His performance seemed very easy, so I thought it was easy to play the cello and decided to become a cellist. Yo-Yo Ma fooled me. But I still want to meet him and still want to play cello well. When I was 7(ish), I saw 2 Cellos' performance of Thunderstruck, and I also saw Yo-Yo Ma's performance of The Swan and I decided to be a cellist but it was harder than I thought, so I kept trying, and now I'm 12 years old and now playing Vivaldi Sonatas.
As a cellist myself, I am so sick of hearing this piece. But listening to Yo-Yo Ma play it unaccompanied was utterly beautiful and exactly what I needed to hear after this long day. Thank you!
I love his music, and his interest in genres beyond classical. But even more, I love his humanity. He is a wonderful human being. Yo-yo is what a real-life superhero looks like.
How to relieve stress and anxiety? Listen to a master playing his cello. Thank you, Mr. Ma. We need and greatly appreciate your gift of music. May you live to be 100, and I, 99.
The legend himself i like how the acoustics differ between where we usually see Yo-Yo Ma in large rooms and halls and then there’s the upclose personal wholesome performance (love it)
Bernstein's Young People's Concerts were my mainstay for classical music as a child. We lived nowhere near an orchestra. I remember the little boy who played the cello so beautifully. He has grown musically and so I. Bless you, dear sir.

almost 10 years ago, YoYo Ma came to my town and performed a concert, I went there... that was a great experience and incredible moment. sometimes I still think about that memory... and I was really young and I really fell in love with him and his music (as a big teenage fan back then) now I am 50 years old... but still, I am a big fan! Love his music.. I really appreciate his next step into life
