I've the F800 front & rear. F800 & F800 Pro both have the same Sony camera & sensors but I found your video quality much better than mine. Maybe I need to play with the settings. I've hardwired the cables with the ignition box, no need to use the cigarette lighter. Get the rear cam as well.
I have the Thinkware F750 and it's been awesome. I'm thinking of upgrading it now to this model. The beeping is when the camera detects what it thinks is an impact, and automatically saves the clip so it can't be overwritten. You can adjust these settings in the app.
Where is the impact being saved?
I'm getting mine installed at a dealership.
I want this camera, it's fantastic. By the way, your dog is very funny.
Not a bad video apart from telling your poor pooch to shut up. 1. You don't need those little clips for the wire, all you have to do is tug the wire in to the lining 2. The rear camera will cost you around £77 3. The super night vision can be turned on n off in the settings and you can also use the parking mode but according to them it will only record 3-5 hours using your car's battery so they recommend to use a battery pack which would be around £168 or so to use parking mode 4. The beeping you hear or we heard on the video is the g sensor in the camera which means that it detected a hard impact on the vehicle. Its best to hardwire the camera to your vehicle but to each their own.
ditto on this. you can tuck the wire under the header lining and the trim to get the wire down to the dash. It's easier to go round the other side (passenger side) than to go around/over the steering column.
He could have mounted it on the roof of the car and drilled a 20 mm hole to put the cable through it would look better than what he has done
Tuck it in under your headliner, that’s what I did and open the side panel and make sure put the wire under the airbag if you have one..
Thumbs up for displaying dominance.
The camera beeped when you hit a bump. it might have thought you hit something. I would check the video logs.
Take your dog for the walk and then do your review .....
French Montana doing dash cam reviews now?🤔🤔🤔😂🤣
Awesome camera, now get your doggie home and give him/her hugs and scratches and treats. :)
+Tommy TMT lol
Just slightly worried that you are wearing sunglasses in low light conditions. These accessories are all about staying safe and protecting yourselves along with others. Any compromise to safety rather defeats the object of what you are trying to achieve. Perhaps only use sunglasses if there is bright sunlight unless you have a vision issue (photosensitivity) which means that you have to wear sunglasses all the time.
Care of your lovely dog. Go for walk
I'm not sure if you know, but you're driving on the wrong side of the road...... yikes! Great review tho! ;) How is the night vision? I'm looking at the same camera.
C Steele it's really good! Some kind of specialize in low light sensors
Also has it got a wake up mode and will start to shoot, when someone knocks you when parked
Can you set the camera so that it only records Visual and not audio?
Good question...I'll have to check. I pretty sure you can within the app.
Jab Jab yes
Nice video cool dog
That's One Awesome Dash Cam 🤟🔥👍 ^_^ 😍
Nice Troy but you need some cable management practice 😁
PCTechHub haha yes! Damn cables everywhere
WhatGear 😝
I wish I had gotten the cable adhesives. Lol they were left out of my package.
Nice review Troy. Tho, a cam isn't the solution to your crash issues/conflicts ... obviously the problem is that *omg* y'all are driving on the wrong side of the road!! Ehhehe I crack myself up :D ANYway thx for the nice overview video.
+T``` B``` Lol that's what Jeremy Clarkson would say about you guys!
Awesome!
shame he dosent show how to set up the app
because ive tried everything and it wont auto connect to iphone hotspot
You got the thumbs up because of the dog
What camera/ equipment are you using to film in your car?
I was just using my phone for this one
I doubt "film" is involved...
It's expensive compared to the other normal ones
You on the wrong side of the road
+ThatGuyScott lol
You really should have watched some videos of how to install the camera before videoing your failed attempt to install the camera.
Hey! Don’t you tell Doggo to shut up! Lol
+justforthetv Lol yeh sorry about that
Ok praising the F800 is good enough but for users it is a night mare; there is no clear indication about the setting to a phone, it prompts for password; there is no given password, don't know where the password is, its a mystery. only after purchased and install that you know such things. its discouraging.
JERRY RAMKELAWAN i agree totally, trying to get mine to stay connected to the phone is also a nightmare. Watching all these videos to try and figure it out before i return it. Good instructions would help!
Yes read the manual then upload the video MR crack
Does it have GPS, incident or capture (if you have an accident on a trip), and give speed of vehicle? And what about extreme car interior (direct hot sun) temperatures?
this dashcam is pretty much the cream of the crop. It does all of those things well, and is made for very warm temperatures, which he won't get in the UK :)
@@gregs605 no it does not do all that. Another car sideswiped mine on the left then the other driver stayed behind my car and theres no footage at all. The f800 stopped recording for like 10 minutes after an incident
What is the difference between f800 and f800 pro?
One says pro one does not.
3:24 - swear I recognise them flats on the left as an area in Cheltenham, look familiar when I was on my way to the Park and Ride from the Motorway haha
Skewd kitchen nice place
DashCamVideo Quality is gd
a Peugeot driver OMG
Yeh it's a company car with go faster stripes lol
ya I was the 100th dislike :D
Wow congratulations ;)
500 bucks for a dash cam but the quality looks like a china made 20 bucks cam
ay ck I know your comment is a bit old. But, truthfully you don't need a camera that can record in 4k for a dash camera. Otherwise you'll end up using an absolute ton of memory and it'll write over it if it's too much.. for comparison sake. A 1 minute video in 1080p is 130MB at 30fps. But, a 1 minute video in 4k is 2GB at 30fps. Can you see more? Sure. But you'll have less if the incident is longer. And the cards provided (and at most) is 128GB. But, take that same video and multiple it by at least two because of the front and rear cameras. And you're looking at most half an hour of video not including logs, etc. And this is all rough estimation. A 4K camera can easily suck up gigabytes of space in next to no time. A 1 hour raw 4k video is give or take 110gb. 128GB by 2 is 64. 64 by 2gb per minute and you're looking at 30 minutes at most. So.. is 4k worth it? Sure. For 30 minutes. Is it necessary? No. 1920x1080p is high resolution. More than that is nice but it'll just be awhile before storage is capable of storing that much in a small space without overwrite. Right now it's just a limitation by the system.
Todd Dotson thanks Todd, this should be in their manual and ad. Appreciate your knowledge!
