    Just got a brand new Toro Recycler Smart Stow with the Personal Pace. I absolutely love it, seems to leave a few straglers when I cut so I am overlapping my cuts now by a few inches. Seems to fix the issue, just about too head out and mow the lawn now, have a great sunday 😊

    I did the same exact thing about 2 months ago with the same exact mower. I got the Big League Striping kit and it works great but you can no longer use the stowaway option.
    I don’t know why, but when I pull back the handle on my Super Recycler sometimes it won’t go in reverse. I push it forward a little bit and try again, sometimes it works sometimes it don’t. A little upsetting for a new mower.

    I would think your wife would be saying;" You mean to tell me you spent all that money on a greens mower and now you're not going to use it?" * I will never go back to using a rotary mower for my front again. As soon as I bought my reel mower, immediately my grass took off to the next level. It's way too hard to keep a rotary blade sharp. A rotary wacks the grass and the sharpness soon starts to dull just a bit leaving a light brownish tinge across your lawn from the tips being frayed. Grass looses water moisture when that happens and increases disease pressure with the frayed tips. * I love my reel mower and will always use it because of the difference. Oh, and one more thing, I agree the down side is no suction, but I mow up and then back, and then cross mow( a triple cut) and that gives me a very clean cut. It helps that I only have 1500 Sq. Ft. * Just wanted to share my ideas. I hope it continues to work out good for you. You must have a flat lawn. I never spread sand to level my lawn but I mow at an inch to 1 1/8" so it's really not an issue. I used to scalp in areas with the rotary though. But never with my reel. Take care jim

    How often are you having to sharpen the mower blade on the 60v Super Recycler? When I had it I was having to sharpen it every 3rd mow. I recently sold that mower and I'm trying out the Milwaukee m18 battery mower. I mostly use my 30in timemaster.

    • @JimmyLewisMows
      @JimmyLewisMows  10 місяців тому +2

      Haven’t sharpened it yet. I typically sharpen 1-2 times throughout the season.

    • @pczapp827
      @pczapp827 10 місяців тому +1

      I sharpen my timemaster after 3 mows of 5,000'
      I think it could go 5 times if your not picking
      up sand & dust, but it is less to take off if you
      sharpen more often.
      My 21" snapper can only go 2 times & it is really
      dull compared to the toro 30".
      The shorter toro blades are much easier to
      handle & sharpen.
      I use a file,time consuming but works well.

    Cutting at an inch? In certain arras that would destroy you grass. Interesting that i get calls from people with battery mowers that they just died and they cant mow because it died only after 2 or three years. On another note i tried a miluwakee battery powered back pack sprayer. It last 5 minutes on a full 24 hour charge. Took it back and now i have gas powered one. Just saying.

    I think these robot lawn mowers are for lazy people. I can see owning one if I traveled a lot or for elderly people. I bought my parents one that cost me $3400 and my dad made me take it back because it was for lazy people, At 78 years old he still cut his own lawn. He said if I die behind the mower let it be. He still refuses to let me or my brother cut his lawn. I still send someone over to my parents' home to clean their home. My dad cannot say anything to the women
    because I hired someone who doesn't speak english.😁
