i believe eol spawns regardless of biome, she will just be enraged
eol can be spawned in any biome, it's quite possible to just quickly place and then attack it
Myth: Projectiles can bounce off of a mimic, then bounce off another mimic

Myth: moonlords laser death can reach the underworld if one player is in the under world and the other is in the surface
No, the range limit of the deathray is far less than that.

The thing with the nurse is I would recommend trying to some how take damage first before healing at her to try to see if it makes a difference.

Myth: you can summon 2 Walls of flesh by throwing 2 voodo dalls at the same moment(maybe can be done in multiplayer).
the WoF only spawns if the guide is alive, even if you timed it perfectly, it seems pretty unlikely
@@Mramazing-mv2ix well, if both dolls reach the point where WoF is summoned at the same frame, the guide would be alive for both
Putting lava on top of a bunch of dolls would achieve the same effect, so it's unlikely to work.
Multiplayer? What about dropping them on an actuating platform? This is 200% easier

Myth: if you turn it to day when fighting Skeletron and then turn it to night he will not instant kill you and will be normal again.
Myth: If something (say, an NPC) kills Wall of Flesh while you’re hooked up to its tongue, the tongue will disappear and you will be set free
We know if WoF despawns it lets go from the mythbuster episode in which he used it to glitch into the jungle temple. Killing it will have the same effect
1:18 sounds like the perfect key farm though. Having all keys possible means you can AFK and expect to get all five keys eventually
Myth: Can you damage yourself with a gun if you shoot it, teleport somewhere else, change teams, and get hit by the shot? What about other projectiles?
I tried this with a bow and it didn’t seem to work so I assume with other projectiles it wouldn’t work either

myth: using a celestial sigil and then killing the cultist and all four pillars will spawn 2 moon lords
was oblitareted by two moons...
One of my friends tried using a celestial sigil during the lunar event, didnt work

Try and place an Orange Portal and use your Right click to place a Blue portal and use it to go in an endless loop being dragged by the WoF, being too far from the the Orange Portal will make it disappear tho.
Also does that mean you can rightclick objects? Theres a stationary portal too you can right click, just …maybe…… :)
Myth: Daytime Skeletron loses it's one-shot damage and invincibility if it re-becomes night. (Re-becomes regular Skeletron)
it doesn't go out of enraged mode after so unlikely but plausible
No, skeletron and his metal variant won't goes back to they normal behavior after goes back to night again, it remain enraged forever

Myth: What happens when you are almos full of money in your inventory and sell an item that overloads it? (I know its a question lol)
Myth: You get scammed if selling an item overflows your money capacity

Myth: when projectile capped, you cant shoot any projectile but your mana still decrease (using mage weapon btw)
This is the series that first brought me to your channel, and I haven't regretted it since. Great to see it back, and I hope to see more of it!
Myth: you can have more than two Eyes of Cthulhu active at the same time.
You might achieve this by summoning one and then using journey mode to constantly alternate night and day until you trigger an evil presence watching you, waiting for it to resolve, and then repeating that to get even more.
The reason why I think this could work is because with normal gameplay you can already have more than one EoC, by summoning one and having an evil presence watching you in the same night.
He literally just did that in this video
Myth: With enough defense or damage reduction or whatever else that reduces damage, it's possible to survive a hit from Daytime EoL.
i'll allow mods for this because lmao
Myth: If a dirt bomb and a water bomb were thrown on the same frame the dirt would destroy the water.
Or maybe it'd be like when you place blocks in water. The waters still there, just... Behind the blocks? I guess?

For your next challenge play through you should do that the only kind of mobility item allowed are mounts
Myth: You can still use the Ice Rod during the Old Ones Army event.
That is in fact confirmed, i used it sometimes for an extra protection for the crystal (and i think it stated on the wiki i didn't really remember) but yeah you can test it to really confirm it

Myth: The evil biomes spread faster in the “for the worthy” seed
Call me crazy but does it also increase spawn rate, I swear playing on that seed makes places like the world evil and jungle over populated...
@@artificers-predecessor I think there's something weird with spawn rates in general, as I have a master mode world with fairly low spawn rates, and a expert mode world with spawn rates so high its literally unplayable.

The ice rod shoots a projectile, & projectiles don’t work when the projectile limit is reached, so this won’t work

theres an enchanted moondial now. we can probably keep EoC for 2 nights with it
The reason why the biome key one worked is that there is no queueing or overriding involved. They can drop very rarely and at the same time because the only condition they need is a biome. I got both crimson key mold and jungle key mold from a hornet in a slightly crimmed jungle back in 1.2.

Myth: When you get the Eye of Cthulhu spawn message, summoning a 2nd one and killing it before the 1st one spawns will prevent the natural eoc from spawning
IIRC It does prevent the natural one. I've actually inadvertently done this a few times lol
with the wall of flesh tongue heal myth, try turning off god mode and seeing if you can heal like that. i'm unaware if you can heal a debuff away without actually having health missing, so could be an ignorant suggestion, but those are just my thoughts on it. loved the vid, you're very knowledgeable

the 24 block wide world is actually a really good endscreen and also almost fits inbetween the cards

I like the mental image of the player suddenly bursting through the nurse's house, dragged by a fleshy tendril, desperately trying to get her to help and she's just like "I ain't got time for this shit"
Eye of Cthulhu in the Underworld when it senses it's daytime: "Looks like I'm blasting off agaiiiiiiiin!"
WoF is one of the most broken bosses in the game, yet people keep on trying to break it. xD
Also, the EoC rocketed away 'cuz he stayed up past curfew and needed to get back before Moon Lord wakes up and notices.
Anyways, a myth I was gonna suggest and many others also seem to also be suggesting, myth: One can be infinitely dragged by the WoF using the Portal Gun by preplacing an orange portal before the fight.

I'm pretty sure they changed the shark agro, when i made a shark farm maybe 6 months ago, they weren't agroing from a separate water source, or even one that was connected if they couldn't reach you
